Question - I must have missed the post about fish extendors? what is it and where do I get one

I'm going to Office Max bright and early tomorrow morning! I went to the one in Rotterdam tonight and got one binder, there were 2 left, and one folder, there were 2 or 3 left. No notebooks. So, now I'm on a mission! We have a pool party to be to at noon. So I'm going to head out to CP to scope out your Office Max. If they don't have them, there's another one on Wolf Road. I need to make a trip to the Christmas Tree Shops anywon. Ut-oh, I think I just let everyone know about my severe shopping addiction!!

Fish extenders---Amy posted an ebay link this morning. That's where I got mine, or I should say Lisa got mine for me! :rotfl: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7702729085&category=37635&ssPageName=WDVW&rd=1 They come in a bunch of colors. We have given mrs.lips quite a bit of business!!

Yeah!!! I'm so glad that you found your blinkies too!!

And, a fish extender is a Mickey Mouse mail organizer in several colors (green, blue, pink or yellow) that can hang from your message fish outside your stateroom door. Several of us purchased them from mrs.lips on eBay. Here's a link to another one of her auctions. Several people are selling them, but mrs.lips seems to have a never-ending supply.

More blinkies!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you get a pair for your dad? :rotfl2:

Don't feel bad, I can be the same way. If someone's got something that I think is cool, I figure that I have to find a way to get it too!! Especially all these cool things for this cruise. I'm just having so much fun, but I'm going to need an extra suitcase for all this stuff. What a tough problem to have, huh?!?!?

At least you are driving!! Now that I found my bargain airfare, Thanks again Stitch#1!! I have to pack all this stuff and get it on a plane---with 2 kids, a double stroller and all their stuff!!! :faint:

I found the reason why we are having so much trouble finding folders/binders/notebooks at office max. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6196649729&category=363&rd=1

DH is reading over my shoulder about mrs.lips :rotfl: What do you think she's thinking with the sudden interest in fish extenders?? :rotfl2: She must think she is sitting on a gold mine!!

Ugh this and the fact the folders here are buy 2 get 1 free. I went to the office max on my way home and had the pick of the folders and notebooks but NO binders. Salesguy said they've had a run on them and 30 minutes before there were 5 or 6 of them. I am going to try some tomorrow if I have time - has anyone seen a blue binder with mickey walking to the right alone? That is what goes with my set :rolleyes1

I'll look when I go tomorrow. DH says that's one of the ones left at the OM I was at today. But if I see one tomorrow, I'll grab it. I'm in for a busy day, I need to get to bed!!

Yikes, she has the folder listed for $1.99 and $2.50 for S/H. The folder is only 69 cents in the store. She must have bought out the store. She has the spiral notebooks for $10 (store price $3.99). Oh well, somone will probably buy them from her.

Thanks Diana! I'll let you guys know what I find also. My store guy did say that he could try to order some but wouldn't be able to select colors.

I did see the Mickey stuff at the CP office Max on sunday. I don't know how much they had because I was there to get ink for the printer and some zipper binders for DS's pokeman cards and Disney pins.

I'm not sure if I am going to get a fish extender or not.

If anyone wants the fish extenders - even after the cruise, DisneyDirect has them for $1.25. They don't have any right now because the big sellers buy them all up at one time and put them on E-bay.

A fellow DIS'er on our Repo cruise found a couple of hundred of them at one store in her hometown and bought all of them up and gave them to us during the Repo cruise. We were a group of about 250 and we each gave gifts out to each other - had to have an empty suitcase to come home with. It was great fun.

I did call Mom & Dad while I was at the store looking at them.
They will be heading out tomorrow to possibly get a pair for Mom.
There is no way in H E double hockey sticks that Dad will wear blinkies. :rotfl2: :scared1:
He is nuts in all, in a very fun way but that is a bit over the edge for him.

Isn't it amazing what people will sell on eBay?!?! At least we know what they really cost. I'm not willing to pay that much for folders and notebooks.

It kind of bugs me in a way when people do that.
Its like they are self centered and just thinking about making a buck.

I understand that lots of people use eBay to make money. But, it's frustrating when you are trying to find something the "normal" way and you find that they've all been bought up and overpriced on eBay. Oh well!!

What an awesome sight. Sorry we couldn't be there in person. We were in Cocoa Beach 2 weeks ago for the one that was postponed. Had a great day at the beach, but would still like to see a lift-off in person.

Anyway, Bompy, I will try agaon to Pm you. I am in Rockland so Fairlawn is not far. We are close to Montvale, Northvale and Old Tappan.

When are you heading down?
Are you flying or driving?

Hey Noreen,

Actually I'm in "Fairview" which is central/eastern Bergen County. I worked at Fairview library for 5 years and when the interlibrary loan books would come in each morning, about 1/3 went back out the door headed to Fair Lawn. The problem was the same for them too. The "Fair" seems to throw people off. Actually the professor of the class I'm taking now keeps mentioning, "Stephanie, you're from Fairfield (which is actually in Essex County, NJ) right?" So this confusion is not uncommon. Just as a side note though...I did my student teaching in Fair Lawn. I really loved the town and the school system. It's really nothing like Fairview though. Unfortunately my town is much more urban since it's a spitting distance from NYC and public trans.

I am familiar w/ Rockland County too (that's quite a ways from Breezy - huh). My sister goes to Ramapo College which is right on the border there and Palisades Center Mall Rocks (when there's no bomb threats :scared1: )! I work at the Disney Store at Paramus Park Mall so I am familiar w/ many of the towns in upper Bergen county. DBF and I are actually looking for houses in that neck of the woods, but we're comtemplating the 30 minute or longer commute.

Sorry everyone else for my blabbering. I'll be back on topic asap... :wave2:

edited to add: I'm leaving Friday, September 2nd at roughly 8:00AM (Laguardia/American Airlines) - And you? Uh oh - another possible Dis Meet at the airport :bounce:

Hi Everyone! :wave2:

Just thought I would pop in and say hi to the group. I haven't been on in awhile, however I am somewhat up to speed - at least with a few running topics. There are times when my DW (#1Mouse) is laughing hysterically :rotfl2: and other times when she calls me to the computer to follow some particular topic.

My 2 cents.
-I WILL NOT be wearing blinking flip-flops.
-I'm soon to be the proud owner of our very own fish extender.
-We have our set of Binders and Folders.

Gail is trying to talk me into a Pirate costume. Being on the shy side, I'm worried that I may be too embarrassed to pull it off.
How many other men are dressing up for Pirate Night?
