*I may not be on here anymore today or over the weekend. We are meeting some friends from Dallas in San Antonio (meeting in the middle) tomorrow and taking the kiddos to Sea World & Six Flags Fiesta TX. Not Disney by any stretch of the imagination, but definitely still a nice break from reality. I need to pack (I know, it's only the weekend, but I ALWAYS overpack anyway! ) I think it's a sickness! So, everyone have a "WONDER"ful weekend & I'll holler at ya when I get back! Take care!!

My sanity, what sanity? I've added an extra hat to my head for things to remember and do. Whew! BTW- I have a very bad memory. Did I mention I had a bad memory yet?

No update on DH yet. Me and the kids are going to try and visit him later today. Guess what? My DH has to suffer some pain so we can get a temporary handicap sticker for our vehicle. Front row parking here we come!

When my dad tryied to teach me as a kid, I thought I was "too cool" for that! Now, as an adult I wish I had taken the time to learn it then. My grandmother will start out speaking in English and then revert to Spansih and she gets flustered when I remind her that I can not understand!

Oye, yo nunca hubiera pensado que tu eres una latina! I never would've guessed that you are hispanic! I totally understand about thinking you were "too cool". I lived in Indiana until I was 10 & didn't like speaking Spanish either. I would speak to my parents in English & my mom usually spoke English but my dad always spoke Spanish. When we moved to South Texas in 1982, I did start speaking it a little more (this area, I would say, is 90 % Hispanic, since we are literally, just across the Mexican border) but only when I HAD to. But all of that changed when I met/married my husband. His parents were born in Mexico & although they have lived here since just before he was born, they've never really learned to speak English. So, if I want to talk to my MIL or FIL, then I HAVE to speak Spanish! DH & I only speak Spanish at home when we don't want Krystina to know what we are talking about . I know, that's bad. We are slowly teaching her (so she can communicate better with my MIL/FIL) but she knows very little at this point. As a matter of fact, she cannot start with the 4 year old PreK program next school year because all she speaks is English!! Crazy, huh? Around here the preK program is for children who speak primarily Spanish so that they can learn English before they really start school.

Well, I've really got to get back to laundry & packing now! Take care!!

Yes ma'am full blooded spanish....my parents are both from Northern New Mexico......My mothers family is more the fair skinned dark hair, and my Dads family is more Mexican/Indian looking.....but I am the love child of a Valdez and and Arellano! LOL

I am fluent in American sign language! I can't speak another language to save my life, but ASL is easy for me LOL! So now we have German, Spanish & ASL.

I'M FREE!!!!!! No more pencils, no more books, no more teenage classmates stupid looks! By that I mean the way these kids dress I mean come on it's still kinda winter! Well I kicked my German finals a**! That's right and I did spectacular in my writing class. I do have one more final but it's online so no real stress there!

Amanda What I wouldn't do to go to WDW with you and the kids. But the cost of airfare is more than I can afford!

It's nice to see everyone here and posting more! Well I need to get DH up for work which is like trying to wake a child . I will be back later today!

Hello hello hello! Well those of you that met my DH Eric know that he had very long hair. Well I am happy to announce that he cut it all off yesterday. Not only that but he has what is called virgin hair, no coloring, no blow drying ect.So he is donating it to locks of love. He cut off about 12 inches. I can't believe it was that long. It looks soooo good! And I am soooo happy! Now don't get me wrong I love my DH with all my soul, however I don't really like long hair on guys. I think it comes from growing up in TX where all the good guys had short hair. At least in my hometown they did. Anyway that is my silly news from the west. So... Back to you on the east coast!

Yes I would like the answer to that as well. What else did you get that you didn't tell us about? HUH?! Well I worked at TDS today and it really made me want to go. But alas I had to spend buku bucks on home improvement junk. But I did get one cool thing, the Bissell flip-it. It is a vacume and mop combo for hardwood floors and it rocks (so-far).Ijust love Lowes, the guy set it up so I could take it home to try it out. I am going to use it for 7 days and if it doesn't work out return it. That store rocks!
