Sept. 2009 @ WDW! Be a Pop Tart 2009~come share your(Bounce Back or NOT)Dates !!!

Diva K, I do surely hope that the seven amigos have their papers in order so that the show can go on. (hoping that does not offend as I am trying to be funny) On second thought it is not all that funny in so many ways. sigh

Wish I could not see both sides, or even more, of everything. Simple minded is easier??? Not that any of you would know though.

Have finished my yardwork for the day and went into my closet to find something nice to wear for tomorrow and got down a smaller size and was able to fit into it. Means it is time to clean my closets. It is a chore that I greatly enjoy though.

Diva K, never fear I did not suddenly get a life. :lmao: I belong to TOPS, Take Off Pounds Sensibly, and I am driving some friends to Indy tomorrow for an area meet. I do not generally do such things but these ladies could not drive themselves and they are wonderful folks. Also it is a place that is familiar to me so I am not scared to drive there. I just told dh, if I had told him before he might well have had 'something' happen or caused it to and I would not have gotten to go. He seldom moves from the kitchen and his TV on Saturdays except to go to the bathroom and I fixed him roast chicken and sides that he can pop into the microwave so he will probably survive until I return. :woohoo:

I am only down to a size 20 but from a 32/34 that is not too bad. Another 20 or so and I might be able to buy clothes on the same side of the store as the rest of you skinny um beeUtiful women.:lmao:

He also does not know that we are booked into DW in Nov/Dec. That way if I should fall ill it will not be disappointing nor nearly as loud. :rolleyes1

Jealous huh?

SG

SG, hope you had a great time today. So wonderful about the new size.

And love your "seven amigos getting their paperwork together" comment. Too funny.

I guess as well as expected. They had a hard time finding a vein because she was so thin and dehydrated. Probably should have done this last weekend, but with Kara here we just couldn't do it. Constanze got sick last year when Kara was here and she spent a whole day at the vet getting a sonogram performed.

Jacob has been upset off and on, keeps walking over and hugging Bubblegum. We will be a one dog family from now on, or at least until after Bubblegum.

Thank you for thinking of us.

Melissa,
I am so sorry about Costanza. Al bought me my first puppy on our honeymoon. She had a hereditary disc problem that came out when she was only 2 years old and she lost function in her back legs. Sadly it was unoperable and I had to make the same choice you did since she was in a lot of pain.

Costanza was as lucky to have you for a mommy as you were to have her all those years.

Thanks Ang. I've lost many dogs in my life, but Mozart and Constanze were my first dogs being an adult. Mozart came to our lives when we thought Jonas was going to Italy for three months after we had only been married for three months. When he first told me he was leaving, I said I wanted to go home (we were in Montgomery, AL at the time), then I said we are getting a dog. So, we ended up with Mozart and Jonas ended up not going overseas.

We got Constanze because we noticed Mozart didn't seem to move at all during the day when we were gone, thought he needed a friend. They were good pair.

First time in 15 years we haven't had a dog to sleep in the bed with us. Bubblegum sleeps with Jacob.

So, enough about that. What has everyone been up to this weekend? Getting ready for....SCHOOL!!! I hate to think of that.

I may be headed back to TX for a weekend, an old friend is getting married. I am waiting to see how Jacob does in school before making any plans because I don't think I can do it without at least taking him out of school early. Jonas will be overseas, so I have no choice, have to take the kiddo.

Have a good day everyone!

When I am reflecting up life and its choices I have come to understand, far too late, how very important it is to pick the right partner in life and how very much more important it is for some to do so. Soldiers, male or female, NEED to have that strong and reliable anchor at home to do what they do and Jonas is so lucky to have found such a partner. Being able to do your job while knowing that all is taken care of on the home front and that it will all be there for when you return home has to be the most precious and wonderful thing in the world.

Melissa, how old were you when you guys got married? I am thinking that you were not that old as you are so young now. I cannot imagine how it must have been to think that you would be separated so shortly afterward and know what you needed for yourself at such a time is an awesome thing.

Constanze left this life surrounded by love and that is all any of us can ask for.

You are such a wise woman Linda. So true about love being all any of us can ask for.

I was 25 when I got married, 26 just a few days later. So, not that young. And I have always had dogs in my life, actually had a Boston Terrier in my life since I was 8. Got my dog, Boots, then and after her, we had two of her pups and some of their pups. Jonas also had Boston Terriers around while growing up, so that is what we got. So, guess it wasn't too difficult to figure out what we needed. I just think they are the best dogs in the whole world. :ssst:, don't tell Bubblegum that I said that.:)

Melissa, if I have any wisdom it is because I gained it the hard way, through many mistakes.

You look far too young for what age you have to be. See what going to Disney so often does for one? :lmao:

My dear Chris, I am always overwhelmed by the kind and wonderful things folks do for each other on the DIS but you are most recent blessing.

Remember the site you sent me about the gang activity where my dd and family were going? I had quite a problem as I know, from past experience, that my 'advice' is discounted and most unwelcome and I do refrain from offering much if any as much as possible. I thunk it over greatly and even said a small prayer for guidance and decided that I could not live with myself if I did not say something and something happened. I sent the site you sent me and waited for the fallout and while I did not get the expected screamfest that I had anticipated I was informed that plans would go apace.

Last night, late I got a call from dsil who informed me that they had moved from said area. The explanation was that it turned out to be too far away from the attraction they wanted to visit and I am content as long as they are moved and hopefully to a safer area.

Thank you so very much as I truly feel that the link was the evidence that made the change.

Love, Slightly Goofy for your 'plenty' ninth BD

You this is not going to end well don't cha???

Thanks for the birthday wishes. Didn't have such a great day, but I'm still kicking. Jacob took me to Cracker Barrel..ok I told him we were going, and I paid, but at least he went. Then therapy, where I tried to clean all the emails out of my phone since I didn't do it while Kara was around. 531 just FB updates.:scared1:

Then to Best Buy to drop my camera off to be cleaned. Had no idea this would take an hour, just to drop it off. It isn't good when the line for the Geek squad has chairs. 4 people were sitting down when I walked up, with 2 others standing. I thought, are those sitting in line? Next person goes to the window, and all those people sitting played musical chairs moving one closer. Hopefully I will have my camera back soon, they said that since I purchased the premium plan, not only is the cleaning free, but it "should" be overnighted to the facility and given priority treatment in line. I guess that was my Best Buy B-Day gift.

Then on to Home Depot where I needed a few things and lawnscaping bricks. It starts raining just am I am heading to the bricks, which aren't covered. So, Jacob and I spend another hour in HD. He didnt' mind, he sat on the cart and played DS.

Then Target, which wasn't bad. Got home about 7:00pm and Jonas went and got me some Buffalo Wild Wings.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

Linda, so glad your daughter changed hotels. It's really not safe anywhere, but it is always good to put the percentages in your favor.:goodvibes

Melissa, I can we can only tell ourselves that in truth, most birthdays are pretty mundane...but wish this one had been better for you. At least no catastrophes!!

How'd I ever miss such a wonderful title sending much needed blessings!!:flower3:
Linda, my friend, find me one of us that does not hop to help the other, especially in this little group! I am delighted the link was just the tkt to get your sil to make the move - closer is a good enough reason for us! :thumbsup2

Melissa, you should have scheduled better and either did all that darned work before or waited until after your BD and then it would have been a bit better.

Bet the thing that would have made it perfect is if Jonas had been here. I say celebrate again when he is. Yep, that is the answer.

Christine, what is going on with you? Any news? I keep wondering but do not want to bug you. Please do not be shy, we all care ya know?:flower3:

But as Jonas would say, "I had a plan." I wasn't getting dressed on Tuesday (not saying I walk around nude :rotfl:), but due to Jacob's therapy appt I had to be out of the house Monday. Just wish my birthday hadn't fallen on Monday.:)

Hope you are all having a good week!
