September 12, 2009 ~ Last Call for Tortola! Thread 3

:woohoo:

Can't we just meet in one of the bars and TAKE over the place??? :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl::dance3::yay:

hahaha....not sure Sassy would feel quite comfortable with that....considering her attire and all....you know, in mixed company. Maybe we should keep it private.:woohoo:

Thanks for the Champagne girls update. That sucks that we have to move it, and hopefully you will not have to miss your tea!

I made my FE this weekend. I still need to trim the dowel and add ribbon, but I actually sewed! Pictures and details are on my blog: http://kellyspages.typepad.com/papercrafting/

I am so excited! I have not started packing, but the girls clothes have been set aside so that they are not worn this week. I bought some lg ziplock baggies yesterday and I am going to start getting the girls clothes in baggies and labeled. Packing will probably begin this weekend after I am caught up on laundry.

I still need to finish my FE gifts for adults (I am done with half of them) and pick up something for the kids. We also need to borrow a suitcase from someone (SIL or my BFF probably) since I really do not want to buy another one that we will never use.

CHAMPAGNE GIRLS UPDATE.......

DCL does NOT have any space available for Sunday Sept 13th. They suggested Monday Sept 14th at 2:30 pm. I asked if there was anything else available on a sea day because I have a Palo High Tea on Monday at 3:00 pm with three other ladies. I'm waiting to hear back again.

If nothing else comes back as available then I will book Monday the 14th as a last resort only. I really don't want to give up my Tea, but I will if I have to. I could try to reschedule it, but I know that it's going to be near impossible. We'll see what they answer. I'll let you know.

Of course, if someone has a large cabin, in a category with a very small number, we could impose . . .

Does everybody know about the new kids sail free?

Jan-April dates for 3 and 4 day cruises

.

I noticed that last night in my header and wondered which kid and who would come with me as a roommate, hahahahah. Feeling like it would be fun to have a cruise in mind for Molly and I, but can't figure out what that would be yet.

:woohoo:
LOVE it and can't wait to check it out on the WB TA!!!!

YEAH - what SHE said !!!! You are in great company my friend , my lovely Aunt and my Momma were born on this great day as well!

Great minds think alike!

:rolleyes1I hate to say I told you so... but my Weather Angel has NEVER let me down - and since Jackie will be in WDW that week, I know she wouldn't let down her SPECIAL angel, Jackie was Mom's favorite... and Paul I think... her two "twins"

LUCKY YOU! I think....

Can't we just meet in one of the bars and TAKE over the place??? :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl::dance3::yay:

FISHLIPS DINNER.....

We are confirmed for 18 to meet for dinner at Fishlips at 6:30 pm on Friday Sept 11th. We will be sitting downstairs with a nice view....just ask for the DISers. I have requested one high chair, lots of crab legs and separate checks. If there are any other special requests, please let me know. Monica will be handing out our lanyards. YEAH!!!

Not to bring down the mood, but my DH John has asked if we could do a special toast to remember 911. I think it's important to never forget. I hope no one has any objections.

Can't wait and thanks for the linky, I saw my fish and chips and am wanting them NOW  Again, Paul and I were out on Sunday and drove by Race Street Fish Market, and figured we'd grab fish and chips on the way home, NOPE again, they were not open :sad2: There is no decent availble fish and chips in SAN JOSE

And for sure, we need a moment to remember 9/11. I am a tiny bit nervous about flying on this day, but I'm not going to be controlled by terrorists, for I feel if I was they would have won. Also, I hate to fly. It makes for a very stressful day before I leave :sad2: I'm feeling it a bit more now, as I really hate to fly alone. At least with a family member I can hold their hand, but I'm not sure a stranger would let me do that. But don't you worry I'll ask if they look nice

Marilyn,

Remind me to have a chat with you about what you might not want to share on a public forum.

Spill, no baiting me here, or I'll hound you for details on this later. That goes to both of you

OMG what a great craft room you have and a great craft person you are

On Friday I'll do my last WW weigh in before leaving for vacation. I'm not going to track or count points on vacation. I think it's good to take a break from the routine completely. However, by the time I hit my last weigh in I'll have lost 38-39 pounds total. I'm thinking beforehand, like WW is teaching me to do, and questioning how much weight I am willing to gain for a carefree vacation experience. I'm thinking ten max, five preferred. For that, I'm going to have to limit my unlimited portion of bacon all week. I will be way more active than at home, so I've got that going for me.

Ian, how does one stay on target while not tracking? Especially with tempting meals that I'm not eating at home either? What's your best advice?:confused3

Hey Deb - I really don't want you to have to cancel your tea! You might not be able to reschedule - this is my opion only and others can chime in - but seriously - other than champagne buckets what do we really NEED from DCL? If we go to a corner of one of the bigger bars - wouldn't that work? Sorry - just trying to help -

My interview with Disney went great. My interviewer really seemed to like all my answers and said I should hear back within 4-6 weeks. She also said definitely check your mail so I'm taking that as a good sign.:woohoo:

OMG, we're driving so I forgot all about everyone that's going to be flying on that day. Nan, you need to bring a soft cushy friend on board with you since you'll be flying alone. Really, it will help. Everyone, stay safe and be brave. I agree with you Nan, you can't let them see you sweat! If you stopped living, they would win. We can't do that.

It sure is a long job isn't it? Sounds like this part went well. Hope you hear sooner rather than later.

Oh that's so sweet of you to say Peg. You're so considerate. But really, I would rather miss tea than change the Champagne Girls. It's so much more than drinking champagne in a bar. It's more like a club exclusive to women. I've been to tea before and I'll do it again. The Champagne Girls are so much more fun! It's my choice. It's ok.

For Kathe, Vicki and Stacy....my Tea Mates....I'll keep the ressie and just try to reschedule. If I can't I'll keep it the same and any of you that want to go, can do so. I'll keep you informed as I find out. You can each make your own decisions as to which one you want to do.

Hey Seth, Congratulations! Sounds very good! Will you have to commute to Orlando? Continued Good Luck!

I may be visiting your hometown for a day after cruise. I have family there. We're staying in Orlando and would be driving down. Do you know how long it takes?

It's funny because we're seeing John's family while we're in Cocoa Beach before the cruise and my family while we're in Orlando after cruise. One is on the Atlantic side and the other on the Gulf.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WOODY

I hope you and Mrs. Woody enjoy a fantastic celebration! For a month at least!! Looking forward to helping you continue that celebration very soon. Cheers!!! :grouphug:

I would love to do a toast - I was on a plane heading to NYC that AM. We were the last plane to land in Pittsburgh just as the plane crashed right outside of Pittsburgh. Such a sad and traumatic day.

Actually when I start they provide housing for $77 a week.I think its an hour and a half drive but I'll check for sure when I go to WDW on the 11th.Oh yea and the Gulf beaches are much better:laughing:

PecoBill, you are sailing through the process. Way to go!

I went to REI today and had a blast. They have all the Eagle Creek packing cubes, folders, bags etc. I had fun color coordinating all of them. I was sad that I missed the free shipping but this made up for it by being able to see them before hand. Still can't get DH to understand the theory behind them.
