Ok, now I am worrying my formal isn't up to par. I don't have a fancy schmancy dress. Is everyone wearing a long dress? Like a formal gown? EEEEEK!

Nah, I was thinking of those lovely selections that have been posted on the board. I am wearing a long dress but ONLY because I had it in my closet already. Last year, I wore a knee length black dress which fit in just fine with what everyone else wore. You will see all different types of outfits. Just wear whatever you feel like wearing. Heck, you'll never see these people again!!! :rotfl:

Ok, THAT was a lame no hurricane dance. My icons aren't cooperating and it looks like others are having the same problem. It'll have to wait to later.

Jamie - I was hoping my son would outgrow it - but if yours is 9 and still causing you headaches I guess there's not much hope for me. This kid (my DS 5) is completely nuts. Socks must be inside/out. Shoes must be approved by him and he usually only makes the choice after I'm freakin out in the store. He's borderline OCD with the velcro and having to place it across JUST SO! Only likes CERTAIN bathings suits ... cuz 'their too tight' or 'their too big' Ugh! Drives me insanse. And (oh, it gets better...) after I've searched high and low for just the right pair of socks and he's 'approved' of them, he'll wear them for a few days, maybe even a few weeks if I'm lucky and then announces that 'they bother me' ALL OF A SUDDEN! Oh, yeah girl, I'm RIGHT there with ya! I get it and understand all too well. Gotta love em though... right? RIGHT? :teeth: (Seems a few icons are available - but still not enough for a proper dance!)

Christine

Julie,

Do mind if I join you for some shopping of those cute sandals at Kino Sandal? Do you think they will have something that will fit with my formal attire you so nicely designed for moi? :rotfl2:

I would love for you to join me! Now, please don't be sad when you can find sandals as gorgeous as your formal we picked out for you! It's just not possible. ;)

Yup, Elf. Sorry to tell you, girlfriend, that you are stuck with it for a few more years. Everything you've just explained, I've been living with for 9 years now. I can't tell you how many pairs of shoes he's loved in the store, wore a few times and then grew out of them and they looked in perfect condition. After this trip, I plan to put them on Ebay and try to pay off our Shutters bill!

On a similar note, how do you dress for semi-formal night?

I'm wearing the same black knee length dress that I wore last year for formal night (gotta make the pictures look a little different!) It has a semi-halter neckline and it's trimmed in satin so it can really be dressed up with the right jewelry/shoes. I'd say wear something just a little dressier than Sunday church and you'll be fine.

Jamie - now you've got me... cow tipping? Never heard of that one. I know you live in PA but where again? I'm in Bucks County area.

Julie - I'm not wearing a long gown. The only one I own was from a wedding and I wouldn't be caught dead in it. Now if all you gals want to be freaked out... know this... I haven't even decided what I'm wearing for formal night/s yet? How BAD is that?!? I lost weight a few years back so alot of my older stuff is too big, but then I gain a bit back over the last year so my new stuff is too tight! I'm at a loss. I need to be trying stuff on this week but I'm freakin cuz I might be doing some last minute panic stricken shopping this weekend! UGH! Moral of this story... at least you've got a dress!

We're in Lancaster County right near Chester Co. border. Many guys would go out into the farmfields at night and tip the sleeping cows over since they sleep standing up. I don't know...they're guys.

Good luck with your dress. Do you sew? Can you possibly alter one of the ones that are too big? Oh, to have THAT problem!!!!

Don't feel bad ladies---I haven't made any final decisions re: formal night, either...I can tell you that I won't be wearing a full-length gown. I will be wearing a nice skirt/top for both nights, I just don't know which ones....

sadly, I must go back to work now....

Hello again all...

Well, in the ongoing saga of "As The Passport Turns" we have just re-filed our applications. We were quite a sight as we all seemed to pull into the parking lot within 2 minutes of each other. :)

So now we get to do the "Get Our Passports In Time Dance..." :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

okay, okay... they're not really dancing... but they're about the only icons that are working right now! :teeth:

Double GASP.........

Cow tipping...hee hee!

FINALLY...I'm doing the Doc Dance and the icons aren't even working!!!

Oh well, at least I have my docs and the good news is that Erin does too (don't mean to steal your thunder Erin, but you got to tell everyone I am pregnant...:) But actually the other good news is that Briley's documents got sent to Erin's house even though she is registered in our state room. That is why we were so hoping they would come in before we saw each other this past weekend. I thought it was pretty cool of DCL to send them to her instead of me, and we didn't even ask them to.

Now, back to getting ready for Bunco. I have most of the cleaning done and most of the food is ready. Now I need to get the tables set up and I will be ready.

Hi All,

The t-shirt company called me this morning. No problem on changing the date but they are having second thoughts with the Mickey picture on the bottom front.

Would anybody like to select some text maybe? How about: Cruising with the Mouse?

Ideas?

Keri: What is Bunco night?

bun·co also bun·ko Informal.
n., pl. -cos also -kos.
A swindle in which an unsuspecting person is cheated; a confidence game.

tr.v., -coed also -koed, -co·ing -ko·ing, -cos -kos.
To swindle.

Any last minute shirt additions?

Back later...

David

Hi Jamie,

I've done cow tipping in college. My college girlfriend took me out one night in Bridgewater, lots of farmland and let's just say you better run fasssssstttttt. Those cows get mad!!! Not to mention what you might step into in the middle of the night. By the way it was her idea not mine, I was just an in her car minding my own business........

Okay what happened to the icons???????

Didi

I'll get back later dinner is almost ready.
