Hello everyone - we have been kind of MIA for awhile. For some that we have cruised with in the past, you may remember that my father has Parkinson's and unfortunately his condition has declined. My parents have moved from SoCal into our home in Arizona and we have recently placed him in an assisted living home.

With that, we did cancel this cruise a few weeks ago - with a very heavy heart. We are extremely jealous of you all.

All is not lost - we moved this cruise to a dummy date next year. The girls will not be without their Disney fix as we are spending a week at WDW in July and then a week at Vero Beach in October.

Hopefully we will have an opportunity to join you on a trip in the future. We hope you all will have a wonderful time.

I'm sorry your father's condition has deteriorated and you have cancelled this cruise. Enjoy your trips to Disney and your later cruise.

We went on our first cruise in May 2009 and are thinking about going again with you guys in Sept. We have a Cat. 12 right now. How many people are in Cat. 12 rooms as of now?

We were booked for a Cat. 12 in May and got bumped up to a Cat. 9

Monica, I haven't responded about laynards as I was waiting to get ahold of big sister.

Peg, you might want to mention laynards to P&J in NC when you see them (TOMORROW!) as they won't have Castaway Cay ones and will need something.

I'm sure when Jan catches up she will add the link to the survey to page one.....

The entire group will want LANYARDS! But since I haven't checked up on all the posts - I'm sure you took care of this already!

Sometimes you just have to knock really hard on that door!

Cost for all 50 is $180 - so it comes out to be $3.60 per laynard....but with only 1/2 (rounding) being spoken for that's alot of $ going to waste.

Anyone have any ideas?

I will continue to check to see if anyone else will make some w/ less of a minimum quantity requirement & let you know.

I think we should start calling each other by our Star Wars names.

Ok kids, need you help. My sister has left me with this assignment while she's out of town. I have to pull up some WDW menues and sit down with my brother in law and get him to pick a couple places they might want to dine...I will need to FORCE him to do this. But I will prevail in convincing him that a couple of ADRs are a GOOD idea for their post cruise trip. So...I need suggestions. He likes ETHNIC foods and is very fond of calamari. They will be staying at Boardwalk Villas, so something in that area for arrival night is necessary, as well as other choices. I can give a couple high end suggestion (like Blue Zoo), but would want a few choices that aren't that pricy. HELP!

I know I will go with Boma and Jiko, for sure. Is Merekesh in Epcot any good? I know he won't want the Benehana style place in Japan.

I think I'll also mention to them about some good counter service in Epcot (I think they'll be spending a lot of time in Epcot btw).

Thanks again Jackie - I never would have been able to figure this out - not knowing the area and all the choices or able to answers his questions - based on his likes...

I hesitated to post this as I don't want to be a downer. DH had some scary test results this week and may be dealing with some serious health issues. A biopsy is being done on the swollen lymph nodes in his chest on Monday. A CAT scan also showed several masses.

Obviously DH's health takes priority. If we make this cruise it will be DCL #15 for us.

Needless to say, I am a wreck.

Now back to your regularly scheduled trip planning. Have fun!

I am so sorry to hear this - I will be praying for you and your family.

I've been meaning to ask, who is combining this cruise with a stay at WDW, and if so, are you doing it before or after the cruise?

We, for the first time, will be doing WDW before the cruise rather than after.

Jose and I will be staying at WDW AFTER the cruise - last time I did the WDW prior to the trip I hated getting off the ship and having to go HOME... I think this will work better for us... and I know Jose is looking forward to several things this trip!

Jackie, be careful what you wish for...I just might want to meet up with you in Cabo some day, but it will have to be after 2010 as my vacations are all planned until then

Kay, I second Jackie's LaNouba recommendation I've seen it twice and thoroughly enjoyed both experiences!

Jackie, your BIL is lucky to have the best planner around! You did good for him

NOT only is Jackie's BIL lucky - so is her SISTER!!!!
