My friend, my friend....you will of course share how one might find a "drastically reduced rate"??? Pretty please? :)

Pooh, so good to know you are back to work! Keep taking gentle care of yourself. ::yes::

We're going to Disney this year! :woohoo:

I was able to convince Shawn last night that going is in fact do-able. So we will be going in either September or October
:scared: :sad1:

Wic!!! this is great news!!! Let the planning begin !!! Are you staying at SSR again if yes I might bump ito you guys :woohoo: if you see knitting by the quiet pool at Congress that might be me :rotfl2:

Ang, I am fond of out of the way places and people watching as well. The little shaded corner right down from the Dole Whips, The Noodle Station, when it is not open, the train station area near TM, etc. I love watching functional families. For me that is exotic. I once read that unhappy families are all alike but happy ones are different. I especially envy those who have three, or more, generations of Disney loving folks in them. :woohoo:

SG

My fave spot of people watching is by the Castle hub :cloud9::banana: or by the Jungle Jimboree spot ... or by Caseys... and by Guest relations area... as soon as they get in

Ang what I meant was IE not EI.. sorry...

Hi all...just passing by cause I need a Disney break...DM called this morning to tell us that my grandma (Dad's mom) passed away overnight...spent the day trying to find reasonable airfare to fly up for the funeral...so much for bereavement fares :headache:

like I said, this is a Disney break, so has anybody ever rented the Water Mice/Mouse??? DH & DS really want to try them in August :cool2:
This looks like a fun read!

 for the passing of grandma...

DIS will be down at 10PM... just in case you have not come across the memo ...

:grouphug:

If I only respond to one thing before we poof I want to send Kristin hugs and pixie dust.

DH and DS did the water mice a couple years ago and had a great time. They can be rented at a few different places. My boys got them at GF. You must be 16 to drive one but DS can go as a passenger. You will also have a coupon for a free 1/2 hour in your package you get at check in.

People watching anywhere is fun but better in a good atmosphere and with friends who make you laugh.

SG,
What kind of smut are you proof reading?

M&N,
I can't wait to meet you either. Our dates are 10/2 to 10/12. Charleston sounds great and even better when spent with your daughter.

Melissa,
We are not going to TL without you. I keep my promises. I can do Thursday in the afternoon after 2pm no problem. I think Timmy would be up for that too? We can wait to see if Cheryl can make it too.

Cheryl,
If you can't do TL we can do dinner one day.

Better send this before we go poof.

Hey Timmy,

I won't know what timeshare we will be staying at until the exchange is done, and I can't call in the request until 59 days prior to the dates we actually want to go. I would love to stay at SSR again, but Kellie wants to see the other resorts too.

When are you going to be there? Kellie definately wants to the the halloween party, so we need to be there while it's going on.

OK, so I'm sitting here listening to Ozzy Osbourne on Regis and Kelly and my god....I can't understand a word he's saying, being married to someone who talks like that would drive me absolutely insane! :headache::headache:

Alright Wic, Congrates on making DH see the rainbow!

Yup, I was able to talk some sense into him! :thumbsup2

We had to tell Kellie that we won't be going nuts on the souveniers this time, and she's fine with that, we told her we'd give her $50 and she can decide for herself what she wants to spend it on.....we went nuts when we were there last November, didn't realize it until the credit card bill came in :scared1:

Now I just need to sit back and wait for the 59 day mark, so we can make the exchange! :thumbsup2

Oh, Kris,

I am so sorry.

Bereavement fares are never good b/c the fares are reduced based on a full fare. Hope you found something reasonable.

Take gentle care.

When my kids were young these were called Water Sprites...it was a must do every visit! These are so much fun. even as a passenger.

The absolutely most fun place use them is the Seven Seas Lagoon & Bay Lake - a huge area to zip around. Since we always stayed at Poly or CR, we rented them there.

The yr we stayed at CBR we rented at DTD (then Disney Village - why'd they have to go 'n change such a nice name...then again, the same folks did away with Empress Lily...only named after Mrs. Disney!! :confused3 ).

Anyway...the kids said DTD waterway was boring compared to Seven seas Lagoon & Bay Lake.

GREAT fun!!! :yay:

Hi Kris,

I'm so sorry to hear about your grandmother

Good luck with those airfares, I'm sure you'll find something.

yup I take off Tuesday morning though I think I bit off a little to much yesterday doing a full day the first day back but no biggie. Thanks for all the pixie dust, it was much appricated:hug:

Thank you all for your condolences...
We have decided to drive up (airfare was astronomical and flights were very inconvenient to boot, double transfers, etc) leaving after school today, probably drive straight through (remember Christmas?!?!? At least we won't have to deal with snow and ice this time!)
:car:
Funeral is Thursday...will head back on Saturday...then my parents fly down here Holy Thursday for Easter (DM wanted us to try to use their tickets for Easter to fly there for the funeral but the tickets were so cheap when we bought them it wasn't worth the change fee!) :teacher:

Oh no Kris I am so sorry for your loss please accept our Deepest condolences from my DH and myself. Just know if you need a shoulder to cry you can count on me to be there:hug::grouphug:

Hi Ladies, just wanted to pop in...i have no idea what's going on, but you look like a nice group. We are heading to Disney from Aug 30 to Sept 6 w/free dining at POR. It's our Disneymoon (sort of) since we got married two years ago (we'll celebrate two years during our trip) and never took a honeymoon (broke and no vacation time).

DH has never been to Disney (well, not really...) and this will be my first visit as an adult doing the planning. Hello!

Oh she does, and she's completely fine with the $50 limit. Plus if she buys wisely, she can pick up a couple things!

Her special shirt will definately come with us to Disney. :thumbsup2

Not that I want to rush the year along.....but some on July! Get me to that 59 day point!!!!:rotfl2:
