Everyone: Ordered the stateroom decorations yesterday. My daughter will be very happy. I also called Shirley (the perfect gift) to order baskets for the kids. I didn't get an answer, but hope she"ll contact me soon! I hope it's not too late. Inspected my docs (AGAIN!!), I just realized we were upgraded to Cat 9. I booked GTY 12 back in Jan. I don't have a problem with Cat 12 or 11 but it's exciting to be upgraded. Anyone near us we're in stateroom 2144. By the way, TraceyP, I have a 4yr old who can't wait to make friends. This will be his first time being able to participate in the kids program. My son can act shy sometimes but that never last very long.

Hi! I have a bunch of silly questions. What color is the DIS color again? I was at Lowes (home depot?) and picked up the disney paint things and grabbed a bunch as I couldn't remember which is the "right" one.
Also, how are ya'll posting pictures under your signature and in the posts? I read the FAQ and click the link for add image and just some words come up (IMG). Still can't figure it out!!
Finally, I tried to look back in the posts and see when/where the DIS meet is. Can we get an update on that please?

Thanks for all the thoughts today!! You are all great. Cant wait to be on that boat in 2 weeks. DFIL is going to be in room 6120. He is very excited. Tried to order him a lime shirt from disney shopping to match ours, all sold out. So we will be the family of 6 in lime and 1 in white. But that is fine, we will all be together!!!! Will be a long week for all of us, but will start packing next weekend. Will try to keep updated this week, but lots going on betwen now and Thursday.

Oh, Kim, I'm so sorry. We are praying for you and your DH/DFIL and the entire family. Just because you know its coming, it sure as heck doesn't make it any easier.

I'm so thrilled your DFIL will be able to make the trip. Have the kids caught on yet?

Hi all-

It's been a long while since I have been here and feel like I need a refresher course! Actually, this is the first 7 day DCL cruise for us; we have only ever done the "land and sea" cruise on the Wonder. First time on the Magic for us.

Can someone please give me a 7-day cruise "101"? There's a formal night? oops, didn't know. I guess I just need to know the basic differences between the two sailings. Where do I find all of this info? Also, what is the DIS color thing about? I feel so lame and out of it!

David -Can you update my info on your rollcall sheet? We are Ryan, Cindy and kids, party of 4, late seating.

I can't wait to see (and meet) you all! Anyone going from my neck of the woods (AZ)?

On the formal, semi-formal, etc., if you go to Dining up near the top of this site and move down, you'll see the schedule (if it is right). I asked the same thing back a few pages ago. I finally set out on a search and found it on this site. I hope that will help.

Pirate's Night, I finally found eye patchs for the Disney males in my family (DH, DS4, DS10). Me, who knows what I'll wear.

I bought the shoe holders (over the door) for the cabin today. I also bought the underwater disposable camera. My DH gave me that look, like "what else can you possibly buy?" (ha). If anyone needs a kitchen sink, come to our cabin and I'm sure I'll have it.

Kim, our condolences on your DMIL's passing. I take comfort in that when we lost my DFIL to cancer just days after his first grandson's birth, he had willed himself to wait to hear. In spite of preparing yourself for what you know is inevitable, it still is quite hard when it happens. God bless ya'll.

Rellyrooly: Welcome Cindy and family, there are 2 of us Disboarders from Chandler. Jenschaef1 (myself and DH and 4 kids) and Lenzs4 (DW, DH and 2 kids - traveling with grandparents). Chandler Unified has off that week, so we usually take our big vacations then. - Of course if you are from Chandler too, you would already know that.

Boys still have no clue!!!!

They still think we are going to grannys for the week, and now pawpaw is going to. They want to see him in the bumper boats they are sure he wont be able to drive them. They believe bumper boats and mini golf is all they are doing that week.

You are all great and will see you all in 12 days.

Kim - I cannot believe you have kept it a secret for this long. I would've burst. They will be sooooooooo thrilled. Good luck to you. I know this week will be hell, hang in there!

I have started to iron (though I'll never know why - I'll just need to re-do it when I get there) and pack. Making the "last minute shopping list" as we speak. DD has an over the door "Barbie"/accessories holder if you can believe it and she doesn't use it anymore, so HA! all of you guys will have the lame $ store ones, and mine will be a Barbie fashionable pink one. Nanny nanny boo boo!

We had some nasty storms here last night. Straight line winds (or a Tornado - they don't know which yet) 7 miles down from me. Some poor 10-year old girl was killed. Her poor family. Some houses were demolished and some have no damage. I can never figure that one out. We didn't get any damage, but nasty hail and downpour of 3" in about 20 minutes. Winds were terrible! We are all fine, though. Pretty chilly today. 50's and windy. Fall has definitely arrived!

Better sign off and get to bed. Almost into single digits here, folks!
