HAPPY HALLOWEEN LADIES!! Does anyone have any special plans? DH has a football game tomorrow night, but he's going to be late. We'll head out to TorT at 6pm. By 6:30 or so, Evie's best friend will join us and Kevin will head to the stadium. Our chuch is having a party and a trunk or treat but I don't think we'll make it. Evie will be wearing her Queen Lucy costume, of course. I'll post pictures.

You all thought my Friday was busy? That was nothing compared to today. Of couse, last night, I had to finish counting the money from the bookfair. I got that all counted, coins wrapped, tallies documented, etc. about 10pm. This morning started bright and early. I was supposed to head up to the school to pack up all the boxes & sheves of books because they go back to Scholastic on Monday morning. However, the principal called, she was sick and couldn't make it. At least that got postponed unti tomorrow. So, we changed plans around. Got ready & headed out to start my day. I swing by the PTA treasurer's house with my deposit and there are several things he & I need to discuss. I go to Starbucks & the store then head up to the school. The city parks department has dropped off some pansies for my beautification chair person. She & I are going to plant them, the other 4-5 dozen pansies, winter cabbages, verbena etc that she's purchased and weed all the flower beds. Over 4 hours later, we finish and it looks geat, but I'm wiped out. I'm so damn sore right now. Does my day end there? heck no! Now I have to go to a marching band competition that my DH's band program is sponsoring. Before we go, Evie & I meet a friend for dinner & then all head to the stadium together. I got to sit on cold metal bleachers for a few hours. At least it wasn't as cold a November day as it could have been. I was able to stand it for most of the night without my jacket on.
Tomorrow morning, we'll pack up the books from the book fair. Maybe that work will work the soreness out of my muscles that I know will be there.

GEEZ...tell me about it. You guys need to join me at another board I belong to. No limit on how long you can be in there, talk about whatever you want within reason-it is family friendly (tho it is usually disney related ), never a ton of people there so lots slower, and the about the only time you get booted is if it glitches (which is sometimes a lot but just pop right back in)

Halloween was worth all the effort. The weather was so nice that I could sit on the front porch, shoeless as is my wont. I am not exactly sure how many came, more than 300, less than 400. I had such a lovely time getting to talk to REAL people and see the kids in their costumes. Many of my Readers came by and many of the grownups who had played in my house eons ago brought their children, one or two even brought GRANDkids! My oldest grandson came by early before he went on a date and my youngest lurked here instead of going to the parties. Might have had something to do with the fact that Granny just bought a Wii. My husband never left his seat in the kitchen which made things a whole lot less scary. (please forgive me for cutting and pasting from another posting but I just do not have enough hours in the day even though I had an extra hour today)

WIC, you have to check out Gaylord Palms ICE show. I have seen pictures and it is awesome. They have extra coats in case you do not bring your own.

Timmie, I see your point but I need the bus and the parking lot as well as many copious cups of iced tea so I need to be closer to the main buildings. Next time I will go close and you can drop by and see me on your long walk to the food court. BTW, I love your new tag line. It is a rephrasing of something I often say.

Ang, Will is looking for Mimsie? I went to that movie and was disappointed. How was the first report card?

M2E, I hear you. I am sort of glad that those days are behind me. The memories remain. Don't cha just want to beat on all those parents who do nothing at all? They are quick with the complaints though.

I used to chat all the time as I am a fast typer and reader but who has the time nowadays? I did manage to finish the yardwork well enough to make it until Spring but I have to drive it to the dump tomorrow. The truck still has the glitch in it. Just what a woman with a heart condition needs.

So glad to hear you got to enjoy your holloween. It was such a beautiful day here too. I did feel sorry for the little ones with furry warm costumes though.

Oh yeah, thanks to your advice I got Will the bloody knife and will be calling you when he breaks it open and the red dye gets all over the light blue carpet in his room. lol He only lasted an hour and a half and was slower than a turtle to boot. When he announced he was done he asked if we could go to the store and buy him candy for 50% off since he didn't get a lot. lol I told him if he wanted it he had to work for it but he didn't want to be bothered. lol

Will got on honor roll with all A's and B's. I was so proud of him. The beginning of the year the grades looked bad but once he settled in all went well. He has 1 bad teacher out of 7 this year and thankfully she goes on maternity leave at Christmas and hopefully will take the rest of the year off. 3/4 year till he is out of that school and it can't come soon enough. lol

I will be sending you lots of pixie dust on Wednesday. I am sure you will love seeing better after the surgery is finished.

Remember there is always the word NO. It took me a while to realize I was not responsible for everything when it comes to PTO or any other group and it will not fall apart if something gets skipped.

I love the extra hour of sleep although I was up at 8am this morning. lol

I believe KB is closer to San Francisco than LA if I remember correctly. She is still a lot closer to DL than me at 2,000 miles away. lol
