My dear M&N, if Miss Ang goes through NC on her way to DW she will be even more lost than I am capable of. She was probably within 15 miles of me at some point today though. Wonder if Will would have made her stop for me if I had been at one of the exits?

I always forget that one does not go through NC to FL from Chicagoland. Call it wishful thinking, I guess. Makes me feel less isolated and in the loop. Me thinks you should have been standing along the route suitcase in hand - there would have been some mighty happy dancing goin' on. Dang, if I thought it would work, I'd stand out there with my grip (remember that term, SG? ) when you drive to WDW the end of Nov. Maybe I could be the entertainment for Tom.

We have fridge swaps and such so I think we should set up a system of safe houses so that DISers could spend a night at other DISers places on their way down and back. It would save us all enough money that we could spend a few extra days at that Magical Place.

"The current AP holders got "share the magic" cards to give to others to save 10% off APs! It's not good on renewals, but it is good for Annual Passes, Premium Annual Passes, Florida Resident Passes (not seasonal though) & even the DVC already discounted APs!! Each discount card is good for up to 6 APs. It's such a good deal! PLUS, to thank the current AP holders, anyone who uses one of their discount cards, they get $25 Disney Gift Card. Everyone wins!!

The only "catch" is that the discount card expires on July 31st & the AP has to be purchased at Disney World...not online & it's not good for an AP voucher to activate later. It's activated the day it's purchased.''

Does me no good as there is no way I could be in WDW before July 31. 10% is not all that great, but the $25 Disney Gift Card is nice for the current AP holder.

Just called them at noon and they are just getting in Atlanta,Ga!!! Sounds like a busy road, had to hang up... they checked out of their room around 10AM. Will sound good and still upbeat!

I agree for the swap houses.. the problem is everytime somebody stops by.. just like Chrissy said.. I might have my back pack ready to go too by the time they get up and swish out!!

you would thinki alot would be jumping on this opportunity... there are so many Disers opering their pass along card including myself and nope not alot of takers... plus you have to time it when you are going there so thats the rough part... well back to your regular programing...

M&N, ask my friend Lucy and she will tell you that I am fully capable of talking and driving AND could even chew gum if I liked gum! Driving has its advantages as does flying. I am a control freak so I like to drive. I know I am sober and have had a good night's sleep and since I am in charge of the auto maintenance I am comforted by knowing my equipment is sound even if my mind is not.

Timmie, what is Ang thinking??? Going into Atlanta (8 lanes of traffic each way) at the height of rush hour is not something I would ever do. I would stop for a rest/lunch and wait a bit at least. I time each major obstacle (Louisville, Nashville and Atlanta very carefully to avoid as much pain as possible) I will keep my fingers crossed for her. It should take her about a half hour to get through UNLESS there is an accident that keeps everyone gridlocked. That happens often and for lengthy amounts of time. I knew I should have given her more advice. I am sure she would have taken it too! Once you are past Atlanta it is a breeze, as long as you remember to take the Macon bypass. It is a split instead of an off ramp. Please pass that on to her if it is not too late. This is not the first time she has driven down to DW is it?

I doubt that any dedicated DISer would demure at you hitching a ride, especially after a free night's rest and a wonderful breakfast that you would serve before leaving and more especially if you chip in for gas.

I remember one year when they gave 10% off AP's if you had another AP holder with you so I bought one and then took Tom to get his at the Ocala stop. I am betting they will have better offers later on. Many folks book trips with wishful thinking and when it gets close to time they cancel when reality bites. They might publish how many bookings they have but probably would not let us know how many are canceled.

If I am able to go it will be the slowest trip I have ever made. Last trip I divided each park into sections and did a section each day with several days of not going to the parks at all. I am able to do most of what I have always been able to do but it takes me soooooo much longer. Old age and decrepitude suck.

I was trying to figure out the same thing, is the room for Timmy or Ang and Will?

We use to always get stuck in Atlanta traffic. Use to live in Montgomery, AL and would drive to NC and no matter how we planned it, we would get stuck in traffic.

By the way, if anyone needs one of those AP discount cards, I have some.

The PTA threw a carnival at the school today for the kids, so I spent 3 1/2 hours watching kids slide down an inflatable slide. I had fun watching them, but it was hot. I ended up sleeping while Jacob was at therapy and then came home and took an hour nap.

That darned rash (from my shoes ans heat in Charleston) still has not gone away - 2 weeks now...it's like hives and itchy...nothing contagious -still in the exact same area...even clear where the band aid was that day. Guess I'll have to go to the Dr for a steroid...which is what has happened before, but it's been years and years. I've triad everything else...benadryl, cortisone cream, calendula cream, cold compresses..geesh!

