My dd..who will celebrate her 9th BD, has made a list a mile long for the FE gifts are we too put our name on them.
This is getting fun.

Also any ideas on making it a bit special on her day besides the dinner dessert they bring out from those of you who have done this before. We are bringing some gifts for her but it seems crazy to drag everything back and forth. I am excited for all the memories she will have about her 9th but thought you all could help DH and I out with your great ideas? We wanted to do the High Tea but understand thats for the adults only?

There is a package you can order for $59 called "A Celebration Just For You" which is a birthday pack and includes: a Disney plush; Mickey party hats; party horns; a Mickey and Minnie paddle set; and a birthday memory box. The order form is on the website in the planning center and will be in your stateroom waiting.

There is otherwise a basic package for $27 called "Happy Birthday Memory Box" and is a Disney decorated keepsake box, a Mickey bendable picture frame plus 4 birthday photo cards with envelopes for mailing. Last but not least there is "Happy Birthday" for $49 which includes: a celebration cake; a banner; a centerpiece; a cascade; and a door magnet.

Thanks so much for letting me know on that one. The alcohol I'm not so bothered about as I don't drink anyway so we were only looking at a small amount for my husband, but it's always good to be on top of policy changes.

ya i also dont drink. so i personally dont care too much...
i really hope that they dont mess rules tho so last minute, for us.. and i totally dont think they will take out small scissors. hmm might have to test that. cuz im sure we will need to cut stuff .

Katy stop freaking out. Everyone is going to love what they get. It's the surprise of looking in the FE every day not knowing if anything has been delivered or what it will be. Just imagine Madelyn's face. She's going to love it. As for uncreative doesn't matter. Take a trip to the dollar store. Target and JoAnns also have $ bins too and trust me, all of them, have vast quantities of Disney stuff. Party City is also a great place.

As for the time involved no need for the thanks. My husband will tell you that I can be OCD when it comes to organizing so I've loved this and have enjoyed the fact that it has allowed me to get to know everyone that much more and, as a newbie to Cruising/Disney Cruise by doing this I've learned so much more than I could have otherwise done.

Woo hoo we're now in the same month as our cruise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are driving in from the California Central Coast (just south of San Luis Obispo) the morning of the cruise, and will be spending two nights at Disneyland after the cruise!

I've had responses from 12 out of the 19 participants and everyone has said they are happy for you to join. Please could you confirm by the end of today, if possible, whether or not you wish to participate or not. If you do want to participate the information needed are:

cabin number/numbers (not sure if you are booked into a suite or 2 cabins etc)
Names of everyone
Already have ages of children if I remember correctly it is DS (1) and DD (4)
Are you celebrating any special occasions whilst on board.

I would like to add a FE rule:

If you upgrade your cabin at port (I know... I know.. you are all thinking that is going to be me because of my room switching "problem" but I promise we are staying as is!!! ) you are responsible for letting everyone know by slipping a piece of paper under the door of the other cabins or clipping a note to everyone's fish within the first couple days.

and sicne we're toting a bebe, i didnt prebook any excursions. SHould I, i know anythign good will sell out, or just wing it - i mainly would like to go to the beach at either stop. play. eat some food. nothing major..

LOL & my daughters fav thing to do is "go to target to get something from the dollar bin" LOVE that place!!!
