Just found this thread. We are going 9/12 - 9/20 (may extend 2 days) on a bounceback offer and staying at CSR. Sometimes I wonder what works out better....bounceback with free dining or room discounts?

The room discounts are best suited for the more expensive resorts. We got a 40% off room stay only and we would have to move up to AK to get the same value as DDP. You only get the discount on rack price, not trip price.
We are from just outside of Cleveland, the snow belt !!! More cold to come at the end of the week . After a month that saw 42 inches of snow in JAN, Quick Sept get here I need some Disney magic to make me feel better.
Its been quite a while since I have checked in glad to see that the list has gotten huge. You are doing a super job keeping the list going HOLLY P great job. Now all we need is the free dining and a lot of people will be happy. I think we'll be changing our resort to CSR due to all the extras that the resort has.

It probably depends on who you get. The CM that checked for me seemed like it was no big deal and she does it all the time. She even suggested looking under my relatives. LOL

I swear, you'll get a different answer from every CM! I've called 5-6 times and get something different everytime, it's madning!!! Keep trying, it'll be worth it if you get a pin!! That's what I keep telling myself anyways!! LOL!

We are praying for free dining in september. It's our only chance of being able to afford going.

Us, too! My DD & I have Sept b-days one right after the other & we've always wanted to go on our b-days! (We usually go in the summer close to DS b-day.) This year we're praying for free dining/code/whatever so we can justify going again!

I've called a gazillion times about codes & we've never had a code! Today when I called the CM said we had the kids stay & play code (which we didn't have a couple of days ago!) Of course, we can't use this, but I thought it was odd that it JUST popped up out of nowhere.

I was on the phone w/ our AAA agent about an hour ago & she said the rumor is that they may forego free dining & just extend the 4/3 yet again. So, I dunno!

I hope this isn't true! We've booked using our way cool 40% room discount, but we're really hoping for free dining - that would save us way more than either our 40% or the 4/3 deal (which saves 43%).

I don't believe that one because they have already sent out some codes for free dining. The free dining code starts Aug 16th. I would think they will have it again (for the general public) and it will start when 4/3 ends.

We booked bounceback with free dining so I think we got a good deal this time. We tend to stay deluxe when we can.

We still have snow over here. Didn't even get to melt yet and more is on the way!

We probably won't go if we don't get the free dining. It saves our family of 4 at least 100.00 per day (and that's only eating at CS restaurants). Free dining is a much better deal for us than 40% or 4/3.

I agree with you guys...we would MUCH rather have free dining. Keep in mind this was my AAA agent who mentioned this, not a Disney CM.

To give you guys some hope--I talked to several differnts CMs last week booking my grand gathering with the free dining pin. Half of our group got 40%those in the group who got the free dining pin saved more. Anyway, all CMs said it would probably be open to the public. They said they'll send these offers out to test excitement for the deal--if they get a lot of response back, it will usually be open to everyone.

I just got a PIN for a $500 gift card. It is valid for travel 3/1-4/16. What I really would like is the PIN for free dining in Sept! I can't go to WDW next month or in April. I wish I could give it to someone who could use it. It seems like a shame for someone to not be able to take advantage of it.

Ours was in our room, just laying on the desk. If you don't have one, you can always ask housekeeping if they have one, or just call the front desk.

Do you think there is any chance they'll release room only discount codes (AP rate, or FL rate) along with free dining, so that people can choose one or the other? Has this been the case in the past, anyone know?

I'm going on a solo trip in late September -I really have no need for free dining, as I'm going going to be doing sit down TS restaurants anyway -but I would love a discount on my room.

We have booked our flights from the Uk for the 27th August until the 17th September.I have been waiting for the free dining programme as we really would like to stay at the All Stars again. Otherwise it will have to be off site.

Please could someone be kind enough to guide me and add me to the list of pin codes.
Do I book the All stars now?
Is there a deposit for the room and is it transferable?
If I book the room now how easy is it to change the booking to the free dining plan when it comes up in APril?
At what stage do I need a code and how do I obtain one?
Is there a chance that i am from the UK and would be unable to do this?

Me too!! I called the other day and was told the same thing....will definitely try again and see if I get someone who will help me
