Alex- It's awesome you are doing the Goofy. You are doing that with Linda right? Or is Linda just doing the half? I am doing the half again and my husband, Robb is doing the full. I walk the events- I am able to maintain a 15 minute pace consistently and am hoping to get some running in there, but my knee starts to act up. Race for the Taste- fun!

Scott- there is a walking division, the times you have to complete the race in is a 16 minute mile- so walking the half & full is possible. You & Lynn should come and do the half- they usually fill up late summer.

Jenn- Happy Birthday! :thumbsup2

Leslie- We'll see you at the water stops- let us know where you are!

From LAX right now, the best round trip I can find is coming in at $327 a person. So, this is a huge savings. I just put in a call to our agent to check it out.
Thanks for the tip Tony, but remember, Stephen and I leave CA on Sept. 9 to begin our trip. We already have our 1st class tickets from miles and we're not going to chance no getting an upgrade.....we're spoiled. This is our honeymoon afterall.

Thank you for the tip about the airfare with DCL. We called to find out more information - that fare is outstanding compared to the $360 we are looking at paying (x4).

The bad part for us is that they will only reserve your fare at this time. They will not know your airline or flight times until 30 days out. Was told most likely the flight would have 1 to 2 stops also. For us, it is worth a few extra dollars for a direct flight with young kiddies.

:lmao: Sorry, I meant a walker, as in one of those thingies you use to walk up and down the halls of the hospital with after surgery. Like crutches on steroids. :lmao:

But now that you mention it, if we are in Cheyenne and the airfares are much cheaper, well ya never know. Would love to do the ½.. We will see. Lynn, will be rolling her eyes thinking, now what is he getting us into. :rotfl2:

Elaine and Leslie, Crash Away. I think we might still get you guys onboard.

The flight deals are interesting, really gives me the feeling that this cruise is not selling all that well. KEWL, come on Tom Mc Alp upgrade me to the Walt or Roy Suite. :teeth: :teeth:

Sorry Scott. Word is the Walt and Roy are both booked. The suite Peter was talking about was a cat. 3. Anyhow, I asked Tom for the free upgrade and so far he hasn't come through :rotfl2:

Well, this is interesting. I dropped my travel agent a note last night asking about this, and he called back this morning with the details, and they aren't pretty.

Yes, the airfare is $199 a person. But (and it's a big But!), you have to also use Disney's transfers, and you have to pay for the one night in the hotel, the night before the cruise. So, how much does that add up to? $500 a person. So, they 'dropped' the airfare, but increased the hotel cost, such that two people would be paying $400 for the one night. :0

So, dispite the hype, it doesn't turn out so well, unfortunately.

Hey Scott, I resemble that remark about walkers. Picked up a new one this weekend with wheels on the front. Does a great job, thinking about putting some dukes of hazard horns on it to blow peoples doors off as I wheel by :rotfl2: :lmao:  Mike

Welcome home Mike! Take it easy with the horns around Kathy, you don't want her to stop taking care of you :lmao:

Mike, That would work for sure. LOL. Sounds like you are feeling pretty good.

Tracy, didn't Tom say anything to you about my upgrade. LOL between that and Tony's info you would think they, Disney, were trying to make a profit.

Mike, maybe a nice basket for the front ??? :lmao: :thumbsup2

Daughter is going to make me a pouch to hang on the front. Doing better today, although I did overdo it earlier and have been resting since.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes and we are looking forward to friends old and new on this cruise. Mike

Tony, is there a place on the roster for our honorary cruisers/live thread keepers? :flower3:

The Florida resident rates got me and a chance to spend some time with my only DD. I booked a stateroom for next week on the Wonder. We're leaving the guys at home and having some girl time. I'm really excited. :tigger: Surprised the girl too! :cloud9:

Awwwww...ya'll are sooo sweet!

Mike: The Fish Extender makes a handy dandy walker accessory... take it from me... I know from experience. ;)

Leslie the fish extenders are beautiful, I might have to worry about someone snatching it and leaving me in a crumpled heap. :lmao: Mike
