Sending you pixie dust!
Just curious- how do you check out the prices for airfare with DCL?
And is the only way to get airfare with them to book it when you book the room? Just curious if we could add that on our existing reservations later. I'm looking online and it's looking to be about $1500-2000 (depending on what time of day we leave) per person for us! :scared1: that's crazy. Ofcourse that's using 09 dates since I can't look up 2010 dates yet. wow.....

Awesome on the confirmed.
I managed to work out the mess of my reservations with my TA- and we're confirmed going on two cat 10's. I would have preferred 2 cat 11's but the only way I could do that is if I used the ones *I* booked on my own, without the discount and onboard credit and all that... and it would only work out to about $200 savings overall (when taking into consideration the cat 10's price, the cat 10's having the onboard credit since transferring onboard bookings to those rooms vs. the cat 11's I booked on my own) PLUS the TA felt that we'd have a better chance of trying to get 2 cat 10's SOMEWHERE CLOSE to one another or atleast on the same deck.. where as cat 11's probably won't get cancelled later and might have a hard time getting 2 cat 11's close to one another. He said next to impossible to get a cat 10 and cat 11 close together.
ANYWAY... for now we'll have cat 10 room 7507 and the other cat 10 is off on deck 1 (don't even know the number) and the TA is going to try to finagle rooms near each other much later when things open up more- if they do. I really hope we don't end up being two rooms THAT far apart though. LOL If we do end up that far apart- I think we may split up girls in one room boys in the other. LOL I mean I know my oldest will be 16 then (and the other two not young either- my gosh my kids will be 16, 13 and 10 by then! wow) but still I wouldn't want all the kids that far away from us. If we do have to split up that way- I call the room on deck 7! the stinky boys can have the deck 1 room. LOL
:rotfl:

oh and about the shirts- I dunno if we'll get them this time. But if not, maybe I"ll just take a marker to Jeff's one he already has. Think anyone will notice? HAHAHAHAHA

:thumbsup2

Eyup one and all,

My DW Tiggery spent the best part of 3 hours on the phone this morning to get us booked on this cruise! I got to spend the day at work, way less stressful! I did keep an occasional eye on the main thread though to see how she was getting on. She got us booked into a room we've had before so we're both really happy right now.

I don't know why, but I'm more excited about this one than the upcoming cruise in Nov. Grats to all those already aboard, and good luck to anyone still waiting!

When I went through the online booking process I booked it with airfare. Before you actually except the reservation it gives you the price breakdown and no matter which category I chose it still showed $1854 for airfare AND transfers. Since everything I looked at was over $1000 at 2008 prices and that price included transfers I thought it was pretty good. I am sure you can add it later. This time if I talk DH into it we will arrive the day before. I just about had a coronary on the flight to LA this summer because we only had 40 minutes to transfer in DFW. I would think the prices would be better from a large airport like DFW. We fly out of dinky Dayton, OH.

We booked the July 6th cruise for now, but depending on how the turnout for this cruise is and if it is full, we might be on this one but who knows right now.So I'll post on this thread and get to know all you just incase if that is alright:goodvibes

The prices are still climbing. I imagine they were cheaper earlier this morning -meaning before I booked a cat 11 for 3ppl at about 10am or so. But even so- from the booking I made for cat 11 for 3ppl to what it's saying online NOW for cat 11 -3 ppl... the price has gone up $800 more.

It looks like atleast it's not all booked up solid already! No repeat of the last WB repo fiasco where everything was booked up within a few hours. :) I hope everyone gets the categories they want. :)

6037 was our home for 15 nights on the PC EB Repo. It was a great location, we were really happy with the cabin!! :)

Krista

Thanks for the report!
I like the location because I tend to get lost in the LONG hallways of rooms.

We have never stayed in a "real" inside stateroom before. We have booked cat. 10's before, but they were always SPH rooms :goodvibes

Ah
Well when I was booking online -the ones I did this morning- I tried with airfare just to check out the price and it did that red error stuff at the top. :lmao: basically saying I couldn't add airfare. I'm not sure why but OFTEN when I look at prices for DCL cruises online the airfare won't work using DFW. I dno't know why..... really don't. LOL
At this point $900 would seem a savings. Looking online (not thru DCL) it looks like our airfare could be about 1500-2000 pp! crazy crazy crazy.....

Hey! Are you in Dayton? Cincinnati?

Ok, so Other then Ebay.. Does anyone know where I can buy a F/E :confused3

I am sooooooo Uncrafty.. :sad2: except when it comes to Scrapbooking!!! :goodvibes

OK now I dont want like a million orders but I have been known to be able to do one of these. I'm on holiday from the 26th but can have a nose when I get back and source some stuff for one if you want me to make one? I just need to know no. of pockets you want, colours youd prefer and can do a plain one then you just need to decorate it. Up to you but let me know either way

Ditto- it will be a first for US too (meaning me and DH). our first cruise we had connecting SPH rooms..... and the last cruise we had cat 6 for us, cat 11 across the hall for the kids. So the kids are used to staying in the inside room and couldn't have cared less! We'll see how much it bugs me. LOL I kinda enjoyed the verandah last time quite a bit- but when it comes to saving a fortune...I think i can live without it and live without even a porthole. LOL

No no, I won't encroach and make a logo.... I will work on getting THE logo into my signature! :teeth:

Oops, silly me! I was even thinking "hmmm I thought the Pirates logo was the cruise logo!".

I have to get the logo into my signature, but I'm at work so I don't want to do it here. Once I get home I'll get it in there for sure! :thumbsup2

Hey! Are you in Dayton? Cincinnati?

We live south of Dayton. About halfway between Dayton and Cincinnati, but with the CIN airport in KY the Dayton airport is closer. And cheaper I think.

I sure hope I can take this cruise. I hope the prices don't go up too much. I just looked again and they are still pretty good.

We're in Liberty Township! Definitely a suburb of Cincinnati, but - like you said - since CVG is so far south of Cincinnati, Dayton is much closer. We always fly out of there!

have some skyline for me cant get that here in new jersey. ihave some skyline in cans but you know its not the real thing

DH loves Skyline... I'm sure he will be happy to have some on your behalf! I like it (much better than Gold Star! :crazy2: ) but only so often. DH could eat it daily, I think! :rotfl:
