Oh i wish you could meet my husband - but he does NOT cruise (so sad)....HIS LOSS!!! I absolutely LOVE to cruise and DCL is the only way to go!!!

I respect your privacy concerns and please don't take offense in my opinions but this is my third FE gift exchange and I've never had anyone concerned about sharing their first names or room numbers on a disforum. This may be a public forum and perhaps I am naive but I tend to think only cruisers who paid for this specific cruise read this thread.

Could you please explain to me how the FE was handled on your "EBTA?" Are you wanting to give me your info and then I email everyone privately?

As you can see, our group is not huge so I have not taken the time to gather emails and create a spreadsheet like other cruise groups do. DH and I are going on the Fantasy Maiden voyage in March and for that cruise our disgroup organized a facebook private group since we already have over 75 cabins in that exchange.

I promise I'm not trying to be more paranoid than I usually am.

On our first sailing on the WB Panama Repo '08 I was new to the board so I just went with my username -- they were fine with it. Then, when we sailed on the EBTA in 2010, I stuck with my username because Concierge made it clear to us on both sailings that it was preferred that we not provide our last name and room number --both sailings had their own private Navigator listing everyone's full name and stateroom number. He mentioned that there have been some questionable requests from guests using Concierge guests names. Well, we're not sailing Concierge this sailing (boo!), so that's not a concern, but I've always gone by Mommyto3princesses. All the Dis'ers from the past sailings know me by that name. *My FE does have our name and it was next to our room number so anyone could have figured it out, but I just felt better not having it published, kwim?

They simply put my username down with my stateroom # and the ages of my daughters.

Sorry to be so difficult. We have 6 fun families going and we're all very excited -- they are all new to DCL and I know they'd love to participate.

Being the lushes that we are…..we just ordered and paid for the wine package. Yes I know…..I know….. we can bring audit beverages our selves, but we like wine with our dinner. With the corkage fee it looks like this is the way to go…for us. And a bottle of champagne for my birthday.

Right there with ya! 2 months until we fly today and it seems sooooo long, especially when our best friend/usual traveling partner is calling us from the Land telling us how awesome Star Tours is and how he can't wait to see it with us after the cruise.
And seeing the Norwegian Cruise ship in port from our home doesn't help either a few times a week, but at least I'm not waving at the Wonder waiting to get on!
Kind of jealous of y'all that are doing the one night Sapphire Princess Cruise the night before since that sounds like a nice easy way to go, but since DS4 has never been on a real train, the romance of Amtrak was calling my name to the ultimate transportation heaven: plane/train/ship in 48 hours will be a trip my son will remember until he's at least 10 or so!
Sigh. 64 days to get through before we sail!

Hi! We are sailing with a group of friends and they are new to DCL and are leaving this up to me to organize, so I'd like to know if I could add our 5 rooms to the FE list. We'd like to do a group gift, it may be broken up in 2 or a good sized gift bag of goodies.

Just for security purposes, I am only comfortable giving out our initials on a public forum. When we sailed concierge, they strongly recommended that we not give out our names and stateroom numbers publicly. I think it's a good policy and perhaps this can be done over PM and the person in charge can have the info? This is how we did it on the EBTA.

Again, it's not the $$$ amount that matters.... but if 6 cabins are going in together, and 5 of those are new to FE's. I"m concerned that their "hearts" won't be in it if they are not part of this board. Anyone else feel the same or am I going to become Grumpy Goat's new best friend on the cruise.

LOL I am Grumpy Goat's sister. I have similar thoughts. I just got Momto3princesses info and she is adding 26 individuals to the exchange, 6 families. I need two more room numbers from her before I send the info out thru dis pm's.

But if EACH cabin that is signed up plans to do their own FE gifts than I don't see any problem with you all being a part of the FE exchange.

I will add your info to the updated list. As for any of your friends that doesn't have a room number, just email me as soon as they know. If they don't have a number by the time we leave for the cruise, I will have a Disney whiteboard on my door for them to write their number on.

Is anyone signing up for the whale watching excursion for the Victoria day? DH found a company that has way better reviews then the Disney excursion so we might be taking a non-Disney tour.

With this being our third Disney cruise always taking the Disney excursions I think we might expand our horizons and try something different. Anyone have experience doing a non-disney excursion?
