Just popping in quickly to say "Good Morning"! :wave2:

I have my meeting with unemployment in a little while, so I can start college classes. :thumbsup2

SG, Shawn and I were actually discussing getting Kellie some sort of "charge card" so she can see her remaining balance with the $50 we give her. The quicker she learns about the value of a buck the better!

Have a good day!

So first off we are going back to ASM in Sept but I just talk to my mom whose
Vacation is linked to mine the system cancelled her and now shes fighting with the CSR to get her reservation back they even paid it off already so shes more upset they lost her payment too ....:scared: Great way to start huh

Hello Everyone. I hope your Thursday was a good one.

Kristin,
Glad you got home safe.

Lisa,
There was another family on the Dis that I read about the last couple weeks who's reservation got cancelled by Disney without their knowledge. She found out when the amount they paid was credited back to their credit card. By that time the resort was full and the first person they talked at the reservation center told them too bad so sad. They asked to speak to guest relations and they told her it was her fault and that she must have cancelled it and was now having second thoughts. She hung up, called back asked for guest relations again and got a great person on the phone who said they could see where someone at Disney accidentally cancelled it and they made good on it.

I am sure it will all work out for your DM. Tell her not to give up but ask for guest relations and then if they don't help ask for a supervisor. Let us know how things work out.

Ang

Actually it was not to bad as it could have been after the intial shock. They fixed it and even upgraded her and my family of 3 to Deluxe dining for free for the inconvience. Disney know customer service (when you get the right CM)
:thumbsup2

let the planning begin!!!

Glad you finally found a comfy chair... and whenever you feel like dusting the mantle ( I dont think TiggerD will :lmao: thanks alot Ang!!!) dont let anybody stop you!!!

I can see how other will be :snooty: it's a human nature... "what makes her so special" attitude... which is why the boards is great.. if you dont want to be bothered with the :snooty:ness there's always another thread to go to or better yet you start your own thread... like at the adult threads... a few of the OP have a disclaimer on the 1st page...

so hopefully we continue on making you feel comfy so you can share some of your tricks in planning your WDW trip...:rolleyes1

Good Friday Morning, Everyone!!

Made a decision last night - if I do go WDW alone for a few days of R&R think I will try to rent points for BWV. Would be comfortable there and have a balcony - where I'd probably spend a good deal of time since I don't do attractions alone.;)

Rec'vd an email from David DVC Rental and SSR has points for $8 a point through some dates in October - but it is so isolated over there.

I was at POP for 2 ngts alone last August, due to the hurricane - with all the families, felt even more alone (I know, I'm a wimp). Have stayed at POP 5 times (out of almost 50 trips to WDW), always had a great stay (except once when the strangest group of parents seemed to be around - all using foul language, screaming at their little ones:eek:).

Anyway - just wondering if anyone has done a solo and stayed at an EPCOT resort? Of course, I've stayed at BC and Dolphin with family and BWV with friends, but never alone.

Anyone else who would be hesitant to do a solo trip to WDW?

Thanks, my friends! :flower3:

Hey there Lisa! I am so glad that things worked out for you. It pays to be persistent and pleasant. Enjoy!

M&N, I would love to rent points and even know folks who rent theirs out but since the cancellation is much different from booking a regular room I have been hesitant. BTW, if you go to DW with someone you can still be lonely. There is a vast difference between being lonely and being alone. If you plan a trip just make sure to either start or find a thread where folks post if they are going at the same time and make plans to have lunch or a small meet with some of the folks. You will surely meet someone you are compatible with. I do wish you had a local friend you could take with you. I wish I could be there too. :thumbsup2

Ants, I am with you. No fuss, no muss and definitely no drama. Folk can agree to disagree. Personally, I only associate with folks who totally agree with me and do things my way. :rotfl:

Headed to take Tom for his CT scan today. It is a routine to check for progression with his aneurysm. Hopefully everything will be the same but as bad as this year has been so far I am a bit scared. Not telling him that though. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers today. Thank you.

I want to try to go Solo, but I'm a big chicken. I'd be happy to drive over, have dinner or do some attractions with you. I'm always looking for reasons to go to WDW!

SG, hope the appointment goes well. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

Just waiting on some rain here. Need it so bad. Thinking about heading over to Epcot after Jacob gets out of school. It's an EMH night, but we don't plan on staying too late. Jacob will want to ride, M:S, but other than that just plan on walking around. Hope everyone has a great day and wonderful weekend!

Yes,the cancellation policy is the only thing that holds me back. In October 2005 we rented points for BWV for March 2006, knowing it would be something very unexpected to keep us from going. But the way things are today, it would not be such a sure thing.

We think alike about the difference between alone and lonely. :)

So glad I'm not alone in feeling this way!! (no pun intended!:rotfl:) I'll be sure to let you know if I do go down alone - would be fun to meet up! :thumbsup2

had done BWV a couple of times Solo... but I am exception to the rule... so my response to you abou this is irrelevant... scary part is when I am doing solo.. I even get myself laughing at me for things I have done or doing :ssst: so the lonely part is out of the question... it happens when I am asleep

Bless your heart, Timmy!!!! I will laugh out loud to myself as well ....but not in my sleep!!! :rotfl:

Good afternoon!!!

Linda,
You and Tom are in my thoughts and prayers. May this be the end of that bad streak you talked about. Let us know how things go.

M&N,
I would go to WDW alone and enjoy myself but that is just me and we are all different. As my son says I will talk to anyone and have met some really nice people and families standing in lines. I would do like Linda said and like Timmy does and go to the singles or trip planning thread on here and join a group of others during my trip.

If you are going when I am in June or Oct 2-12 you are welcome to hang with us. You could call us at any time to see where we are and we could meet up. This way you get alone time and social time whenever you want it. One word of warning is that once my DS meets you he will be looking for you and if he sees you he will run and just stand next to you and say nothing till you notice him. Last year he played where's Linda and would find her in the parks and she would turn to find him standing next to her. It left her wondering when he would show up next to her even after she got home. lol

Lisa,
I am so happy to hear they fixed everything and even gave you deluxe dining. That is awsome because you can change it for CS if you want and never worry that you don't have enough credits for TS.

I agree with Timmy that there are those on the Dis boards with issues, shall we call them, but there are so many ways to get around it by either finding new threads or making your own, thankfully. We are not without little spats one in a great while but we are mature enough to move on and get over it.

We are glad to have you and I am glad you found this thread and that we make you comfortable.

Jess,
Did you find good air fare yet?

Ang
