With a disname like CapnHook, you should WANT to dress up. Anyway, my DH, Chris, said that he will dress up. But, he is far from being shy in any way, shape or form. However, he did say that he is not wearing a big costume. He just wants to look like a swabbie, kinda just a pair of raggedy black pants, either a white or red/white striped pants, eye patch or hat. That kind of thing. He's not going all out wearing Capt Hook or anything. Go for it, it'll be fun!!!

No matter how many times John tries to tell anyone he is shy - don't believe him! He will try to pass off that he's shy, but there are many people on this cruise that already know him and think he's more like this :dancer:

Hey - maybe John should get the Captain Hook costume! Now that should be attention getting! Nah, I'll be nice to him and order him the pirate costume.

Note: if I can't find John - he must be on Deck 10 taking a romantic stroll with DEE VEE CEE and Mary! He won't take me - all my blink, stomp, blink, stomp will make him

Welcome aboard CapnHook - you shy - I'm not sure those words go together.

By the way Cap - have you seen my KTTW card???

I've been practicing with my blinkies but I thought it was stomp, stomp, blink, blink - no wonder they don't work quite right. :cool1:

I'm going out to hopefully find a shirt for John's pirate outfit - I picked up a hat, eye patch, and earring for him last week when I was at WDW.

This is going to be more fun then even I could imagine!

You know - I bet that is why John went up in the tower. It was to look for Mary's KTTW card! What a guy!

My ONLY choice for romantic strolls is #1Mouse  :love2: Besides, all that focusing on blink, stomp, blink, stomp someone could walk overboard. It's best I'm at her side for protection. :)

I have the black suite... now I just need a smiley/Wallmart mask and I'll be all set for deck parties! On second thought, all that latex may get a little warm. :crazy2:

It looks like a go on the pirate costume. I may not be very shy, but it's no fun playin' dressup by yourself. I better get to work on my swashbuckling accent. pirate:

I'm crushed

BTW - what is a black suite?

So is anyone NOT dressing up for pirate night now? I just don't have the creativity or room in our suitcases for pirate gear! But I don't want to be the only non-pirate! :guilty:

ETA--I know, I know, I should be at Office Max by now....I'm working on it!!

Awwww, come on Diana!! It'll be fun. Be a pirate!!

Diana - don't stress. Not everyone will dress up and dressing up means different things to different people. Some just wear pirate t-shirts or things like that. On our December cruise we wore tropical clothes (because it was tropical night before pirate night).

You'll be fine no matter what and you'll all get a pirate bandana at dinner to wear! So maybe if you have nothing else but have red/black in your wardrobe bring that and you'll match your bandana.

Absolutely. This only works for us as we already had the outfits we're wearing. They were for a local Renaissance Faire, so they are more intended for medeval more than pirate, but they'll work. No matter how you do it, you'll do fine.

Diana we are not dressing up either. I can't imagine taking all that stuff. Clothes for day, dinner and night. I am used to packing a few things and just washing them in our 1 bedroom at BCV. Now I have to bring my blinkies and my crocs and some kind of nicer shoe for dinner. That is more shoes than I would ever take to Disney. I better get out some extra luggage.

Ann Marie

The costumes we are getting shouldn't take that much room, since it's just the 2 of us we should be ok. Last cruise we used those space bags for our tee shirts and all of our dd's clothes. We got alot of clothes in the small suitcase.

I wouldn't worry about not dressing up. My guess is the majority don't dress up for Pirate night.

Mark, I like the picture of the Atlantis tower. This is a shot in the other direction and secondly the reason I went up there.

I couldn't find the blue binder with just mickey walking. My office max had a ton of folders yesterday afternoon, but few spiral notebooks. They had yellow binders like were posted earlier and greenish ones with mickey's head surrounded by question marks in bubbles. There was a blue one with a mickey logo of another type. If anyone needs binders or folders I can go back, but I can't promise anything on the notebooks. Just let me know and I will try to check my pm's at lunch and stop after work.

Rose

Thanks Rose for checking! It's quite possible the Office Max stores might get more in since they are so popular - :rotfl:

I spoke with a store mgr at Office Max last nite. He said that the Mickey stuff was for 'Back to School' and each store will only received one shipment. It could be a bunch of bull so I would just go away... maybe not. There is another store I'll be checking on the way home from work.

Most crafty type stores will have stuff that you can use for pirate night, and some already "made". I will admit that I'm just going to be wearing stuff from the stores at WDW - in fact... worst case...

You can buy stuff the night before the cruise at the meet (if you're going). In PI there's currently a... wait for it... Pirates of the Carribean store. I kid you not, Cheryl has to drag me out of there.

There's a Pirate store in PI? Where? We are still working on costumes. Not sure what we are doing yet. DH and my dad both have a pirate t-shirt that I was able to p/u in Vegas. Still working on all the girls in the group.

Its across from the missing link in the Paradise Island section.

Our party will be near there.

-Cheryl

That is very cool! Wonder if the prizes from the Scavenger Hunt in Downtown Disney will come from there. My guess is yes.

I don't think we need anything, but it doesn't hurt to look.

I was able to get out of work early because of the heat so I tried a different Office Max. I picked up two sets(binder, folder, notebook) in yellow. If anyone wants them please let me know. If not I can just return them but I figured I should pick them up while they were available. And we aren't dressing up for pirate night either. Too much stuff and I'm really trying to just bring one suitcase.

Rose

Rose - that is very sweet. Gail got me a set last night, but I'm sure with this group someone will want one. Thank you for thinking of your fellow cruisers!
