Double posting yet again, but I think there are a few of you not on facebook and Timmy posted the funniest thing earlier. She was waiting in line and heard the following comment:

Almost bought a little boy @EPCOT a new t-shirt b/c his parents had the nerve (or no clue!) to send him to a Disney park in a SCOOBY DO shirt! :headache:

OMG!!! That is hysterical!!! Would make me cringe.

M&N, your pin code would cover our trip!! We're going during free dining though and you can't combine offers. DD & I now have APs but BFF Kandi will be getting tickets. We're under the 90 day mark so I did make a few reservations this week.

It certainly does and I'd love that!!! Alas, baby Sophia's 1st birthday is September 2nd...and you know I can't miss that!

See the gods are against me and this pin code!! :rotfl::confused3

if you miss poly you can always get someone to go with you and split the cost and it would be much more affordable!! give me a call I need a vacationa away from here!! LOL

Now that's an offer I may not be able to resist - except I think Poly would be more than I can afford even shared....

I'm telling y'all this is impossible!!:headache:

How sad is this: have a pin code and haven't even called to see what's available? Come on, everybody, cry with me.

Uh oh, I better check Jacob's t-shirts. He actually only has one Disney shirt. He only likes Bakugon (which I guess that would be ok since they sell that stuff in Japan) and Transformer t-shirts. Of course Star Wars, but I know those are Disney friendly.

After all this rambling and drama, I just went to look at the email to be sure I didn't accidentally delete it and guess what - it's not in my name!!!!!!

:faint: :headache: :sad2:  ...sigh....

So, they have to in your name? Didn't realize that.

By the way, don't know if this will help anyone, but they are offering 15% of the photopass products and you can include it in the pre-order CD. Just got mine for $89. Also, the CD goes up in price 6/16.

Now I have to go get lots of pics.

That's what I understand - it was from the passholder site, where I was registered for the years I had an AP - I just figured it came to me because i had an ap for a few years and was registered on the site...but when I looked this morning I noticed someone else's name (which means the pin code number would come up in their name), so I assume if I call they will ask for my current AP number, but don't have one right now. Decided not to renew last year and was going to decide - then I figured with this email, would go to guest Services when i arrived and upgrade the 4 days I have to an AP.

I didn't call - since I wouldn't go alone why bother and it's worse to get rejected twice. :sad2:

OMG I had to laugh my BUTT off at this.... We always go to the Disney Store that's about hr & 1/2 away before we go to Disney and get us all at least 3 to 4 Disney T-shirts I also make my own Disney Family T-Shirts so that we all match for one or 2 days. The only other shirts we wear are our Dance Studio shirts (they grab the attention of cast memebers and get out DD some neat things.... EX: Last year at the Nemo show Aspen got a "Fishy Kiss" from Nemo and Dora at the end of the Nemo Show at AK) But we never wear Characters other than Disney!

People should always review a Disney character List prior to packing characrter shirts .... LMAO:lmao::lmao::lmao:

what's a crying shame is that I have never recv'd a code at all :sad1:

It is so hard to decide which is sadder, computers on the blink, not getting to meet Ang and Will, being too sick to go to DW, getting codes in someone else's name and all. What a sad group you have been in my absence. I had best get you all back in line and quick. :grouphug:

Please pardon the lack of personal messages. My mind is all in a whirl with all the catching up and my memory is not what it used to be and it was not all that good back in the day either.:rotfl:

I had the 40% code from the spring so I am set on that. Am wondering if you can still book in toward the end of the deal for 14 days and get the rate for the whole time period? I am thinking not but I hope I am wrong. Not that I am thinking I am going to get to go, or might want to with my circumstances, but a gal has to dream and I am not quite ready to give up on it. BTW, the code was in my sisters name and they let me use it. The first time that has ever happened. What can they say? :confused3 I think they are so desperate for bookings that they are not going to let the small stuff stop them.

Hooray for Jacob for graduating! :yay: I know one of mine did cause his name is on the 9 week honor roll as well as the semester one. Have not heard about the other one and that is always up in the air. He turns 18 in July and will be a Junior next year. Worry, worry.

My company picked up after themselves and since they are on the same diet as me feeding them was very easy. Diet food does not take my preparation. They ate lightly while I ate my regular including my famous diet pizza, huge and loaded, the day before weigh in. They lost 1.5#'s for the week and I managed a 3.75# loss. I am back into new pounds, if I can hold this loss and not gain next week etc. My bil's back went out the day they left and he was in terrible pain the entire visit. It was very noticeable how he still managed to do for himself and offer to do for me while my dh did his usual routine, ignoring the visitors once he realized that no fancy cooking was going to be had. Poor baby.

I shall go to sleep tonight thinking of Ang, Will and Timmie being on the balcony, so close to one of my favorite places, Jellyrolls. I wish I had been there to babysit so that Timmie and Ang could have went out to paint the town red. That would be a TR worth reading! Maybe they were able to get out a bit since Will is old enough to be by himself a bit in that area. IF he had his video game and a good TV show.:happytv:

SG, glad you survived having company and lost weight.:woohoo:

We met Timmy, Cheryl, and her husband, Todd. I had a great time, and I hope they did also. We met up at DHS which I had to return a t-shirt to Wickett's Warehouse. The t-shirts were on sale this week. Took a while for the exchange to take place because the CM thought at first it was charging me more and then we realized it was offering a credit.

Then headed over to Turf Club. Love the resort and of course dingy me got lost. I'm use to other resorts that the restaurant is there near the lobby, so I kept following the signs for "Check-In". The food was fantastic. Everyone had hamburgers except us. Jonas had the prime rib, I had the tuna and Jacob had mac & cheese against his will. I do want to go back for that burger, they looked great. Oh, Cheryl had her special request meal from the Chef. I wanted her green beans. My boys don't eat them, so I hardly ever have them unless we go out to eat. That is wonderful that Disney works with people that well.

