This is for Bob & Scott.....

I bought a Jimmy Buffet CD - Meet Me in Margaritaville!!!!!!! :thumbsup2

We listened to it the whole day when we were driving from store to store....Mom and I both laughed when we heard the song "We Are The People Our Parents Warned Us About"!!!!!! Mom said that fit us (the 11 night cruisers) to a "T".....

Does this mean I'm a Parrothead now???????

well I tried...but I didn't reach my 10 post count for the day...sorry guys...

I'm heading to bed....the newletter will have to wait until tomorrow.....

Lynn, is hogging the main computer, so I have to use the laptop.

Ken and Shari, If you get to The Sea Ranch, Say hi to Lynn’s Dad.

Margaret and Elaine, you will be a Parrot Head when you can do “fins”, and some other secret stuff that Bob and I will make up.

Hey Bob, Jimmy owes us , since we have turned all these folks onto his music. At least he could give us a CD, or some really good concert tickets.

Now to check out the newletter.

okay...I know I said I was heading to bed...but I decided to look at the newsletter...

Tracy...you have outdone yourself.... :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

From Santa Rosa take the Russian River road through Gurneville, to the PCH, hang a right and up 30 miles. If you get to Gualala you have gone to far.

See you do need a GPS with a mapping program. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Actually, the Prius has a mapping program and we spent some time at Korbel which is part way to the coast. But now we are in Napa, so we will have to plan to trip to the coast next time.

I'm actually a dog lover too just don't happen to have one right now. We had a poodle for 18 years until we had to put him to sleep because of conjestive heart failure. It just broke my heart. Now, we travel so much I don't have anyone to doggie sit for me.

Kay, I hope you had a good time! :sunny:

We are very lucky to have a dog sitter..
College girl who comes and stays with the Girlies..

After six plus hours in the car, we spent the afternoon at Iron Horse Winery in Santa Rosa. Iron Horse makes the Faire Tale Cuvee sparkling wine available only on the Disney ships or at WDW. A great time was had by all! More sparkling wine tasting to follow tomorrow!!!!!!!!!

Ken

Hope you told Kara & Eric We all said Hi.. :teeth:

The Russian River . . . . . .

If memory serves correct from high school, an average day in the Spring was spent in class in the morning. Lunch at any of the local dining establishments and then back to school to pick up stragglers on the way to the river!! Awesome area to grow up. We usually went everyday during the summer. Can tell you all the best spots for whatever you may be looking for along that river. Some great wineries that most we fly by. Amazing scenery.

Have a coworker headed that way for a wedding on Wednesday. She attended Sonoma State (where I took a few classes while in high school) and says she is bringing us back a case of wine from her "secret special" winery.

Enjoy your trip!

Tracy, Great newsletter, really liked the section on travel, very good.

Also didn’t know I was supposed to get a photo op, well I will consult with Cub Reporter Peter, and I am sure with his help, it will happen, I think Tropical night would be the best. That would be September 20, the night we leave St Thomas.

Star Gazing will be held on the evening we are in the littlest Latitude. So that should be the night we leave St. Lucia, September 21. Meet on the port side forward, near the B-Ball court during the First Watch at 2 bells. If it is overcast we will try again the next evening, same location same time.

I really enjoyed the Korbel Tour. Yes you were pretty close, pretty country, must admit I hate driving the PCH.

It should be a nice little side show - thanks for stepping up! :thumbsup2 Oh yeah... we just settled on "special Trophies" for the top 3 racers in each group! And we have expanded the capacity for all competitors from 2 dozen to a few more additions! SO it should be just a little more fun! :thumbsup2

Sewing Fish Extenders and just trying to keep caught up for now. I have 15 more to sew and then I am DONE for this trip so will most more then. :cheer2:

Carol

Gosh...

... just got home from out road travel and had to say THANK YOU Carol for the beautiful fish extender. We got it a couple of days ago and my spouse was marveling at it - as humble asit may seem - she recognized the care and effort that went into making so many and distributing them!
THanks again - and we're now musing how to handle the "enhancements".

Now am I correct - that we're having a fish extender decorating contest? I recall reading something about our not having to be there when they are judged. Meaning - I guess - that a judging panel will go from cabin to cabin and gain access to descretely inspect them and render opinions? Or are we to bring our fish extenders at a certain time or day for judging in one spot?

Oh well - I just pulled in and am working my way backwards in search of my last posting. Seeing as it is after midnite and the next day - I'll count this as #1 for my daily count!
