left over was great.. now am gonna take a nap before work again... been nursing this cold for awhile now :(

come Sunday if I still have it.. I will just have to do it.... Hot tea!!! with whisky and honey!!!!!!!

I was pretty good at dinner yesterday. The only thing I ate I should not have was one delightful roll, smothered in butter. My bil did most all the work so I had an easy day but still was worn out. I was at the Black Friday sales this morning, for various reasons I ended up buying nothing. I went for a HDTV but was not able to lift it myself and the workers were far too busy to deal with it so I am hoping the prices stay low and there will be more help tomorow. ;) Then all I have to deal with is finding someone to move my cable wire and hang the TV on the wall. I hate being old, feeble and in need of help. I like things my way and on MY time table. :scared1:

They make Gingerbread Pop Tarts? I have been hunting for some nice Gingerbread Men for my readers, the wee ones love that story. We shake the roof when we read it as they say it along with me, "Run, run!!" :lovestruc

What great gifs Diva K, Timmie, Minnie etc. I am going to snag some for my collection, not that I have time to actually use them.

Minnie, our Target has a nice selection of older style ornaments and such here.

I don't know about the rest of you but I think we should go over to Ants and eat her leftovers. Will be better than anything I plan to cook today. :cheer2:

SG

Mom2Evie, I am sorry to hear of your house problems. It sounds like PPP, on the part of the builder. My husband gets mad at me when I pick at places he likes but then he is not the one who is going to deal with the problems. I hope it is not as difficult as you fear and not as expensive either.

Do hope you find a great price on that HDTV tomorrow. ::yes:: It would be so neat to have a TV hanging on the wall. Very cool!

Wish I could say that I don't understand the being old, feeble and in need of help - for some reason folks seem to think if one is not tiny and petite then she must have the stength of an ox...sigh... I was never strong, even before MS came along, but now it would not be a pretty sight if I tried to lift anything even slightly heavy. :rotfl:

Come on down, SG, and we'll head over to Timmy's to share those leftovers - we should be there by the time she gets home from work! ;)

Mom2Evie, I'm sorry I missed your post about the house problems - sending lots of dust that it turns out not be a major issue or a costly one.

Timmy, make that Christmas tea with whisky and I'll be right over.

Feel better.

p.s. I'll be sure to check our Targets again. Thanks!

Ohhhhhhhhhh another one to steal!!!
Me too!! Love it, Kris!!

SG
Your welcome but mine aren't as cool as Christine's animated ones! :cool2:
Off to a Christmas Crafts Fair this afternoon with friends. Yippee!! Rarely buy anything, but it's so much fun to walk around, listen to the music, see everyone in their Christmas sweaters - too cute!
Sounds like fun...used to do that with my DM when we still lived in Pennsylvania :cloud9:
been nursing this cold for awhile now :(
come Sunday if I still have it.. I will just have to do it.... Hot tea!!! with whiskey and honey!!!!!!!
Mine started Wednesday with a sore throat
Why wait until Sunday for tea, honey & whiskey?!?!? In fact, I think I am going to go make myself some now :rotfl:

Hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving.

I think our dinner went well...DH & I had a disagreement over stuffing preparation early in the day (he didn't think I used enough poultry seasoning! :headache:) But other than that it went pretty well...Diva Mary, her DH and two DD came over and we ate in the (freshly painted) blue room!
(BTW the stuffing, AKA mushy bread, was delicious!) :yay:

Anyone do any Black Friday shopping? Find any great deals?

Never done the Black Friday Shopping thing...I guess if theres never been something I wanted bad enough and it was cheap enough to get up @4am! And I've heard stories about the crowds that are scary :scared:
SG, I am sorry about your TV...I hope you are able to get it later (I think TVs hanging from the wall are cool but scary, I am afraid they will fall off )

Try Market Day ...they have really cute and yummy Gingerbread Man cookies for Christmas. :santa:

The Christmas season has officially begun, Kristine. ;)
I know, I know...I just hope its this cold thats dragging me down...I want to shake it so I can catch the Christmas spirit! :santa:
We are so blessed/fortunate and its just so hard to buy/shop for people who don't need anything...

Oh, Kristine, I am so sorry you caught a cold. Do make yourself some yummy and soothing tea.

Glad your Thanksgiving went well - sounds lovely. Hey, what's a holiday without a little disagreeing ;)!

Never been to a Black Friday event, but it's fun hearing about others. It would have to mighty important and a huge discount for me to be out at 4 in the morning, in a long line and then nearly get knoecked over by the rush. God bless you, Linda!!

Feel better, Kristine & Timmy.

Thank you! Already had two cups of tea this morning :surfweb:
Have fun at the craft fair!