After dinner, which we were there almost two hours, we went to Epcot for some desserts from France and had a drink. Chery and Todd left before Illuminations so they could get their furrbaby. I got to see a picture and she is a cutie. We watched Illuminations and then headed out with the other thousands of people. Jonas overheard someone walking in saying "Can't believe I am spending the night in the park." And he was carrying a pillow. Don't know what that was about.

Jacob finally opened up to Will and I think they seemed to start having fun together. Oh, and it was so funny because when we hoped on the tram at DHS to the parking lot, I sat down and hear someone say, "Melissa?" It was Timmy. And because of Timmy I met a couple of other Dis'ers.

Hope everyone else is doing well!

JM, what a wonderful day you had and it was so nice of you to share it with me, just me, no one elee. Right???:rotfl:

I am so bad with my memory that I cannot often recognize folks I have even met, let alone only know from the boards. I am not surprised that you ran into Timmie but I am shocked that you only met a FEW fellow DISers while in her company. I think she knows everyone!

Ang called me from the Flame Tree yesterday and it was so wonderful to hear from her. I do not like to expect folks to do such cause if she calls every single person on the boards that she knows she would have little time for actually vacationing and they surely do deserve a nice vacation. Sounded like they were having a very relaxed and fun time. She and I and Will shared a day at AK last year and it will always be one of my fondest Disney memories.

Ang says that she notices a definite downscaling on the food. She got a burger at Le Cellier on an English Muffin rather than a bun. Sounds better to me but at those prices a croissant would be better. She will be hauling back copious bags full of snacks as they are accumulating a surplus of snack credits.

I have been playing with my new toy today. I bought a cordless weedwhacker/edger and my grandson helped me put it together. Not lack of skill but of motor functions. :goodvibes I have little strength in my arms anymore. I used to lift weights so it is especially appalling. I can no longer carry food and drinks for two at DW either. With a cane that has always been difficult though. It worked so wonderfully in my small but labor intensive yard. No more bending and weeding so much and then tossing my cookies for hours afterward. Life is good.:)

You do know that they sell single serve things of green beans nowadays as well as those fabulous steam in the bag veggies? I love green beans too, broccoli, not so much, unless it is raw. You could also come and pick some from my backyard soon. :woohoo:

I am a tad bit jealous over all the meetings you had and plan to do a bit of surfing the web and looking at homes in the Ocala area for when I reach my final reward before the big Reward. :rotfl: Any tips for safe places for poor, elderly folks who want to live near enough to visit DW often but not necessarily in high crime/expense areas? Sounds as if you met a lot of new friends and will be meeting again in the future.

Will is a tad bit slow to make friends and it sounds as if Jacob is too. I think that is a good thing. I always fear for those outgoing kids who never met a stranger. Stuff happens and I like kids to be careful who they make friends with. Might help when they start dating etc also. Did you take pictures?

Thunderstorms coming in so the bushes will not get trimmed today. I have a new address book to fill out. Can listen to old movies while I work. Sounds like a plan.

SG

I know what you mean about recognizing people. I was really worried when meeting Ang and Will because I had never seen a picture of them. Timmy I recognized. Being back in Texas I would see people and recognize them, but I couldn't remember where I knew them from. I'm usually shy until I get to know someone, so I never go up to people and ask them ,"where do I know you from?"

What type of trimmer did you buy? I just purchased a cordless Toro. We bought a new Black & Decker electric when we moved in and it has broke. Where it rotates to change from edger to trimmer has broke and now it won't lock as a trimmer. So, I bought this one since it didn't change. We have a separate edger. The DH probably won't like it.

I wonder where everyone else is?

JM, I have always been shy although not many people nowadays would know it. :rotfl: Some folk (me) talk too much to cover up being shy and having been raised to never look anyone in the face it is really hard for me to remember people. I remember their stories though and then I can match them up. Hard though when you see folk out of the context in which you are used to seeing them. Also, I am often the speaker and talk to large groups and since I am a bit of a character (hey, no one that has actually met me is here right now to say I am more than a bit) they remember me and I cannot remember them.

I am sorry to hear that you had problems with the B&D trimmer. I hope my model has been improved but now I will not turn the head for the edger as the trimmer works just fine on the bit I have to do. It did my entire yard, lots of edges, on just one battery.

It sounds as if you have all the responsibilities of running the home like I do. If it were not for folks like us our families could not do what they do IMO.

Ballgame, just heard a bit ago, in a bit. Had the most delightful surprise as several of my readers talked one of their teachers into bringing them over to visit me. One girl brought me cards from herself and her sister as well as a gift card. I will use it to buy more books, naturally. What really touched my heart were the detailed pictures the girls drew of myself and them. They got my curly hair right down to the last twirl. I sent them all back loaded down with old toys I was going to get rid of an invitation to come back for cookies and movies, with some advance notice. Gotta love those kids!

SG

What a wonderful surprise. I know I have said this before but you remind me so much of my Grandma. She taught piano and her students would always bring her artwork and even after being grown would come see her. It's wonderful when you are able to touch children's hearts that way.

Ha Ha Timmy....:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl: Guess what I am doing tonight, working on my plans! Have to call on Thursday for ADR's. Don't give up on me yet! :woohoo:

ok gang I need some serious help if you please.

I read somewhere about getting a 10% discount on a new passholders card if you are a passholder and you get a 25dollar gift card. Can someone point me in the right direction for this because apparently no one at Disney seems to know anything about it.
