Some excursion advice:

We have done 2 Westerns, which both went to Cozumel and Grand Cayman.

Grand Cayman, hands down, is my most favorite port, due largely in part to the "Island Tour with Stingrays" excursion. This excursion takes you on a minibus to "Hell, Grand Cayman", a rock formation where you can have a postcard postmarked from Hell. Then, you go to the Sea Turtle Farm for a tour and you can touch and hold some of the turtles. Finally, you end the day on a boat, traveling out to the Stingray Sandbar to swim with wild stingrays! It truly is a fantastic excursion! We've done it with our dds, when they were 7 & 10, and they loved it as well!

In Cozumel, we have struck out, excursion wise. I have gone (with a different cruise line, eek!!!) to the Mayan ruins, which was nice, but the ferry ride was BRUTAL...like 75% of the people are vomiting, ick. We've done a dolphin excursion at Dolphinaris (push, pull, & swim)...which was AMAZING, but the weather totally stunk, lol. And then there's Xplor park. Don't even get me started on how bad that place is run. For what you pay, I expected a very different excursion than what we got.

Since we haven't been to Costa Maya, I am looking forward to that one, even though its a short day.

We love Cozumel. We pay the cheap cab ride to mr Sanchos beach. Fun day. All inclusive. Very neat n clean. Gret food n drinks n includes free snorkeling and canoes!! Bathrooms were very clean! Nice pool with tables in it n swim up bar. Swings around lounge, netted beds for naps, hammocks. Can't say enough. There are several all inclusive beaches in Cozumel. Signs at taxi stand give prices each way so u don't get overcharged. Plenty of taxis at the resorts to get back to ship. You not need to pay Disney prices to spend a fabulous day at the beaches!!!

I just found out about this...This will be my second DCL cruise & our 5 year anniversary...our first cruise was our honeymoon...Can't wait!!!:tigger:

This will be our first cruise. We get to start booking excursions on July 15th. It doesn't look like we will have a full cruise so I am not to worried about doing the few things we want to do. I have been saving to do the royal sea package for my 5 year old. The other thing I want to be able to do is get my 22 month old in for at least two time spots in child care to give my husband and I some time alone.

this is our 3rd disney cruise...our first was to the bahamas thats when we got married...then we did the magic, and this one....when we did he magic my son was 11 months he had an amazing time...i'm sure you won't have any issues with getting your baby in the nursery for two time slots or more...we did at least an hour every day just so we could see the shows and have time for our selves it was great and he enjoyed being able to play and run around...this time he will be almost 4 so he will be in the kids club probably with your daughter....i want to do the pirates league for him on pirates night so i'm hoping i can get that :)

I was thinking of renting a Cabana but the cost is so much. I thought I saw someone looking to share. I would be willing to do so.

It's very unlikely you'll get one unless your concierge or your CC gold and can book at the 120 day mark. They go so fast! Good luck! Time on CC goes so fast, I can't justify spending that much money! I'd rather take a chair and sit in the water until lunch time. Walk around all the shops and get back onboard early to ride the aquaduck!

:cool1: I just took my mother and youngest daughter on the Dream for a short weekend cruise and ended up booking this one for Sept. Had a great time and the ship was wonderful. First time having a verandah and well worth it for future bookings. Leaving mom home for this trip but counting the days. This will be our 5th cruise. Will be heading out from central Florida so very close by the port about 2 hours away. Getting on and off the ship this last time was great - See you there. We ran the 5k on the island and ended up signing up for the tower of terror 10 mile run in Oct. I think we have lost our mindspixiedust:
