Sept 2009

For many of us, being at Disney world is a greta experience and we go the whole route by decorating our room's window for the time of year. This past vacation we were down at Pop and our window not only had stickies for Halloween but also lights run on batteries. I was wondering if anyone else does this for Halloween at WDW.:surfweb:

We stayed over at POP during the end of Sept for 10 days and they weren't that bad. There were times that they were flying all over but the parks were fine. As I saw on another person's board, only while we were wating for a bus at Pop did they swarm onto the benches. for those of you who come from the Northeast, the lovebugs are nothing coming to the little black flies we get inthe Spring - they get all over you - up your nose, etc. Ugh! pirate:

I will be going down for my first Sept trip on the 20th until the 27th. The past few years we've gone the beginning of Dec, but........last year just seemed SO crowded! Not to mention it was so chilly! All the times we've been we've never seen the Halloween decorations! And it's my mothers favorite holiday! So, off we go! Just me and my mother! Our husbands don't want to go, one of my kids will be in college and one doesn't want to get stuck with her mother and grandmother. Imagine that! :lmao:

We'll (hopefully if our jobs hold) be at POP in Sept on a bounceback. We'll arrive on 9/26 and leave 10/4. I'm sooooo looking forward to it b/c we were supposed to go in June and had to cancel.

We just booked our Grand Gathering for Sept. 22 - 30th, staying at the POP and going to 2 MNSSHP, had a blast at the party last year that we want to go to 2 this year. Celebrating 3 birthday's including mine, can"t wait.

September '09!!! We'll be there from 9-19 to 9-27.

We went in September '08, did the Land and Sea, and had a blast at MNSSHP. My job status has been 'iffy' at best (don't shoot me - but I'm in banking) so I was holding off committing to '09 but I finally did today! I'm so excited. We will do a 4 day cruise and then 3 nights at AKL (not long enough but can't keep granddaughter out of school longer). We did Polynesian last year and loved, loved, loved it. But we want to try something different (I hope it's the right choice).

Can't wait.

Barbara

You're going to absolutely love the Poly Barbara!

We're going on our first cruise in September--hope I love it as much as I love all my trips to Disney! :)

6 months!!
That's 180 days! Inside the old timeframe for ADRs!
Woo hoo! Getting closer!

but, no, I'm not excited. no, no not at all:cheer2: :cheer2:

Loving the Disboards, especially the Trip Reports! Some are so hilarious! There are so many people here who are great writers! I've read more Disboards TRs this winter than I have books (and I read a lot!)
:dance3:

How does everyone put a counter on there trip time ( like 180 days 6minutes 10 seconds ) ? Is it easy ? Does it auto count for you or must you update ?

This will take you to the web site where you can make your own ! Have fun!!!:thumbsup2

I read where there was a fire at POP this year - does anyone know what building it was in? My understanding is that it was a fire caused by a careless tripper smoking in bed. Did they get fined for this?

Anyway, we'll be making our 4th straight trip to Pop this fall and will be enjoying the Dining plan due to our bounce back last year. We went to MNNSP twice last year and had a great time. We dressed for it (pirate and tinkerbell) but it was hot at night both times. The tar streets hold the heat. However, going on rides was great - virtually no waiting - we did Pirates of the C. 4 times one night and Splash 3 times - a great way to cool off!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

What cruise are you taking? I've only done the Disney cruises and I love them as much as Disney itself.

I have not posted here for a while, planning has come to a standstill for now, I need park hours etc to go further. I have been reviewing touring plans from last trip to remember what I want to do different this trip. I think that I will start DS autograph book, I will post a link to the one I saw here on the Dis that I am going to try. WHat are you all up to in terms of planning?

I am there a bit in August but mostly in Sept!

Aug 30-Sept 4 SSR (Waitlisted for a THV!) Sept 4-6 BLT.

I cannot wait for this trip as we are going with my bro's family and it's their first ever WDW trip and second only trip to Disney having been to DL a few years ago.

Well, we have a trip (next week actually) prior to September, and we're trying a few new places for dining so after we get back I'll have a better idea of where we want to make ADR's for. The only one I know I want is the CRT. At first I just wanted it for my granddaughter - now I just WANT it because I haven't been able to get it!

I won't plan park days until I have ADR's (does that seem backward?).

I hear ya!
I am really yearning to do some planning, but without park hours and ADRs not available until 90 days, there's just not that much to do!
As a major planner - I really miss that 180-day ADR window.:sad1:

So in lieu of planning, I just read the DIS all day!:rotfl:
