Sept. 2009 @ WDW! Be a Pop Tart 2009~come share your(Bounce Back or NOT)Dates !!!

Timmie, just what 'part' are you speaking of? :rotfl: 'ALL" you have is a meal with GMax? That sounds like a whole lot to me. I are jealous.

Ang, I think all you can do is offer the choices to your kids and then let them decide. I offered my daughter piano lessons, she had natural talent and a bent in that direction. Being the contrary sort she refused. I should have told her that I forbid it. :rotfl: Anyway, now she blames ME cause she cannot play the piano. She has had over twenty years of independence, from me, and has not taken one step in that direction so I figure it is her fault. :cool1: Many of Will's character traits might not be appreciated in grade/high school but luckily that is a very small part of life. Ever see the people who used to be the BMOC who sit around bars talking about 'the good old days' while life is passing them by? All they have is that one moment when they made a pass, shot or hit, nothing else. :confused3

My desk is nearly clean. I can see spots of brown. This to shall pass.

June? You have a June trip now??? I'm just back from Disneyland and trying to catch up!

Timmy,
I thought we were going to swing by and pick you up when you get in to go have macadamia chicken (Linda I will be thinking of you) and then go to the pool at OKW or TL? We could skip lunch and swim instead.

I figured Thurs night 6/4 or Friday 6/5 for TL since you have plans with Gmax Sat and Sun and TL will be busier on the weekend anyway.

Melissa, do those dates work for you?

Cheryl, did you want to go to TL with us too?

We talked about having dinner one night. Who would be up for that? What night works for everyone and I forgot but I think someone had a suggestion about where?

2 months to go. Wooo Hoo!!!!

I am getting and AP when we get to Disney. I am going to buy TL tickets for Will and I with the AP discount. I think it's in the $30 range?

Do me a favor and let me know if you see any AP events when we will be there.

I just put OKW in my GPS so I am all set to leave even though I have 61 days left till I can.

Oh my goodness!! I am green with envy (the good kind, of course)! You guys are going to have so much fun!! Can't wait to hear all about it - some live updates possibly? :)

Have fun planning!

(Timmy, if I could go you'd have a taker for the one day tkt ;) )

Monday Greetings, PopTarts!

Ang, Airtran having awesome fares now for Sept/Oct. Out of Indy it is $58 one way, Midway is slightly higher. HTH:goodvibes

WOW, lots of planning going on. Sounds like a blast. Just a couple of observations.

Timmie, you tag along? Yeah, like a three hundred pound dog on a leash tags along when on a walk.:rotfl: Just reading about what you do wears me out.

Ang, thinking about me when having the Macadamia Chicken is not quite the same. Only good thing is that it is calorie free. :goodvibes

Janjan, how did your DL trip go? I have never wanted to go before but having learned that you can walk to the parks from the resorts has me sort of hankering now. Details, please?:woohoo:

M&N, any news about a possible trip? Or are you doing as I am and just waiting to see what will be offered? One week is not enough. I gave Tom a choice between two weeks of Free Dining or one week at Christmas and he chose the later. He has not always done so. Now if it does not snow on the way down or back. :scared1:

I have a neat stack of cards and letters, that I have been running behind on, all ready to mail. My next door neighbor, who I love in a very non Peyton Place way, has gotten home from his surgery. I am taking my Netflix box over for him to enjoy. Our houses are so close that it works well. Lucky thing we have gotten along for over 30 years. Headed to the CC shortly and have to stop and pay the bill for the water heater installation. Ouch! Left air in my bathroom pipes as well. One more thing. If I ever have another day when everything is in working order I will not take it for granted, for a week or so at least. :yay:

Have a great day and talk at ya later! SG

I'm not sure on TL - Have to check with Todd. Also according to what I've heard Thu would be the worst day for a waterpark.

M&N,
You are welcome to join us if you like. Maybe in October you can come join us and we can all meet up again and recreat the fun we had in June for you. lol

Linda,
Calorie free is a good thing. As for Timmy you did not spend enough time in the park with her. She likes to find little out of the way places to sit and people watch. I think she enjoys that better than riding the rides.

You can always change your dates and meet us in October. Maybe you could convince Tom that it is December. lol

Bonz,
Thanks for the info on air tran and it is a great price. We actually already bought on AA out of Ohare when they had the rate at $79 each way which is the lowest we paid since 2006 so I jumped on it. We are going to do just one medium check in bag and a carry on each to save the luggage fee.

Had to check just for the heck of it and I could have saved $11 plus the $15 for luggage (do they allow a free check in still) because going would be $58 and coming home it would have cost $89.

Cheryl,
I wonder why Thursday be the worst? There is a touring website I once paid for that said Wed and Thurs after 2pm were the least busy days. Here in the midwest at the waterparks Tuesday-Thursday are the best days with weekends being so crowded you have to wait in line for the everything including the wave pool and Monday and Friday due to people taking 3 day weekends. I guess WDW is a whole different story with the tourists and such. Well I suppose we could do Wednesday afternoon if that works for everyone. Timmy gets in at 10a that morning.

Angela

Angela, you are so sweet! I so look forward to meeting you & Will.

Just found out DD asked if I'd like to go to Charleston for Mother's Day weekend!! I've been blessed to travel quite a lot in my life, but Charleston and it's in the top ten of my list of places still to see. :cloud9: I am so blessed!!

DD, Sophia and pups will all go to Charleston for 3 ngts, Sun, Mon, Tues. :dance3:

October sounds like a great time for a WDW visit ::yes:: ...what are your dates?

We had 5 days of rain, but now everything is a bright Spring green. Mid 60's all this week - perfect!!

Hope everyone is having nice weather.:thumbsup2

We're going to Disney this year! :woohoo:

I was able to convince Shawn last night that going is in fact do-able. So we will be going in either September or October, whenever we can get the timeshare exchange. We're going to drive down, but that's ok, at least we'll be going to Disney and not having to go with that horrible Six Flags idea of Shawns! Kellie is bouncing off the walls. :thumbsup2

Kellie is excited about going to MNSSHP too, as she's never been to it before. The only thing that stinks is the fact that she'll be 10 when we go, so we have to pay adult prices for her now...my baby is growing up! :scared: :sad1:

Ang, I am fond of out of the way places and people watching as well. The little shaded corner right down from the Dole Whips, The Noodle Station, when it is not open, the train station area near TM, etc. I love watching functional families. For me that is exotic. I once read that unhappy families are all alike but happy ones are different. I especially envy those who have three, or more, generations of Disney loving folks in them. :woohoo:

M&N, I loved Charleston. I took the tour bus and it was the best decision I have ever made. No way could I have navigated those narrow one way streets and I would not have gotten to see nearly as much. They even had monitors that showed a slide show while we were touring. That is a wonderful Mother's Day present. Not only the trip, but the time spent together. You deserve it too!

Tom knows Christmas, that is his favorite time of year. I could fool him on many things but not that. I am looking forward to the festivities as well. If it were possible I would love to spend Christmas day at Disney. Even if I could not move with all the crowds it would be fun, I think.

Had a lapful of kids, they took turns. Read bunches of books. One boy had his face all cut up where he had been attacked by a dog. Last Thursday I had another child whose leg had been bitten. I am scared to death of dogs but I think if I saw one attacking a child I might bite the dog. :scared1: (disclaimer; I am scared of dogs but do not dislike them)

Pulling more weeds this afternoon and hope to get a couple more chapters of the book edited this evening. I am NOT going to do this anymore. I am not as good as I once was. Computers have taken away my punctuation skills. :rotfl: Also reading a love scene written by your own brother is disturbing. Very disturbing.:scared1::scared1::scared1:

Ok, I will try to comment on everyone's post. I only got one email alert for the all the posts made today. That makes me crazy.

Ang, Jacob's last day of school is the 4th. Now, we won't be upset if you want to go without us. We can meet up on another day, but if you want the 5th is great for us. Actually, the 4th is an early release day so I am guessing they get out at Noon, so if you aren't going until 2:00pm or so, we could go then. I'll try to find out what time they get released that day.

We have the Premium AP, so we can go just about anywhere. After August when they expire, not sure which one I will get.

M&N, fantastic about Charleston. If you go down Rainbow Row, we got to stay at the Zero Water Street Inn one weekend. Had the entire third floor to ourselves. AMAZING!!! The owners even gave us a tour of their part of the home and it has been in their family for over 100 years. I wish we had spent a whole day just walking around looking at all the homes.

Wic, glad you get to go to WDW. :yay:

SG, too funny about the love scene written by your brother.:rotfl:

I think I may take Jacob to Cypress Gardens over Spring Break. He keeps wanting to go in the children's area at TL, but he is too big now. Cypress Gardens has a four story water play area he would love, so thought we would give it try. It is only $40 for a season pass. Have to talk to the DH about it. Who is still stuck in DC with no departure date, should have been leaving this Friday. He is not a happy camper.

Hope everyone has a fantastic week!

WIC, better your dh should see rainbows instead of stars but whatever it takes!:rotfl: My Disney math says that I spend the same on gas running around here as I do driving down to DW and back since we stay so long. My DM also says that you gotta eat somewhere. Also we are not using water, nor much electric or gas while we are gone so that goes toward the room. Since I can usually figure out how to get the AP's at a drastically reduced rate by using various means I can usually figure out a way that we cannot afford to go!:woohoo:

Pooh, how are you feeling now? Much better, I hope.

JM, my brother is a very sick individual. In oh so many ways. I only cope with him cause I know how he got that way. In case anyone is interested or knows someone who is, he is looking for a drop dead gorgeous gal, not too old, to love and support him in EVERY way. He believes there is a long line to apply for that position. :confused3 I sure hope your hubby gets out of the Beltway soon. It might be a nice place to visit but I sure would not want to live there.

One big bag of weeds pulled. Enough for the day. I have other chores to do. Computer chores. Not fun ones but better than pulling weeds. :rotfl:
