I figure for the lanyards - we'll try to deliver some at Fishlips the night before the cruise & at the terminal before boarding (those at WDW prior to the cruise can always get them from me earlier too)....for those not at either of those 2 get togethers - we'll go for the 3pm DIS meet & then finally to delivery in the FE's themselves.

That way we can figure out the DISers from the get go

I like the idea of unscheduled fish extenders. It is always so much fun to go back to the room with surprises at different times throughout the cruise. Also, while on a cruise I don't like to be on a schedule. Do whatever comes naturally.

Lanyard clearification.....

Just so you guys know you don't need to be participating in the FE gifts to get a lanyard - this is so that we DISers can figure out who the others are.

Most people who requested the lanyards are on the FE list but you don't need to be.....so....let me know if you do want a lanyard and you're not on the list below....

FE is suppose to be FUN!! I have done this many times.. It has always be a fun friendly exchange.. Very flexible.. You drop off gifts when you have a chance and No worries.. Who wants a schedule? We are on vacation!!!

We have done the FE 3 different ways so far.. Once we had so many people the list was split up and you had half the amount to gift..

1. you give 1 item per person including children to everyone on the list

2. you give 1 or 2 items per cabin

3. you gift just to the kids, unless like Us it is an adult only cabin, then you gift them

Any which way that is chosen would work for me

I've done some gifts that were one per stateroom (a big bag of movie munchies) and some that were just for kids (crayons, pencils, notebook, stickers) and one team event that went to every stateroom that had a DISer in it. I've also snuck a little something extra to my personal friends on the cruise too.

Do whatever works for you. Any little treat is fun to receive.

By looking at the list on page 1 - I am coming up with about 96 people that are participating in the FE. I'm not sure who the coordinator is for this group. Does anyone have a total # of people who have said they are participating? I want to finalize my gifts this week!

I'm not sure if any of you have read any trip reports by RV - Royal Viser I believe is his name... but this was written by him at the end of one of his trips reports... and it made me cry. I cannot wait to see just how much my brother responds to disney as he's already made a few comments to me teasing about leaving a note on his dry erase board... "and I could have been in Jackson Hole WY"... because that was where we were originally going to spend our Family Celebration... anyway - here is RV's words...




There is a Disney gene inside of all of us. True they come in all different sizes. Some are gargantuan while others are miniscule to downright microscopic. No matter its size, the Disney gene can not be located by any person of the medical profession, nor can it be located using scientific equipment. Microscopes can’t trace it. Computer models can not recreate its structure. A dose of medication can not fight against it. But one who has this gene, especially the larger scale ones, knows that it is there.

Upon delving into anything Disney, whether it is vacation planning, Disney shopping, listening to Disney music, looking through Disney photos, cruising on a Disney ship, or watching a Disney movie, the Disney gene begins to throb. Located near your heart, the Disney gene begins to vibrate and throb, fluttering against your heart creating immense feelings of joy, excitement, and happiness.

The gene feeds on Pixie Dust coursing through your veins. Everyone needs an injection of PD now and then, and I prefer my injection come in the form of a Disney cruise.

Thank you so much for hanging in with me for so long. I know that it took a long time, and for that I’m sorry. I never intend for these reports to take so long. Writing this account of my latest cruise was great fun for me. I love to re-live certain moments again, and remember what it was like as we glided across the ocean on the most Magical ship on the sea.

If you look down in my signature, you’ll see that we don’t have anything planned for the future. I might start a campaign to fill that empty space down there with ideas for my next family vacation. But in the mean time… I know that there are several readers leaving for Magic very soon, and to that I say….
