Hi! We are sailing with a group of friends and they are new to DCL and are leaving this up to me to organize, so I'd like to know if I could add our 5 rooms to the FE list. We'd like to do a group gift, it may be broken up in 2 or a good sized gift bag of goodies.

Just for security purposes, I am only comfortable giving out our initials on a public forum. When we sailed concierge, they strongly recommended that we not give out our names and stateroom numbers publicly. I think it's a good policy and perhaps this can be done over PM and the person in charge can have the info? This is how we did it on the EBTA. :confused3

Looking forward to the cruise! :yay:

I respect your privacy concerns and please don't take offense in my opinions but this is my third FE gift exchange and I've never had anyone concerned about sharing their first names or room numbers on a disforum. This may be a public forum and perhaps I am naive but I tend to think only cruisers who paid for this specific cruise read this thread.

Could you please explain to me how the FE was handled on your "EBTA?" Are you wanting to give me your info and then I email everyone privately?

As you can see, our group is not huge so I have not taken the time to gather emails and create a spreadsheet like other cruise groups do. DH and I are going on the Fantasy Maiden voyage in March and for that cruise our disgroup organized a facebook private group since we already have over 75 cabins in that exchange.

Sorry I don't think so. I may drop everyone on the list a little giftie as a surprise though :) I am a compulsive non-clutterer so collecting extra stuff is tough for me.
However, My boys might enjoy it - as well as my traveling companions - so maybe??

I promise to decide soon !

CrystalS

I have looked and see Comfort Inn at about $139 for night & 14 days free parking http://www.comfortinnvancouver.com/yvr-hotel-packages
Quality Inn $129 - but I can't find info about parking
Best Western Abercorn Inn $129 http://www.abercorn-inn.com/english/park_pack.html
Delta Airport Inn $199 (we have stayed here at $119 rate before)
https://reservations.deltahotels.com/booking/booking?execution=e1s2
Coast hotel Airport $134 https://www.coasthotels.com/rates/results
Executive Inn Express $104! https://reservations.synxis.com/xbe/rez.aspx?Hotel=16962&Chain=6278&promo=PK1
Sandman Signature $169 https://gc.synxis.com/rez.aspx?Chain=9551&hotel=19381&adult=2&arrive=09/19/2011&depart=09/20/2011
Sheraton Four Points $183 https://www.starwoodhotels.com/four...eDateYear=2011&lengthOfStay=01&promotionCode=
Hampton Inn $165 https://secure.hilton.com/en/hp/res...nid=H0EYUSJEG23T2CSGBIV2VCQ?_requestid=128252
Sandman Inn $119 https://gc.synxis.com/rez.aspx?lang...19&depart=sept+20&adult=1&step=2&promo=&iata=
Accent Inns $129 https://booking.ihotelier.com/istay...20airport%20contact&__utmv=-&__utmk=195554348
La Quinta $119 w/ hot bfast - it doesn't list it but I found a review where it states that they parked free while away.
We stayed at this hotel because it was close to the airport and offered us a free shuttle to the airport and free parking for our vehicle during the week that we were away. The little buffet breakfast that is included and available until 9 am on weekdays was an unexpected bonus - my kids especially loved the make-your-own waffles! The rooms were clean and comfortable and the pool looked inviting although we didn't have time to swim.

That's it - I'm done! ;)

What I did was....
Google *YVR Stay and Park* Then poke around.
I have also heard the new Sandman does S&P and Sheraton too. I haven't booked yet maybe I will today

We are flying back WestJet from SNA on the 29th.

Hi everyone, me (Julie) and my mum (Chris) will be on this cruise. We're flying in from the UK to Vancouver on the 17th, doing a bit of sightseeing. After the cruise we're meeting up with some friends that we met on the Disney Magic a few years ago and visiting Disneyland (we've never been before). We're staying in the Grand Californian. After that we're flying to Orlando and staying at the Saratoga Springs Disney hotel for 8 days. So its a very Disney holiday :-) This will be our 4th Cruise with Disney.

That sounds like so much fun!

