Sept. 2009 @ WDW! Be a Pop Tart 2009~come share your(Bounce Back or NOT)Dates !!!

Diva Mary & co were here for dinner on Thursday, Diva Becky & gang (DH, DS 9, DS 7) arrived Friday afternoon, spent the night (ate leftovers and made smores in the fireplace!) and just left. Its so much fun (noisy) having everyone together but now they are gone the house seems so quiet, no kids, no painters, just the sound of the football game on TV and my DH snorning on the couch :cloud9:

Now Miss M&N, I refuse to take the blame for your cold. Number one, I have allergies and they are NOT catching and number two, how can you blame us sweet folk when you hang out with a germ laden baby, adorable though she may be?:rotfl: Having raised three generations, so far, it is my considered opinion that babies who are exposed to a bit of dirt, germs and such usually grow up healthier for it. However, a sick baby does not sleep and neither does anyone else in the house so I will hope for the best for you all.

Timmie, who is going to take care of everyone else if you go down for the count? Just think of that Missie and get well NOW!!!! Please? Naturally the key is in Buddha's navel, that is why he spends so much time contemplating it.:)

Hooray for those smart ladies who figure out to be SAHM and earn a living. And for those who can earn a living and have a wonderful grandma so they do not have to worry. :woohoo:

Ohmeohmy...could it be possible?? Could this happen? Seems I've caught the dreaded cold going around this group. Now, that's just a little too cyber chummy for me! ;) Stuffy nose, sore throat and most of all, the thermostat says it's 68 in here and I'm not freezing!! I'm freezing in here if it is under 72.
Timing is not good - Monday I begin caring for Sophia full time when Mia returns to work. She does have a home office, but glued to the phone from the moment she signs on until her assigned breaks and lunch. I'd feel awful if I give this baby her first cold. Am hoping her mama's antibodies will protect her.
Where's that Tylenol when I need it?;) Take care everyone!

Sorry M&N you aren't feeling well...
I am actually feeling better (now that all our company is gone :headache: )
I sound worse than I feel, throat doesn't hurt anymore but voice is horse, raspy...
How do you tell if its a cold or just allergies? I have taken Claritin D everyday since I moved to Texas (haven't been to an allergist though.) :guilty:

What fun, Kris! (other than the snoring)

It's such an empty feeling after friends have left and the house is empty.

My DD, baby and DSiL due home any minute. Can;t wait tos ee Sophia - it's been a week tomorrow - hope she remembers me. She's still so little, might easily forget.

As much as I missed her and Mia, it sure was nice to have the house to myself for a few days.

Think I've overdone it a bit with the Christmas icons??? You can be honest - don't want to make anyone dizzy from all the bouncing and blinking!

I wouldn't say you've overdone it. You're more like that ONE house in the neighborhood that ALL the kids their parents to drive them past. You know, kids from all over town slow down to look at your lights & yard displays for the whole month of December. I'm always glad for houses like that. My DD gets her fill when we drive past them and I'm allowed to have my 3 lit deer in the yard & a wreath on the door.

Of course, there is one thing about those houses that I think is strange. They seem to be contagious. I think people on that block, driving past that house day after day, get their idea of normal/average decorations skewed a bit. Last year, they had 3 deer & a wreath. This year, they have 3 deer, one of those BIG snowglobes and a wreath. Next year they'll have a full 8 reindeer, Santa on the roof, a BIG snowglobe and a wreath on the door.

So, worse case scenario, by time Christmas rolls around, we'll all decide that YOUR signature is the bar that we all have to meet and we're spreading Christmas cheer with each and every post on the DIS!!

Oh, Mom2Evie, I like your Tree!! Ah, yes, the Christmas joy is contagious...and as you can see by the pm's I'm trying to spread the cheer!

Well, everyone's home and Sophia looks like she gained 10 lbs! LOL 3 mo old babies are always so chubbie - she sure has blossomed in other ways too. SOO CUTE!!!

Anyway don't think I've cold after all, so my sincere apologies for blaming all of you. :flower3: Must be allergies - of which I have plenty - this morning it definitley felt more like a cold.

Kristine, that's the age old question: how to tell alletgies from a cold. Guess we don't get chills/fever with allergies.

SG - you don't mean to imply that my darling gandbaby is going to be a germ spreader? Hmph!;) I've worked in germ factories for years...we all know that special place: schools!

Who am I missing...if I missed anyone, my only excuse is that I'm busy enjoying Sophia. Hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend. :)

Mom2Evie, Kristine and Timmie (and anyone else who's been suffering with the dreaded cold) do hope you are feeling much better this afternoon.

Wow, I was gone for about 24 hours and feel like I missed a week. Sorry to hear everyone is fighting a cold. My DH thought he had one, but finally took an allergy pill and he felt much better.

Minnie&NaNa - I love going to craft fairs. There is one here this weekend but don't think I will make it.

My DMIL and her boyfriend left this afternoon. They were nice enough to watch my kiddo while me and hubby went away for a night. Actually went to Orlando and stopped at DHS and MK. Got some Disney ornaments for my tree, so will be putting it up soon. Got to get DH to help me get it in the house.

Oh, and my kiddo decided to cut his hair while I was gone.:sad2: So, now he has a shaved head.

Hope everyone enjoys their leftovers! Think I will go make a plate now!