Minnie, the thing that bugs me the most is I know others feel worse so I feel like a jerk for complaining. I am just frustrated because I am used to being so darned independent. I am becoming a pain in the ****. :lmao: I might have the tense wrong though. :confused3 I did not know that you had MS. Does the whiskey help? I figure enough might make you not care as much. A teaspoon would do me in though. :upsidedow Black Fridays used to be a whole lot more fun but I do not have the energy, cash, nor need anymore. I was able to drive in the dark though, something I have not done in a very long time.

Diva K, the blue room huh? You have too big a house when you have to start naming the rooms, say I as I sit in the Den, next to the Game Room. :cool1: If hubby complains about the food there is only one thing to do. He must do the cooking next time and YOU will gladly criticize. popcorn::

If we hurry over to Timmie's house we can eat up ALL her food before she gets home. Bet she would cook us more for dinner. She is that kind of gal.

SG

SG, I never think of anything you say as a complaint. You're simply sharing with us your goings on.

Oh, yeah, MS - that showed up when I was about 31, so we've been living together for many years now. I am blessed in that so far each day when I awake a wheelchair is not necessary. I'm bothered more by cognitive issues (just my luck lol)...so have an excuse, besides old age, for forgetting things!! Can't really open bottles or jars, but then lots of people have the same challenge. ::yes::

Okay - I'm packed - what time will you pick me up to head for Timmy's? Oh, darn - have that Craft's Fair today...shoot...maybe another day??:thumbsup2

Think I've overdone it a bit with the Christmas icons??? You can be honest - don't want to make anyone dizzy from all the bouncing and blinking!

We have a game room (the red room!) and a family room...our model house was supposed to have a living room too but we put French doors on it and DH calls it his office. Diva Mary's DH said the color of the office is the color of money...the money room!
If hubby complains about the food there is only one thing to do. He must do the cooking next time and YOU will gladly criticize. popcorn::
He actually wanted to do it himself (kinda a control freak!) but I can't complain about a DH that wants to help :lovestruc

Not at all...the more the merrier! :santa:
Whiskey might make us dizzy, not your bouncing, flashing icons!

whatcha got Tarts?????:lmao:

OK time to get ready for work again...

M&Nno boss again tonight so you will see me again later :p

Minnie, I think that most everyone has some problem or complaint. I just wish there were a ratings system so we would know how much, if at all, to complain. Even though I am totally legal I hesitate to park in a handicap spot for fear someone else might need it more than I. As long as there is a shopping cart nearby that I can lean on I am good to go! I was born crippled and then got over it, until I got polio, not a bad case luckily. When my leg hurts I never complain cause that is small potatoes. :cool1: I thought the dizzy was from my meds.

Ants, just where does Buddha keep the key? I have been sneezing too so no problem.

Diva K, just how does one get a husband who volunteers to do things? Mine told his brothers that I spent his money. I told him, in front of them, that if that was true that made me hired help and I wanted my back pay, with interest and I was turning in my two week notice. My bil's thought it funny. Tom does not understand why.

My wonderful grandson came over and worked a couple of hours. He has a truck to support now. He cleaned out the Christmas room and covered the a/c unit for me and a couple of other things. I know that is costing me a couple of Disney Days but I do not care. I need it! I hope it continues. I have a list a yard long. :)

I am going shopping tomorrow. They have the thing I want that will transfer all my records/tapes to c/d so that I can sell them on E bay and clear out some more 'stuff'. Just when I get everything switched over to the new format they change it on me. You guys do not want to know how many formats I have gone through in my lifetime. :scared1:

Good night all, SG

in his belly :ssst:

:scared1:  :scared: :worship:

Timmy, going to be early tonight, so we might not have a chance to visit. Have a good rest of the night.

The Crafts Fair was fun - bought one thing - a cover for the shopping carts for Sophia when she is old enough to sit in one. A mom makes them so she can stay at home with her kids - it looks as nice as the $60 ones on line only it was $25 and supports a SAHM. Win win!

When we were leaving I realized I'd bought only ONE item, so stopped by the fudge and brought home just a bit of Peanut Butter and some Chocolate Pecan....yummy! Oh, did buy enough to share with everyone here. ::yes::

Nighty night everyone - sleep well!:cloud9:

might go home early too... now got the achy breaky body feeling...

60 more minutes and I am going home... thanks M&N !!!

Good Morning, Pop Tarts!

Ohmeohmy...could it be possible?? Could this happen? Seems I've caught the dreaded cold going around this group. Now, that's just a little too cyber chummy for me! ;) Stuffy nose, sore throat and most of all, the thermostat says it's 68 in here and I'm not freezing!! I'm freezing in here if it is under 72.

Timing is not good - Monday I begin caring for Sophia full time when Mia returns to work. She does have a home office, but glued to the phone from the moment she signs on until her assigned breaks and lunch. I'd feel awful if I give this baby her first cold. Am hoping her mama's antibodies will protect her.

Better run, got lots to do today...baking brownies (Mia's favorite) and making homemade meatballs and sauce.....and laundry.

Where's that Tylenol when I need it?;) Take care everyone!
