Opinions please taxi to port

We are in Southampton leaving tomorrow on the cruise
Staying at the Hilton double tree Southampton which is about 20 minutes from the port
The hotel booked a taxi for 1130 we have a 1230 arrival.
He said with traffic. I’m just afraid we’ll get there to early and have to sit just waiting
So I’m looking for opinions

Better to be too early than to be late and miss the boat!

12:30 would be prime boarding time in Florida. Not sure if Southampton would be similar.