We once tried to do a "round-the-world via Disney Parks" trip and had so much fun planning - until the outbreak of avian flu canceled it all. Instead we ended up on our first Disney cruise instead!

Thank you so much for all the information, I'm going to check them all out and see what might work best for us :)

I keep adding!

My fav so far is Abercon - has free hot bfast too
or Sandman Signature has waterslide
or Hampton Inn has hot bfast
or Sandman Inn is only $119!

Executive Inn Express is $104 and has extra perks like bfast - but is only 7days pking. Not sure if they are strict.

Hey everyone! Our cruise is getting close!!!! :yay: I know I've been MIA for awhile, but just wanted to stop by and say hi to everyone. SOOOOOO excited for our cruise! :) We've got all our stuff reserved and I'm hard at work on the FE gifts. I can't wait till the cruise!!! :cool1:

Greetings all. A few things for those on this board.

Please add us to "the list:" JohnGar being John, traveling with his DW, Laura (not a DisBoards member, yet).

And finally, has anyone ever done the 1-day Seattle to Vancouver cruise? We have booked this cruise to get us from Seattle to Vancouver.

hi Johngar(&laura)
my friend and I have done the 1 day cruise from seattle to vancouver. I usually like the starboard side. It really is a relaxing way to get from seattle to vancouver.
We are doing the same before the Disney wonder cruise to L.A.

I feel a Pionter Sisters song coming on…..”I’m so excited……..”

Showing my age here. LOL

Hi, everyone!
At first, I'm not a English speaker, so please forgive my poor English.

My friend and I will join this cruise from Japan.
This is our first time cruise, so we are very excited!
We will arrive at LAX and visit Disneyland before the cruise,
then will move to Vancouver on Monday.

At Victoria, we booked afternoon tea at Empress hotel.
Unfortunately, the city and shopping tour at Ensenada was full,
so I'm making plan to enjoy the town by myself.
Can I use dollar at restaurant and souvenir shops at Ensenada ?

Thank you.

Near an USAF base (Buredrop park) near Swindon from what i've been able to gather from maps etc as that base is long gone....I do want to go back & visit the UK - preferably with both my sisters that were born there

I've never been to Swindon, even though the UK isn't that big, us Brits tend to be a bit lazy when it comes to traveling round our own country :)

Hi Julie! Glad to have you on board.

Thanks Dani...andded you and Andy to list. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the welcome :)

At least it worked out well in the end :) Me and my mum have the worst look when we travel, so were just hoping that everything goes ok. We've been stuck in Paris due to a strike by the pilots, so our flight got cancelled. We got stuck in Orlando 2 christmas's ago because we'd had really bad snow in the UK, we were delayed for 3 days and we got stuck in Barcelona due to the ash cloud last year. Our flight's from LA to Orlando have been cancelled on this trip but we have managed to sort out new ones with a different airline. I think we're just jinxed lol.

I think you already know the answer to that question!!!!! :scared1:

Of course we're not even remotely close to having EVERYTHING done and ready, but the wedding plans are coming along nicely. :) Yes, we've got everything set and reserved (I think. FH is handling most of the details, but he's staying pretty on top of it all! ;)). Can't wait! :yay:

I have some comments about privacy issues on web forums. I'm involved in a number of forums on topics from photography to amateur radio. On most of those I use my real name or parts of it as a screen name. On the amateur radio forum my call sign is required as a screen name. That call sign is a public record and anyone can look it up on the FCC website.

In all the years of participating in these forums I have NEVER had any issues stemming from the use of my name or any other personal information. I think some of this paranoia about internet privacy is overstated, most likely by those selling identity theft prevention products. And, of course, the media picks up on it because they can't report hard news anymore, but have to dwell on the sensational...

You should be able to us US dollars in Ensanada, but you may receive your change in Pesos. If that's the case, you had best spend them while you're still in Mexico because they'll be worthless in LA. Dollars may spend in Mexico but Pesos aren't accepted in the US...

Thanks Susan. We had a cabin on the port side but are now GTY for a mini-suite since we saw the price drop. Haven't been on any other cruise ship other than Disney so we feel we might be a little lost at times but will make the most of it knowing we have 12 days on the Wonder ahead of us.
