Do I get a vote on this?

Of course you do! (especially since you'll probably be the one making the ADRs)

Was there a resort restaurant on our list that might be better if the group grows bigger?

I'm in favor of Kona, but I have seen that they have very large tables at Boma, that could accommodate very large parties. Also, something to consider that Boma, aside from drinks would be fixe prix, so easy on the bill.

But, I think Kona would be an excellent choice, plus it would be easy access from VWL, which Boma would not.

Another possibility along the fixe prix line would be 1900 Park Fare, though again, ambience-wise, Kona would be a better choice.

Popping in to say "Hello" from Disneyland. Arrived a few hours ago and are getting an early night so that we can get to the park for opening tomorrow.

I hear its bad in WDW this week (like real bad!), I am hoping its not the same here!

Hope you are all having a 'MAGIC'al Easter weekend.

Boma is a good idea, especially for this fixed price and large tables. I have NO INTEREST in 1900 Park Fare. I've done dinner there (as has Dianne) and thought it was only OK (and kind of limited....especially when compared to Boma). Transportation is the issue with Boma....I'm betting a taxi (which I'd want to do at least on the way 'home') would be $20 for the AK to MK area. Anyone had recent taxi experience?

Well, we have till mid-June to decide, and by then we should know flight arrival times for Miss Di and a better idea of how many people would be dining. I'd kind of like to avoid too much transportation hassle if her flight arrives late in the afternoon...KWIM?

.

Well.... IF I'm on this cruise... I should have a car for conveyance... (I charge less than $20...)

No darling, I mean anyone who wants to join us...as long as the have the ISCJ seal of approval! :lmao:

:dance3: Do we have the ISCJ seal of approval? If so we're in!!!(Well I'm sure C will approve us, not sure about I though;))

Probably best to book for a larger group anyway as it would be easier to drop numbers than add them closer to the day. I think quite a few will be at the port so might have a meet there.

Kona or boma sounds good, but Boma is a much bigger place and as Ian said has a fixed price.

I hope you have a great day. I would love to go back as we really enjoyed it last May.

Are those of us staying out by the pier planning anything for dinner????? Deb??

NAN - I think I told you that I'm taking 1/2 the day off on the 11th, didn't I?

Monica....you packed yet for the Baltic?

.

Nope! I've been getting the non-clothes items together (now in a pile in the middle of my living room).....started to think about the clothes this weekend. I promise I won't wait until the 24th tho (that's the night I go to the Marriott at the airport).....for the PC cruise I packed the day of the Dismeets & our stay at the HY.

Did you do your taxes?

OK, so someone please tell me what we are going to do in the ports. By "us" I mean Sukie and I, because quite frankly right now I'm clueless, so I need someone to step in and take charge.

I'm doing either the SNUBA or the swim w/ sealions at Coral World if you'd like to join me for either :goodvibes I may also do the skyride thing so that I can try the Baileys Bushwaker drink at the top (someone may need to come w/ me to this one to make sure I make it back to the ship :rotfl:)

I don't know yet about Tortola.

::yes:: ya did ;) and I'd like to eat...hmmmm. Fish Lips is fish right???? I could set my taste buds there. Deb are you and John coming???

I could do this, but you wouldn't like my plan. It's to do nothing but bask on the beaches. I was thinking about it yesterday. The kids and I were watching a tv show that had beautiful clear water and I had to stop myself from saying that's what I was going to do on MY CRUISE :rotfl2: I think Molly is going to be really bummed when I leave, but Willie is fine cuz we have TA (less than a year away now :thumbsup2

I gave you a couple of links a couple of days ago. I thought the Banana Daiquiri might have been appealing at St Thomas.

We're doing the Skyride to Paradis Point.

Can't decide on the Tortola one. Perhaps a short island tour to get the flavour. I don't want a day long trip, not a beach day, nor snorkling, snuba, dolphin swims etc etc.

We also have the following week's excursions to look at too!!:headache:

Did you do your taxes?

Yes I did, and I'm getting back a bit more than expected....enough to pay for my DDP and Park Hopper! :thumbsup2

St Thomas....go to the top of the mountain and drink! BIL is signed on for a banana daquiri (or two)

Tortola...do the arts/craft tour where you get to throw a clay pot.

....there you go.....

:worship:Hello everyone! I know I haven't been around - and I apologize. First on my agenda - I'd like to say THANK YOU! To whom ever made my TIGGERSPAL sign for our Tortola cruise. I printed it today (shhhh don't tell my boss) and I laminated it! I'm also going to steal my very smart sister's trick and copy passport in color and laminate that for the excursions... :woohoo:

Second, I'd like to say I'm down 10.5lbs!!!!!! Yep four weeks into my "program" and I'd say I've got a hunkerin' to meet my goal this year. I have continued to hike at LEAST 2X a week and more often than not 3X! The "mountain" I hike is 2165 elevation but since we are at 1100 that's an increase of 1,065 feet in about 30 minutes! Yep, that's tough. But it's getting better with each pound I drop.

That's how I AM PREPARING for this trip. I've started making "lists" of what we need, my DH needs a nice pair of leather walking around town sandals, and I've found some he really likes. I went thru all the winter clothes and put them away and drug out all our summer clothes. Now all I have to do is get him to TRY THEM ON - so we know what new stuff he'll need. He's fighting me on a "carribean" or "hawaiian" type shirt to wear on excursions - but I know he's ok with Tommy Bahama, so it might be more "sublte" than I'd like! But hey, compromise right? I can't wait till this week is over and the last of my meetings is over so I can once again enjoy the DIS boards and getting to know the folks we'll be sailing/celebrating with.

Jackie and I shared lunch on Sunday and we got to talk about the "group" celebration lunch we will try and plan and I have to say - I am very excited to have my family and my extended DIS family all together... I'm verclemp.... must go back to work...

There are still NO excursions that we want to go on. Nothing. Nada. Zip.

I don't even know why we're on this cruise ... Oh, yes I do ... Jackie threatened me and I'm afraid of her.
I know what you mean...
Marilyn, I don't think I can get Dianne OR Peg on the skyride....but a trip up to Mountain Top for a Banana Daiquiri is a DEFINATE! :thumbsup2And I know Jose will go anywhere, anytime for anything that's got anything to do with BANANAs. :drinking1

,
Nope not me, I did the gandola ride in Telluride and I was on the floor the entire time, covering my ears and eyes because my DH was trying to scare me, which was NOT necessariy since I have a fear of heights...
I'd used a link someone on Cruise Critic had posted and when I looked for St Thomas....I couldn't find it. It was very strange, they had British Virgin Islands ports listed, but nothing for US Virgin Islands. :confused3 I'll do a google search, as I know there are several web-sites that list this (some more up to date than others).

Question of the day/week/however long it takes people to show up and answer:

Where will you be dining the night before the cruise?

I'm voting our group goes to: Kona Cafe in the Poly! :thumbsup2 We'll have some folks on the dining plan, and some folks without park tickets, so we need a resort restaurant. I've only been there for breakfast, and am very anxious to try it for dinner.

ok...back to another hour on the taxes before heading out to Easter lunch!

.
Yeah, sure be with them while the rest of your family will be in Cocoa Beach... see if I care... (KIDDING!!!!)

OK, I feel much better. Are any of these DCL excursions I need to book?
