Silly boy - I asked what is a black suite (which is what you typed). That guy is wearing a black suit! Get it?

LOVE the picture from Atlantis. The one of the resort - not the one of me running to find a hiding place from you. :)

In reference to the different costumes. I don't think I am going to get my DS in a pirate costume again, so we are compromising and he is going to wear an Oakland Raiders shirt with the Pirate/Linebacker logo.

That will work! BTW are you guys driving down or flying? We'll wave as we drive past on our way down. :)

Does DCL let people who are not informed by Mary as to what is going on, that there will be a Pirate night?

As far as dressing up pirate: -I will bring the things I hope the family get in the swing of things! I like the cut up t-shirt idea for the kids w/ a belt. Also, a few big round earrings and a hook might help w/ a bandana to top it off.

Bompy-I still haven't booked-but I am considering going down a little earlier-like 8/31. My mom is in West Palm Beach, so I may go there first for a few days w/ the kids. Probably fly out of JFK-JetBlue.

RE: Drinking on cruise-it seems that this group is pumped up enough! :cheer2: Adding alcohol might be a scary thought  -although I would like to try a Konk Kooler!

Can you tell-I love these smilies! :lovestruc

Oh well Nezy, guess we'll save the aiport Dis Meet for next time :) I love the smileys too.

Hi all,

I called DCL yesterday since my e-mail to them was never repsonded to regarding the switch from the "well-being" to the "spa-taster" as part of the REAS package, couples spa choice.

When I originally added REAS the literature said that you could choose between either of the above treatments and I intended on booking the later since we're doing the well-being on CC. Well, I was told that "spa-taster" is offered by the spa (even though I can't find an info about it on the DCL site) but not as an option for REAS. Now I'm annoyed!

The literature says you can book ahead of everyone else (granted I did get into the system and get what I wanted) but that option was taken away because it was a DVC chartered sailing....and now this option is removed too. Ugggggggggggggggggh.

The CM asked me if I read this on their site or another "non-affliated" site. I didn't admit that I did read it on many of those unoffical sites so maybe this is something generally unpubliched by DCL but is an available option? The CM basically said if I had the literature to prove it, which I don't, than I'd have a better argument. Once again I got a CM who sounded very unsure about the info he was providing. He really couldn't tell me much more than the above.

Lastly, I asked him since the spa offers it, and since it "maybe" is still an REAS option that I could work it out w/ the spa. His answer "oh...yeah...my manager did say that you could try that." Double ugghhh...he would've never offered that info if I didn't prompt him to.

Now, Mary I know you said you did the "Spa-Taster" as part of REAS in October...has anyone on here done it more recently than that?

I'm sorry I keep bringing this up - but I need to vent & share :headache:

I did the REAS package in May. I was not given the choice of the "Spa-Taster". But I'm sure you can do it and they charge you extra and still get charged for the "well-being" because it is part of the package. Know what you mean by venting and not getting a direct answer. It can be frustrating.

We were driving until Southwest offered the $39 each way special. So we are flying. We land somewhere around 11:30 am on Sat.

Be afraid. Be very afraid

I am also looking for some Spa information: I have asked someone on the 8/7 Wonder to stop at the Spa and ask your and mine question. ( I just chose the closest cruise to ours on the cruise meets list)

Hopefully we'll both get good answers!!

Cheryl

I can't leave you guys alone for a few hours without you filling up a couple of pages of posts! :faint:

My trip to Office Max was pretty much unsuccessful. They had a lot of yellow and green binders and folders, but only one notebook and it was green. So I have a totally mismatched set! I did get 3 more folders though, a yellow (I got a pink one last night) and 2 greens. Buy 2 get 1, I figured I may as well.

Stacey and Jeff--if you want binders and folders.....RUN to your Office Max
in the Crossing!!

Sorry to everyone who I was looking for stuff for.....I struck out. There is another OM but I won't be able to get there until Sunday.

That's almost EXACTLY what we were going to do. It's simple and easy and doesn't take a lot of effort. And, for women, you can do the same thing with a cheap black skirt.

Hmmm.....

I'll never get DH to go for pirate dress though!

Well, I wouldn't worry about it. We may not even be dressing up anyway. That's the night that we have Palo ressies, and if we can't switch it, then we're just going to have to skip pirate dress-up. Oh well.

What a great idea Cheryl...thank you. I got your PM too - thanks :flower:

I spent my entire afternoon being tortured by my ds. We have a deal... accomplish certain tasks, and he gets to pick an activity he wants to do (within reason). So today, he picks go see a movie. Which would be fine, since it was over 100, humid, and not a great day to be outdoors...except we've seen most of the movies that are age appropriate at our local theater.

I should have given in, chucked my morals, and taken my 10 y/o to see War of the Worlds. Instead, we went to see Shark Boy and Lava Girl in 3-D. Not even the cool 3-D glasses could make this movies tolerable. I'm talking Pokemon 3 the Movie bad. I'm talking thinking about the fact that I will never get that 90 minutes of my life back bad. Have I mentioned that the movie stunk???

So, when we're on the cruise ship, and you hear ds say that I never do anything for him, please just say two little words to him. SHARK BOY. :sad2:

Tomorrow we're going to the pool. Hopefully no one will bring an inflatable shark...
