Sept. 2009 @ WDW! Be a Pop Tart 2009~come share your(Bounce Back or NOT)Dates !!!

Lisa, glad to hear that you are NOT starving yourself to death. Actually Will, Ang's son, is right about having to eat more to lose weight. I learned all this later in life, sadly. Do you know about Dottie's site? It is the best WW site for info on all things. Just do a search and it will come up in the top group. Wendy's chili 3 pts for small, 5 for large, 3 pt ice cream cones at McD's. Get tacos etc al fresco at Taco Bell. I do a combination of low carb and WW points myself. Slow going nowadays but I plug away.

Timmie, none of us can change our basic nature. The best we can do is a bit of tweaking here and there to smooth the edges. I just did not want to see you stressing yourself out too much. Strawberry should never try to be Pistachio. So what if we are not everyone's taste? Vanilla is a bit boring. :rotfl:

SG/recuperating from too much work yesterday

Hey I am doing pretty good so far I have been watching my snacking and picking better foods to eat that fill me so I dont have the need to snack or wanna eat too much (ex broccoli instead of fries) and if I do snack I have 100 calorie pack of cookies or pop corn popcorn::Mmmmmmmmmmmpopcorn::
Let me know if i need to yell "GET OUT OF KITCHEN WOMAN" :rotfl2:LOL jk

:tigger:

I worked 7A to 12A last night and I did really good.. I think... I ate 5 times with 300-350 calori intake... it was when I got home that someone was eating LIFE cinnamon cereal that I grabbed a cupFUL of Corn pops!!!:lmao: yeah thats my excuse... so far it is 10AM now and I ate my 2 meals already :scratchin:

"multi quote is not working sorry"

 thank you for accepting that I will never be Pistachio... but I think I can be a great chunky monkey :lmao:

Yes we need to spice up vanilla... with a sticky toffee pudding !!! Yum!!!!!!!

Mrs K, if the T Rex place is like Rainforest the noise scares the little ones more than the animals. I am nearly deaf and that place is too loud for me. Why they do such amazes me. Maybe to get folks in and out quicker? :confused3

SG

MrsKreamer,
I have seen pic of T-rex and they are the scary real looking dino's like in the dinosaur ride at AK not the disnified cute dino's. Like Linda said it is supposed to be very loud like rainforest. If you could get the 2 year old to walk through by the dinos there is an ice cave room that I think is without dinos though.

Ang

MrsKreamer, I'm agreeing with everyone else. I haven't been in T-Rex, but I can remember our first trip to Rainforest Cafe, Jacob was 2 and he climbed out of the high chair in to my lap every time the animals started making noises or the thunder and lightning started. We do need to go eat there, so maybe I will see if we can do that soon. Sorry but I am unable to answer your questions about reservations and DDP, but I would think you could make reservations.

Ok, I know I am being bad double posting, but thought I would check out the link in your signature, MrsKreamer's and turns out I had subscribed to it back when you were first thinking of going this past February. The Dis sure is a small world.:rotfl:

What are your dates for September, they don't show up in your signature?

Kreamer,
Sorry, I missed some of your questions. No it's not on DDP but if you have AAA you can get a 10% discount. Reservations are made through the restaurant not disney PH 407-828-8739. HTH

Angela

last Dec. we did a walk through... restaurant was packed.. but we managed to get to the "build a dino side"... I suggest you do a reservation... there were long lines for the wait but then again that was Dec. when it was also the same week for the taping of MK and Pop Warner week...
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!:worship::worship::worship:

I have two boys(will be 5 :wizard: and 3 pirate: at time of trip). DS5 loved RFC when he was little and thought the animals were funny. DS3 is the complete opposite and does not like really loud sounds. Now that I know what to expect we will prob request a non-dino seating when I call to make resv. If DS3 freaks out we will just go eat somewhere else that night(It will be arrival night and the only thing we are planning it to eat dinner and go to bed).

Our dates are Sept 18th-Sept 26th, 8 nights at POP with 7 days in the park. As of now we are booked for the Deluxe DDP. It looks like it works better in our favor b/c we plan on doing HDD and Luau, and possibly a signature restaurant.

We plan on 2 days in MK, 2 1/2 days in EPCOT, 1 1/2 days in DS, and 1 day in DAK.

We had originally planned to go in Feb 2009 for Mardi Gras, but when Gustav hit we were under mandatory evacuation and had to use vacation time for that. So when we got home we pushed the trip back for late Sept, hoping for free dining, and it works out really well. DS5 actually turns 5 while we are there.

I am so excited!:cool1:

anybody know how to kill bed bugs ???? :scared1::scared: co worker son came bock from Florida and took a friend home...

Timmie, you crack me up. Chunky Monkey describes you to a tee. :rotfl:I mean that in a very good way btw. As far as bedbugs, when in doubt Goggle. From what I read I would toss the mattress. If you get the infestation spreading it will be far more difficult to deal with. Those things seem to congregate in the seams of your bedding and if you get them in your woodwork etc. it would be a professional job and that is even in doubt. I might not want to invite those friends to your house for a bit. I got bit by bedbugs on a vacation once and I would not wish that on anyone. I had always heard about them but that was my first, and hopefully, only encounter. :scared1:

Mrs. K,. many attractions are very loud at DW. As I said, I am stone deaf and can hear everything clearly and some things are too loud for me. The biggest culprit is at Bugs Life. Many children are carried out screaming from there. Even the benign Tiki Room is scary for children with a fear of loud noises. Some parents buy ear plugs for their children just to keep them from having their ears damaged even if they are not afraid of loud sounds. Nothing worse than wanting to share an experience with your children and having them traumatized and even worse if it is costing you big bucks to provide it. The Crystal Palace has great character interaction (Pooh and friends), good food and adult ambiance. Have you been to DW often? If not, just post your plans here and these folks will steer you in the right direction. The only thing we like almost as well as planning our vacations is planning someone else's. :woohoo:

Financials all done for the week. Not rich but not broke. Is about as good as it gets nowadays. Wonder what will break next.

We're back! Had a great time, but it was over too quickly, so we can't wait to go back again in August (tentatively, 8/16-9/6 at POP). We used the QSDDP and really enjoyed it. Still too much food, but we got our money's worth and then some.

Have a great trip! :cutie:
Maybe we'll see you in August (we should have a margarita together! :thumbsup2) We'll be @Pop 8/16-8/22!

It's a date--Petals, here we come! So sorry to hear about your grandma--.

 for calling my name ...

:snooty: for Sept dates... I will miss you this year :sad2:

We did lots of screaming for you--and got to ride twice in a row! Had FP's which they didn't collect the first time, so when ds said he wanted to go again (because he forgot to put his hands up the entire time so his behind would fly up in the air:rolleyes:), we went right back in! Of course, in all the excitement, I forgot to take a pic for you. Sorry we'll miss you on the next trip, too.

TB,
Bummer, I won't get to see you in October. I am however glad that it looks like you and Kristin will be there at the same time. DS goes back to school 8/17 so going earlier won't help him miss less school. In October he will be there for his birthday too which is better for us.

I wish we could be there for one of our birthdays--believe me, I've tried to work it out. Actually, I wish we could tag along on your June trip--dd's birthday is on the 2d and mine is on the 9th, so that would be 2 gift cards! Unfortunately, school isn't out until June 17th. :headache:

We're baaaaaackk:sad2:. Missed you all, world was not the same w/o you. It was great to see KB again:yay: Not much time in the parks, too crowded for us:scared:. Did all three DP's this time & I loved the QS. Hope everyone has a good weekend:cool1:

First, I'm single digit dancing!!!:banana: We depart for WDW & the AKL in only 9 days. We're scheduled to go back August the 23rd, but that date might slide to the 30th. It is possible that trip will be cancelled depending on the whole hubby's job thing. Because of that, we're going to make sure that we make the most of this trip!!

Bonz, you left just as we were arriving, and it looks like M2E arrived just as we left! Perhaps too many of us Pop Tarts at once is just too much fabulousness for WDW.:snooty::laughing: Bonz is right--the crowds were noticably larger than we (September folks) are used to. But dh was :cloud9: about the weather!

Ang, I am fond of out of the way places and people watching as well. The little shaded corner right down from the Dole Whips, The Noodle Station, when it is not open, the train station area near TM, etc. I love watching functional families. For me that is exotic.

:rotfl: No kidding! We definitely saw our fair share of dysfunction on this trip. Some of it in the mirror--that last morning, when we had to order, pay for and eat breakfast (in a huge crowd, of course), use up the last (15) snack credits, finish packing the suitcases, empty, clean out, pack up and drop off with luggage services the fridge from our fridge swap. . . in 45 minutes:scared1:. . . I was not a pleasant sight--or sound--to behold. :rolleyes1 Thank goodness my family has a good sense of humor, and can laugh off the rough spots. :grouphug:

The noodle station was actually open when we were there! We ate there a couple of years ago, and everyone loved it, but we've never been there when it was open since then. Between that, and the udon noodles in Japan, and the fettuccini alfredo at Everything Pop, the kids certainly got their fair share of pasta!

We have the Premium AP, so we can go just about anywhere. After August when they expire, not sure which one I will get.

We were going to upgrade to PAP's this trip, but it was cheaper to buy separate park AP's and DQ/WP AP's. I figure it's because the PAP's used to include PI as well.

We had to tell Kellie that we won't be going nuts on the souveniers this time, and she's fine with that, we told her we'd give her $50 and she can decide for herself what she wants to spend it on.....we went nuts when we were there last November, didn't realize it until the credit card bill came in :scared1:

Disney gift cards work well, too! Dh decided to give one ($50 card) to each kid next trip. We don't let them buy anything for the first several days, which forces them to really think about what they want instead of just buying the first thing they see. I'm so glad you were able to talk dh out of that absurd 6 flags ap idea. Where do they come up with this stuff?

