M&N, short trips are more expensive than long ones for me with the costs involved in driving down and back, not to mention the stress. I am not a good city driver and learned how to drive late in life so I fret over it all. I enjoy the time in between and refuse to think of it then though. Have you tried putting toys on the stroller to make it more interesting for Miss Sophia? BTW, why the long wait to take her to DW. With a willing and capable grandma along it would be a great trip for you all and a reasonably priced vacation, right now especially. You could care for her in the evenings and take her for a walk about once in awhile. Just because she is too young to remember does not mean that you all would not remember her face when she saw some things for the first time. Just a thought.
Ang, Will is such a sweet boy that it hurts me to think of folks not accepting him as he gets older. I bet most will. I understand though. I deal with similar, and not nearly as cute.

Please ask him if he will eat a tuna sandwich for me. I cannot believe that turned out to be one of my favorite foods at DW. Lucy loved them too. The breat and addition of cucumber slices made it special. If a financial miracle would occur you never know if and when I might turn up. One year I was so sick that we did not go at all and for some reason, around the holidays I got to feeling much better, stayed up late one night as they had the DW Christmas show on and found a code in my email box when I woke up for $49 a nite! When Tom woke up I told him we were booked and we took off! It was a time for miracles.
Mrs K, if the T Rex place is like Rainforest the noise scares the little ones more than the animals. I am nearly deaf and that place is too loud for me. Why they do such amazes me. Maybe to get folks in and out quicker?
Timmie, (singing) "Don't go changing to try to please me, I n ever would want it that way".

If I have Tom with me it would not be possible for me to do much of what I could do last time. You have to do certain things in certain order or he gets out of sorts. Most of the time that is not too hard at DW but I have to keep a close eye out for meltdowns.
Lisa, my dear, strict diets lead to early burnouts. It is better to change small things here and there and gradually reach perfection. It took me decades to learn that, learn from my mistakes and you will be far better off.
JM, bet your place looks lovely. I am sorry for your dh's plight. My bil works overseas. Does your dh? I hope it all works out somehow though. Kids have their own logic and I can understand your boy's dismay. Means he is likely to be an organized person, at least in some ways, when he grows up. Of course, it might just have been a ploy to stay up late.

I will have both my boys for a few days and nights in a couple of weeks. Not sure which one worries me more, the older one with the driver's license or the younger one. I have made both promise to still be alive when their parents return home though.

They have a whole golfcart road system at The Villages. The garages are 1.5 for a car and a cart. Prices are down there too. Great place to retire and you could still get in your Disney fix. Of course you MUST have a guest room for your Pop Tart friends.
BTW, I took very good care of myself today. After I went to the dump I drove a few extra miles, into town, and bought myself a big cup of Wendy's chili (5-6 WW points) and sat in the parking lot savoring each and every meat laden bite. Then I drove down to McD's for one of their huge and cheap iced teas. Might not sound like much to you all but for me it was a big hairy deal. I told myself that I needed to wait until the grass dried a bit before mowing.

I plan to spend the evening, after editing a few more chapters of the book, watching Netflix Instant Movies. It is my current addiction. I highly reccomend it. Much cheaper than the premium cable offerings and you can easily make a listing of only the shows that you want your children to see. Helps to keep my brain from rotting further.
