September 12, 2009 ~ Last Call for Tortola! Thread 2

Hi there everyone!!

I've been very absent since I first got our names on the list for the cruise!!

My name is Nicole and I will be cruising with my wonderful husband and our son who will be 1 month shy of 5.

This will be our 5th cruise but first time to Tortola.

My parents and sister will also be on the cruise 2 rooms away from us. They've never been on a cruise before so it should be a great time showing them the ropes.

Can someone let me know when we can start booking Palo? We're DVC members and I honestly don't remember.

Thanks so much and I can't wait to feel the sand under my feet!!

Hi Nicole

As Castaway Club members, you can book at 90 days...IF you are paid in full. That's June 14th. If you are staying in a Cat 1-3 you can book at 105 days.

I'm also traveling with family...all four siblings are celebrating the "baby's" 50th birthday.

Woj...I won't be able to get my sisters in that either! Peg will probably be off doing some daring water adventure anyway.

.

Thank you!! I've marked that now!!

We're in room 8084 and my parents and sister are in 8088. I'm so excited for them to walk onboard!!!

Okay, I know I have been out of the loop a bit, but could someone please explain to me what the SAT's are? (Shots Around the Ship?) thanks!

One night (to be determined) we will attempt to hit every bar on the ship. The plan is one beverage per location...but it is not a requirement...nor does it need to be booze. The first time this was attempted we ran into some complications as all three of the adult lounges were packed because John Charles (:lovestruc ) was performing. This will most likely be scheduled the night before a sea day...in case sleeping in is required. :lmao:

I was actually thinking of this:

But will have to check out the Mountain Top website too!

Added to the St. Thomas list at the bottom of Post 1 page 1.

You now have an * in front of your listing on page 1 post 1 which means we know that you are still with us. HURRAH!! :sail:

Thanks for explaining this Jackie!

Keep the questions flowing folks. That is how we get acquainted and organized.

I think that will be where we will be heading.

Mountaintop will be a coach tour I think - not sure yet about that.

Hi there.

Don't forget....Cheri will do laundry for you! :goodvibes

.

Have you informed Cheri of this?

However, Woman Of The Desserts, you speak much wisdom.

I got confused between this and the Transatlantic trip. We will have fewer bags for this, because the cruise is only 7-days long. We will indeed have our well appointed villa with the washer and dryer for the week before.

It also depends on whether I work from home that day, or take it off altogether.

When is final payment due anyway?

It's A Stem to Stern Extravaganza! Or so they say.

Well, if you want to book at 90 days that would be by June 14th. DCL doesn't need your money till 6/29 (75 days).

.

Jan, thanks for updating my info on the first page :thumbsup2
Hi all! Way behind on this thread, but I'm still sailing with you all :boat:
Hoping to get reacquainted with everyone over the next few weeks. I'm so excited about this cruise! Air Canada had a seat sale for a price I couldn't resist(doesn't happen very often) so I have already booked my flights. I'm looking at excursions but haven't decided yet, except I'm pretty sure I want to visit the Baths in Tortola. It's just a decision between the two excursions that DCL offer.

Have a good weekend everyone. I'm to work this afternoon, then am hosting a small Oscar party tomorrow night!

I promised Kathe I would post a recent picture of Sophie :cutie: . I have this on Facebook but it would not post so I uploaded it to photobucket.

This was taken the day she turned 2 months old. She was on a blue blanket but I made it into clouds.