Sorry to anyone I missed, and a big welcome to all the new Pop Tarts! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

it was A LOT of driving for such a short visit but I am still glad we went.

I feel so left out, need to catch up...:surfweb:
Hope everyone is well

T-bird-glad trip was good. Our weather could have been hotter, another reason why I love Sept. Hey, my b-day is 6-10, let shock Ang! We can lots to do with those gc:rotfl2::rotfl:
Diva-glad your home safely:cutie
Snow on the way:scared1:
Great Monday to all:banana:

I love it! You + me + $150 in gc + petals pool bar = where's Timmy's pole? :rotfl: Notice I said dh loved the weather--I carried my sweatshirt around with me all day. And wouldn't even go near the pool (Ang, I know you know what I mean!).

Last yr during free dining there was a DISparty at POP's pool what about this yr?

I haven't heard of one yet, but I don't think anyone's put together a list with dates yet either. From what I gather, we're pretty spread out--my ticker is at 4 months, yours is at 5, and Bonz's is at 6. That could be one lllooonnnggg par-tay!

Oooh, a Dis party. Might have to go to that. Might make it my first solo trip.

Glad you made it back safe and sound Diva K. I bet you are exhausted.

I need to get everyone's dates on a calendar so I can keep all these trips straight. Everyone is coming and going.:rotfl:

Got off the phone with my BFF, we have a tentative plan for our July trip. She has tickets, but unsure when how many days are on them so she is going to call this week. Also, can you get park hopper for just a day or two if you have several days on your ticket? Right now our plan doesn't really included park hopping, but we could still do it.

I decided to wash my comforter today, but forgot to dry it, did the same with Jacob's, so waiting on his to dry, so I can then stick mine in the dryer. I'm wide away anyways, took a two hour nap this evening.

I hope Monday is good to everyone!

Even though I have actually worked at WDW twice(CP at All Star Sports in 2001 and Photopass photog after Katrina) I have never been with a child like my DS. The good news is that since Dh and I know the attractions we can kind of feel things out. The main reason we are staying onsite is that if DS gets overwhelmed one of us will take him to the hotel while the other one stays with our other son.

But like I said I can still use lots of help!!!:lmao:

Morning All,

Glad to see you made it back safely Kristenamb. I hope all went as well as it could.

Hope you got some sleep last night! Parkhopper is a flat $50 fee, no matter the length of ticket. It has to be added within the first 14 days of use. I know way too much about tickets, lol.

People think we're nuts for going back time and time again, but what they don't realize is it gets more fun the more you know. When you know your way around the parks and attractions, and know what to get FP's for and when, and what to do while you're waiting for your FP time to come up, it's a much more relaxing trip.

Hi to anyone else I missed

Welcome back--I think I forgot to say that yesterday. No more surgeries for you--you gave everyone here quite a scare! Is all the numbness gone now? More importantly, did the surgery fix what it was supposed to fix? Glad to have you back.

:laundy: is almost finished, now I start trying to put the rest of the house back together again!

Ang: Sorry was offline. I think I'll stay out for TL. If you guys do the 6th or the 7th let me know. For Dinner, 6th and 7th is best for me.

Good Monday Morning!

Welcome back to all the WDW travelers - glad you had a wonderful trip!

Kris~ happy you are home safe and sound. That was mighty long trip in a short times. R E S T! Hope is was a lovely time of remembering, along with the tears of farewell.

Hiya, Pooh..hope this week you are feeling stronger and not as easily fatigued. P.S. I missed the post about the numbness - geez, how scary! Hope today is much better.

Hey, Timmy....are you up yet? Have missed chatting with you. ::yes::

SlightlyGoofy posted:The only thing we like almost as well as planning our vacations is planning someone else's.

Truer words were never spoken!! :rotfl: We must have thousands of trips between us! :thumbsup2

Hi, to anyone I missed.

My 'ole MS is acting up a bit today....awoke in the middle of the night to find the room spinning around me, had to hold on to the wall to visit the ladies room down the hall. Better now...slight vertigo with a mild headache. Funny, being on line is not bothering me as long as I don't move my eyes too quickly, so it is a bit of a slow process typing. Hardest today is that rocking makes me nauseous and that's how sweet Sophia goes to sleep.

DD offered to call out sick, but it's not that bad. Would rather have her save the sick days for a more serious need.

The sun keeps coming out from behind the clouds and makes me nauseous - may have to move to DD bedroom for the day where the light is softer... oh! or I can wear my sunglasses.:thumbsup2

Hope it is an excellent Monday for all! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Thanks so much but no the numbness is still there but getting better at least I can feel my thigh now LOL now if I can only feel my calf and foot, toes! LOL!!

Sorry about scaring you all but I scared the bejesus out of me too. I won't know for a while if it actually fixed the problem but from what I can tell at this point so far so good. My nerves are starting to re-fire again and let me tell ya they hurt like the dickens. I haven't drove yet and still feel a bit not myself but it will all go away in time.