Ang N Will finally got in @ Marriott last night after being on hold for 2 hours with Disney and about another hour with Expedia. Both Mother and son are now fully recup and had checked out at the Marriott and at Walmart shopping and getting ready to check in at POFQ...

my own assumption: she have ran out of minutes so it is easy to reach her by text messages...

Hey everyone sorry if it seems I disappeared ... Took some time to relax and now I am in full Disney Organization Mode been using TourGuideMIKE and I like it.

We just found out that our little brother (15) will be out of school for Fall Break while we are at WDW so we are gonna haul him along. He's never been so I think he'll be shocked. He's never EVER been on a roller coaster!

So hoping even as a teen he'll like it! I loved it at his age but guess we will see!

I hope to see Ang and Will this weekend. I was thinking of going to SWW tomorrow night, but DH emailed me and it looks like he is going to have to work on Saturday night, so it would be better that Jacob and I go on Saturday so DH can sleep. Plus, that way we don't have to worry about getting back to let the dogs out. I always think of poor Bubblegum sitting in her cage with her legs crossed. I know, not really funny, poor girl.

It's just been busy as heck around here, compounded by the fact that we switched internet/cable providers (saved about $35 a month, have many more channels and will get a $100 gift card , but it took a while to get everything set up) and the computer seems to be dying (won't always start up, so I'm trying to stay away from it (if you're a thread killer, I'm a gadget killer!) in the hopes that it can limp along for a little while longer).

Glad you and Ang and Will were able to hook up, and to everyone else--sorry for not replying personally. Only 3 more weeks of school--hooray!

Ang, you suffer from the same affliction as I. You leave early just in case and then get there early and have to settle for something besides a Disney room. I have found it cheaper to go ahead and leave on time and have always arrived, albeit late at night a couple of times, as I can usually get a good deal on a room at Disney and if, perchance, I do not make it the first night it is only one night. Once you get past the FL line rooms become expensive and it goes against the grain for me to pay Disney prices for a room with no access to the parks. I am glad you finally got settled in and plan to text you when I get a moment to breathe. I have company. ya!

TB, it is ever so much fun playing cable roulette. Not! I hope you get your services up and running correctly. They expect payment on time but are not so very good at delivering services. As more options come on line things will improve and I hope it happens soon!

JM, details, please details!!!! Pictures would be great also. You are so lucky. I am a tad bit jealous.

Lisa, how wonderful to be able to take your brother for his first trip. May he be crowded onto a Disney bus filled with cheerleaders and you can be assured it will be a trip he will long remember and treasure.

M&N, I have never had a key come loose so I have no idea what it might look like. As much as I adore you I am not willing to disconnect one of my keys to find out either. If I replace my desktop with a laptop I plan to get an usb keyboard to prevent such a calamity. I am truly sorry for your problem and impressed with how you are handling it. I have had many folks offer their discount card to me but cannot use it because of the timing either. Timing is everything. Maybe something better will come along though? Have you tried soaking your feet in tea? My son used to have to do that and it couldn't hurt to try it. Makes your footsies smell good too! Not that YOUR feet stink or anything.

My bil threw out his back on the day they left to come here so he has been having a pretty miserable time of it. He is sitting in my red chair resting now as my sister and I do the duelling computer thing. Sitting a mere foot apart we exchange emails. Mom would be so proud.

See you when they go home Wednesday. I will be running out of homemade strawberry pie about then. They eat it every meal.

I'm currently going nuts. So DSD had the ok to fly down here and everything for our July trip, well, now she has planned something in NC on the 18th, we were leaving for WDW on the 17th. Now she wants to come July 9th and leave on the 17th. I just asked if she would like to go to WDW and we could get there on an earlier day, or we could go to those other parks in Orlando and she wants to go to the other parks. Now got to get all that booked. Will still be at WDW for the 17th because we are meeting the BFF and her family. But DH is worried he won't be able to be off all that time because he also has a convention he was going to take off for the following Friday. He is not too happy right now. Have I confused everyone? All this for vacation.

Ms. Linda I never used up any minutes of Ang... we have the same carrier we can talk till the phone give up and it is still included in the plan ... talked to her today... POP Check in was rough she waited and waited and waited... and misses the boat at FQ going to DTD and back to the resort... after check in both Mom and Sun went to Wishes... she did mention that MK is till 2AM dont know though if they are staying that long.. they also had experience rain and 91 degree weather...
