Okay, I am soooo excited right now, I cannot calm down and the best thing to do is type and tell you guys, but my husband is at the USC Football practice in LA and he got one of the guys that I adore to call me - and we talked for 10 minutes on the phone - AHHHHHH!!!!!! I am soooo excited - yes, I love football!!!! Okay, I need to calm down because it is getting late here and I need to wake up early. Thank you for listening!!!

That is so cool!!!! I bet you were excited!!!! :)

I know your excitement! Back in the late 80's, my DH called me so excited...he was asked by a cousin of 'Jennifer Montez' to come and have dinner with them. He was so excited. I was miffed that he was so excited.:confused3 I told him it sounded like a date. He told me "It is, it is!!!" That night, DH had dinner with Joe and Jennifer Montana! He had met her cousin at a military gathering and the cousin needed a ride to the dinner. DH volunteered without knowing it was with the "Montana's" and so he had dinner with the them. The cousin didn't want to advertise who his cousin was which is where the Montez came from. He came away with lots of signed photos. The thing is that at that time, I was a HUGE 49'er fan. Hubby is not a sports fan at all. Go figure.

But good for you Sandi...I know you enjoyed every moment of it:)

OK lets see if this one works. This was the first night menu:

OK Im not liking these going to try different settings. Let me know what you think?

:worship: :worship: Thank you, thank you, thank you for doing this!!!! I am such a menu junkie - I love to look at them over and over again.

Oh, Sarah, that is so lousy that you had to deal w/such nasty things; I only hope you had enough good stuff to tip the balance. Oh, and please keep trying w/the menus. I'm an absolute menu addict and I LOVE looking at them (I guess I must be a charter member of MAA...Menu Addicts Anonymous :rotfl: ).

Better add me to the list - I can sit here and just look at them over and over again knowing full well that they may not be the same menus we get on our cruise. I practically had the menus from the first PC Repo cruises memorized by the time we actually sailed!

Good morning all. Well, the news on Dave's dinner last night is that he believes it went really well. He was told it is "90% he will be hired" but they want to sleep on it over the weekend:) Right about now Monday feels almost as far away as the cruise:lmao: Thank you all for your good thoughts and well wishes.

That's great news! Keeping fingers crossed that everything works out.

:rotfl: I can almost feel you shaking and jumping up and down with excitement through the screen! What a good husband!! He's going to be getting a big 'ole kiss when he comes home! I'm very excited for you!

The one at Downtown Disney? Or whatever they are calling it now. :lmao: DH and I still call it Disney Shopping Village. Anyway, I love peppermint!

Yep that one! Seriously anyone who likes/loves peppermint will love this! The hot fudge goes so well!

We did have enough good stuff in fact more than enough! We only had one day where we let it get on top of us which was Hollywood Studios day and partly because I was out covered in blotches looking like I had measels and partly because it was too cold lol. We went back to the hotel and sulked around for an hour and then decided that there was no point at all so carried on regardless.

I too am a menu addict. Dans out tonight so going to try again and see what I can come up with. Might try his camera! I will find a way to make them work!

HI

Can anyone tell me how many formal and semi-formal nights they have on the transatlantic? Thanks.

OK so I was trying to remember as in work so no where near my navigators when it came to me! I know a website with the cruise navigator on (wont let me put the link here):

Saturday (Barcelona) -Cruise Casual
Sunday (Barcelona) -Cruise Casual
Monday (Sea) -Formal
Tuesday (Gibralter) -Cruise Casual
Wednesday Cadiz -Cruise Casual
Thursday (Sea) -Cruise Casual
Friday (Teneriffe) -Cruise Casual
Saturday (Sea) -Semi-Formal
Sunday (Sea) -Cruise Casual
Monday (Sea) -Cruise Casual
Tuesday (Sea) -Cruise Casual
Wednesday (Sea)-Pirates Night
Thursday (Sea) -Formal
Friday (Castaway Cay) -Cruise Casual

So in answer there were 2 formal nights and 1 semi-formal night. Bare in mind the ports are different so the nights will probably not be the same but the number should be

Oh and for anyone interested this was the order on the menus:

Let the Magic Begin (Barcelona)
Dinner Rotation Menu (Barcelona)
The Golden Mickeys (At Sea)
Dinner Rotation Menu (Gibralter)
Flavours of the Meditteranean (Cadiz)
Dinner Rotation Menu (At Sea)
Trans-Atlantic Dinner (Tenerife)
Prince & Princess Dinner (At Sea)
Master Chef Dinner (At Sea)
Small World Menu (At Sea)
Welcome to the Caribbean Dinner (At Sea)
Pirates IN The Caribbean Menu (At Sea)
Captain's Gala Dinner (At Sea)
'Til We Meet Again Menu (Castaway Cay)

And for us drinkers out there the drinks of the day were (wish they gave you recipes):
Raging Bull (Barcelona)
Bon Voyage (Barcelona)
Calm Voyage (At Sea)
English Rose (Gibralter)
Hasta Manana (Cadiz)
Island Hopper (At Sea)
Half Way Special (Tenerife)
Atlantic Cooler (At Sea)
Blue Heaven (At Sea)
Calm Voyage (At Sea)
Malibu Bay Breeze (At Sea)
Pirates Treasure (At Sea)
Land Ahoy (At Sea)
Stinger (Castaway Cay)

My favourite was from the EB and was called Tempestuous Waters or something like that. It was basically like a long island ice tea but with chambord in it and I have never been so drunk after 1 drink!

I have just thought of a tip for people!

Ok so I don't smoke but I know this from being in a bar when someone got very angry at the bar staff.

Assuming that they still sell cigarettes at bars onboard they do not allow you to purchase cigarettes in any of the ports in Europe due to the increase in taxes on tobacco. I don't know if the same is true for the Caribbean as, like I said, I don't smoke so have never had occassion to try and get them.

Thanks Sarah - it's never too soon to start thinking about your wardrobe - and in my case about losing that 10 lbs I found on the Magic 2 weeks ago ;) .

Hmm...I'm going to have to dig out my navigators, I remember it as 2 semi and 1 formal

So excited. I've just confirmed a last minute trip to DL for Thanksgiving.

Mom had a timeshare week that needed to be used or lost so she offered it to me. We were going to go north to the snow, but then something became available down south. I'll be spending Thanksgiving at DL. :cool1:

It will just be a long weekend rather than a full week. And probably only at DL 2 days since DS really wants to do Legoland before he's too big. :lmao: For those that don't know, my 13yr old DS is 5'8" 180lbs. He's already too big for Legoland, but he's holding onto the fact that he's "only" 13 and is still a kid. Of course any other time he's mantra is I'm 13 now, I'm grown. :sad2:

lol unfortunately it can only be supplied at Disney World or one of its affliated parks and I can't get a doctor over to to perscribe it

Thanks for that. We are off to Disneyland Paris in 12 days time and now I have an excuse, why I need to drag DH to the parks on a daily basis. You understand that it is not because I really want to go and can't get enough of the Mouse, but purely for medicinal reasons :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

I remember one formal and two semi formals as well. I am pretty sure Rio only wore his tuxedo once and he wears it every chance he gets. Erik could tell us for sure based on how many tie sets he and Jason had;)
Being someone who likes to dress, I wish we got two of each:upsidedow
