We are getting close. My 7 week old slept from 9:30 pm to 5:00am does that constitute sleeping the night? I truly hope so.

That counts in my book!! Good for him. :cheer2: :cheer2:

And, you must be so refreshed this morning. I remember waking up the first couple of times my boys slept through the night, wondering what happened and rushing in to check on them. It was so long ago. :(

I have a fluff question for today.

What are your three favorite Disney films?

No way could I pick just one which is why I said three. Mine are:

Mary Poppins - my first Disney movie and the first LP I ever owned

Dumbo

Toy Story

Mary... I can't do just one either... in fact, I have to expand it further for me... ;)

My 3 favorite animated Disney films:
Sleeping Beauty (loved the message in this one... true love)
Pinnochio (loved the many lessons in this one)
Treasure Planet (loved the animation in this one)

My 3 favorite non-animated Disney Films
Mary Poppins (this was so magical + loved the music)
The Happiest Millionaire (loved the music... and John Davidson!)
Follow Me Boys (great story and setting)

oh gosh, I could keep going!!! :rotfl2:

Hey guys, we are doing well today to move toward at least 9000 posts. We have posted almost 200 messages today so far. If we keep up this pace, we might just make it to 10,000. :cool1:

Amy, I have finally taken the lead over you! It took me all this time to catch up/past you.

Catch me if you can. :rotfl2:

I'm just kidding and boosting the post count by 1 more! :teeth:

Aaaah Haaaaah! So that's why I'm having trouble catching up with the reading of this thread!!! :rotfl2:

Hi Everyone!

I've been trying to get so many things done around the house and have not been able to keep up with all of you - so many pages to catch up on every morning - it's getting to be nearly impossible for me to read them all! You have been so busy here - it will be like you all know each other by the time we meet up next weekend!

One of my biggest projects is that I have been busy around the house lately painting the kitchen and rehanging some of my Disney plates again - I'm happy to announce that the kitchen is finally done! I did something different - painted a pale blue ceiling in a mostly white kitchen just to see what it would look like and it's not bad! Topped it off with a ceiling molding and I'm happy with it - sure hope it's the last room I decide to change around here. Thank goodness my road trips are coming up so I can stop.

I'm so ready to relax and enjoy time with new friends and old friends and just kick back - it's been a whirlwind summer around here. See ya soon!

I now return you back to your regular program -

Mary your kitchen redecorating sounds great. That is one room that needs serious attention in our house. Just need to stop traveling so we have the time and money for it. :rotfl2:

I think you both need to set a goal to reach 1000 by cruise time. :teeth:

So, I am filling out my contact info on the DVC member site and I started to wonder.....

Do the really only want the info in case of itinerary changes? Just seemed weird that they ask for your phone # for the 3 days prior to the cruise. I am sure DCL has itinerary changes all the time, I have sailed 2 times with them, and have not had to give them my contact info.

I know DVC is not DCL, and they have chartered the ship, but it just makes me wonder if they really have other surprises in store! :sunny:

Marie - the simple fact is we are crusing during hurricane season. In the event of a storm and the need to change ports (like what happened last year) they need a way to get in touch with everyone.

I'm looking at is as Murphy's law. If they have it they won't need it. :sunny:

What are your three favorite Disney films?

1. Lilo & Stitch - when we were at MGM they were working on this movie so it was kind of like seeing it "behind" the scenes. Besides Stitch is so darn cute!

2. Lady and the Tramp

3. Mary Poppins

Another story here! :) When my oldest dd (21 soon to be 22, yikes!) was about 4, my husband took her to the movies. She came running in the house to tell me about the movie that her and daddy saw: "The Lady Is a Tramp". I don't think that's exactly what Disney had in mind but she sure was happy!

Georgie - Treasure Planet brings back Memories of the first Member Cruise. Mark and I stayed on the ship the first morning at CC to watch it. We really liked it as well. Afterwards we went on the island for some lunch and relaxation! Thanks for bringing back that great memory for me.

I'm sure someone has probably mentioned this but, I can't help but think about the following items

1. No. of mulit- Disney cruisers on this thread
2. The quick sell out of the DVC cruise
3. The newest timeshare wrinkle...cruise ships

Can't help but think that the sharp marketing minds at Disney haven't see this as a terrific option for a DVC offering. Sure beats CR for me.

Wonder how quickly a ship would sell out.

I'm with you Mary! No hurricanes for us... nosirree! :goodvibes

I was reading about the 14 day repro bringing the MAGIC back to Florida. Hurricane Hillary caused 30 foot waves and caused them to miss their first port of Cabo San Lucas. 20-30 foot waves... may be fun for a while just to say you've seen them, but I don't think I could handle them for too long!

I can't wait for the FUN AND SUN AND MAGICAL MEMORY TIMES! :sunny:

Georgie - yikes! Bet the Magic was rocking and rolling! Sorry to hear they had to miss a port. They are going someplace different if I recall correctly (read the thread yesterday so I'm not 100% certain where they are going).

Ok, my 3 are

1. The Little Mermaid - I've loved this movie from the very first time I watched it.
2. Pooh's Heffalump Movie - So adorable and it was the first big movie that we took Emily to, so I got to see it through her eyes.
3. The Lion King - Such an awesome story, and just as good as a Broadway show.

Julie Andrews would be an awesome guest!

We love Princess Diaries and Princess Diaries II. We saw the latter on our 10 day cruise.

YEAH! A TOP with Cindy and Julie Andrews!

Chris said that he would LOVE it if Julie Andrews was on our cruise. Mary Poppins is one of his favorite movies. He said that he thinks that he may still have the original album.

Oh don't get me wrong, I understand that completely! It is just hearing about all the neat "surprises' the 1st member cruise had, my spoiled little Disney brain is thinking they have something else up their sleeve!

LOL!

I know what you mean. When Emily slept through the night for the first time, Chris and I both woke up at the same time. We both asked each other if we had gotten up with her, and when we realized that she didn't wake up at 3am, I have never seen Chris move so fast. She was in a cradle at the end of our bed, so he jumped up to check on her. She woke up just a few minutes later, but it was a tad scary for just a few moments, until we realized that she had just slept through the night.

Huh? Guy in the suit? What do you mean?

Because if Chuck E. is a fake....then other mice might not be *real*

Say it isn't so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am still getting thru all of the posts, but this reminded me of a question my son had "ala Santa Claus", but re: Mickey.

DS, Liam, wondered how could Mickey be at WDW, MK etc and on the ship? I told him He took a helicopter back and forth to get to and from the ship. That seemed to work..

He also thought it was soo cool that Walt and Mickey together decided to make WDW, and that poor Walt passed away and Mickey had to finish the job without him! The things they think! ::MickeyMo

I'll keep reading!

Happy Anniverseray! to Lisa! :cool1:
