September 12, 2009 ~ Last Call for Tortola! Thread 3

Yeah! There is no way I am missing the game. Hopefully we will beat USC this year. I am originaly from Ohio.
I am going to take you are a Browns fan as well.

Yep! I'm sure we will be in Diversions for at least part of the games if they are on.

What part of Ohio are you from?

Any of you folks in a Cat 3? There is a cat ONE and TWO still available on our cruise. Let me know if I can stand behind you in the upgrade line (especially if you're vacating a mid-ship Cat 3)!!! :lmao:

.

We're in the other Cat. 2 and it would be nice if they magically upgrade us to that available Cat. 1, but I don't see that happening. I can't believe there's still a Cat. 1 & 2 available this close to the cruise.

A small town called Liberty Center is near Toledo.
I have family that live in Canal Fulton near Cleavland

For everyone arriving to WDW early you can always stop by the convention center at the Contemporary and ask for Scott. I will be working until the Thursday before we leave and I would love to see y'all.

Also has anyone kept up with who had ask about joining our FE group after the deadline. I know I have some extras and don't mind giving them out to new friends.

I have added the new people but Brooke still waiting for cabin #.

Ugh! Hopefully the forecast will change by then. My cousins went to WDW this past May and said it down poured so bad the entire time that they never even bothered going to the parks. They have been there over 60 times and that is the first time it was so bad. Harry and I have always had gorgeous weather on our trips. I hope we continue the trend!

It was so cold here yesterday and last night that the heat actually kicked on during the night. I did not appreciate this preview of winter. I was freezing all day. DD shaved Harry's head this weekend. He said his head was cold. He is always hot when I am cold. I must say that I was very pleasantly surprised that Harry looks good with no hair.:thumbsup2 DD actually liked it better and told him he should keep it that way even after chemo. She said he looks younger.

We were very lazy this weekend and now we are kicking ourselves for getting nothing accomplished. Oh well, both DGD's will be in school on Wednesday so I will have more time then.

Hope everyone is doing well and having fun making cruise preparations!

Donna

:thumbsup2 WAY TO GO HARRY!! I am not surprised that he looks great!
(want to share a photo?)

How is Harry feeling?

Looking forward to seeing you!

WOW!! Loved the video. I knew about the changes but the video made it seem more real.

Is it our time yet?????

This site is so slow it is like trudging through mollasses this evening.

:thumbsup2Ain't that the truth! I thought it was just me. It's driving me NUTS!

Marilyn, one doesn't trudge through molasses one perambulates.

per·am·bu·late

transitive verb perambulated -·lat′ed, perambulating -·lat′·ing

1.to walk through, over, around, etc., esp. in examining or inspecting
2.to walk around so as to officially inspect and maintain the boundary of (a forest, estate, etc.)
Etymology: < L perambulatus, pp. of perambulare < per, through (see per) + ambulare, to walk

intransitive verb:
to walk about; stroll

Usually, Ian, I defer to your judgment on things lexiconographic but this time I must dissent. I think, especially with the intransitive definition of STROLL, that Marilyn was more correct with her first use of the word TRUDGE as a description of getting through the molasses of the DIS.

respectfully,
jan

remember, we have a pack on this cat 3 jackie, I think we promised each other in blood or rum, not sure which :rotfl2:

The more the merrier regarding WOW (Walking on Water, Keeping Healthy at Sea for the uninitiated).

Regarding Shots Around the Ship, hey, it's your call when you throw in the towel and head back to the cabin.

Nan has been goading me into reaching the point where I do a chamber production of a musical.

If Nan is reading this, please take note - I drink Grey Goose or Kettle One straight up on the rocks. Thank you. I only very, very, very rarely drink, but when I do, I like to know that it's there.

::yes:: I understand SILLY GOOSE you drink Silly GOOSE ::yes::

Jan, Harry has good days and bad days. Mostly he is very tired. He gets his next chemo treatment on Friday. We are hoping he feels decent for our trip. WDW might be a bit rough but I don't mind taking it slow. I also don't mind going off by myself for a bit if he doesn't feel up to it. The cruise will be relaxing. He is just hoping that he won't lose his appetite and be able to indulge. So far his appetite is very good. I am hoping he can put on a few pounds in case he doesn't feel like eating as much as treatment goes on. Sorry, I don't have a scanner to post a picture and wouldn't know how if I did.:confused3 I'm sure Harry wouldn't want me to post a picture anyway. He is still adjusting to the loss of hair.

How is Tom doing? I am so glad that we get to cruise together again. Won't be long now.:woohoo:

Donna

It's a couple hours too early (in our time zone), but I just wanted to say:

:dance3::yay: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, WOODY! :yay::dance3:

...thought I might forget in my bleary eyed morning post....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WOODY

I can't believe you're not ona cruise celebrating!!!

Marilyn, one doesn't trudge through molasses one perambulates.

Perhaps! Though I think I would trudge if ever I happen to go through molasses!!

Jan,

I must protest, perambulate was what I sad, and perambulate was what I meant. I meant exactly stroll. Marilyn just doesn't know how to enjoy the relaxing squidge, squidge, squidge through mollasses. I shall have to take her under my wing and instruct her.

For instance, instead of complaining, she could have instead made prudent use of the time to crochet a festive tea cozy, while waiting for the screen to refresh.
