Sept 2009

We love this time frame because it isn't too crowded, the weather is warm and the dining is free! The bugs have never been a problem because the sites are well taken care of. We stay at Pop and it has been great. In fact even though the pools aren't heated, I'm surprised at how warm the water is. And with MNNSHP, it is a great time with the Epcot Food & Wine Festival. It rains some days but we haven't experienced the steady downpours that I've been reading online this week.:thumbsup2

We are also heading in September !!! 12 - 20th and staying at POR. Never stayed at this resort before but we are very excited.

Looks like there are lots of people headed in sept 09. For those of you who have gone in Sept's past - how was the weather.

We were there on Colombus Day wknd last year and it was still pretty hot !

Hiya Trekker93!
How warm is warm? Shorts & tank top? Does it cool off much at night? Trying to plan for MNSSHP. Walking in a hot costume would not be fun.
When DH :goodvibes and I went during Thanksgiving week a few years back, we had to head back to the resort for jeans/sweatshirts or buy them. (I'm bringing my stretchy knit gloves & hat, just in case!)

We went last Sept 20-30 & the weather was great. The days were warm but not too bad & the nights were cool but not too cool. I would bring a sweater/sweatshirt for night & plan on shorts during the day. I've been in May, Dec & Sept and Sept is the best, low crowds, MNSSHP & Food & Wine Fest. I love it!

Hurry!! June 1st.. I cant wait for sept hours to be released

Is June 1st when they will be released? I called yesterday and the CM I spoke too wasn't sure (she said call in a week or two)...I keep checking on their site in hopes I'll find them so I can plan my ADR's..here's hoping they come out sooner than later!!!!:thumbsup2

Five days until the Sept hours come out...

Ten days until I can make my ADRs...

And 100 days until my trip! :jumping1:

I stayed at POR Sep 12-20 2008 for my first stay onsite.
Loved it! I was on ground floor Magnolia Mansion. Only room request I made was for ground floor. Kinda was hoping for the Bayou instead of Mansions, just for the decor, but was quite pleased with what I had!
Will go there again, and only room request would be for an upper floor, so I could pull a chair outside in the evening.

The weather was amazing. Apparently there was rain one evening while I was at Epcot: I was watching the lightning play in the clouds, I visited Dame Judy's voice in the Spaceship Earth, and when I came out the ground was all wet.
I didn't wear my sweater at all, and wished that I had brought no dark coloured clothes. It was hot hot hot. I couldn't imagine going in August! (but I'm from east coast of Newfoundland (island), and while we do have hot weater sometimes, it's never that consistant, and always cools down in the evening.)

The lovebugs weren't a nuisance, but I stayed an extra week after, off site, and at the end, there were lots more.

I've stayed at POFQ twice and went over to visit PORS each time. The grounds a re gorgeous and of the 2 resorts, PORS has a better themed pool. You'll also have a table service resturant. POFQ offers horse & buggy rides.

Have a greta time!

Thank you for the reassuring info on the weather everyone!

We are headed to Disney 9/26-10/4. We are staying at the WL 9/26-9/27 and the BC 9/28-10/4. I cannot wait until the Sept hours come out so I can start to plan what we are doing to do and where to book ADR's!

It is our first time staying at the WL and BC, and we are excited!

We stayed last year in September (the 2nd to last week),at the CBR pre-remodel and we liked it enough, but the air condition wall unit noise drove me up a wall.

We booked Septemeber again since we will not have to use the unofficial touring guide. last year we made it to the parks at open and overall the crowd levels were low in Sept, but it was not a ghost town. So Sept works for us!

If I recall, it rained a little each day, but nothing that stopped us from touring.

We have stayed at the Dolphin, CR, Pop, SOG, BWI, and CSR. I love to stay at the different resorts and my wish is to be able to stay at each of them at least once.

We cannot wait for our trip, yeah!

We stay at Pop and it has been great. In fact even though the pools aren't heated, I'm surprised at how warm the water is.
Actually, all the pools at Disney are heated to, I believe, 80 degrees.

We've switched some stuff around...

September 13 - September 19, 2009 at Caribbean Beach Resort!

Can't wait!

I called in to work sick today (I am sick) and spent most of my time on the boards. I can't wait to be back with the Mouse!

I am anxiously awaiting Septembers hours to post so I can figure out our plan of attack.....11 more days until I can make ADR's!!!! Wish Disney would put the hours out soon!!!!!!:cool1:

Just joining the fun. We will be at POFQ August 30-September 4! It's getting so close:banana: The only frustrating part is not knowing the park hours when I had to make my ADR's but I already vented about that on another thread:laughing:

We are so looking forward to our first stay at POFQ and our first trip to Disney with out extended family!!!!

Can I update my listing, please? With a 40% off PIN, I've upgraded my hotel.

Now it's AKL, Sept. 9-15.

Thanks! So excited!

I think Ive posted already but if not we are going From Sept. 14th-21st.

If anyone will be around this week we are planning on doing Jelly Rolls on Friday The 18th and would love to get a meet up going!

Please remove us from the list. We had to cancel our trip. :sad2:

We were at the CSR September 20 - 29.
