Had a bit of a sad day today, I had to take my elderly cat to the vet as he had gone off his food. He already was on medication for kidney failure and after discussing with the vet, we decided the kindest course of action was to put him to sleep. He was 15 years old and the sweetest boy. We will miss him. :sad1:

So sorry to hear that. My DBF works at a vet hospital, and days that they have to put wonderful animals like yours to rest always put him in such a sad mood. :sad1:But it sounds like you were an amazing momma and you gave your baby the most love and best life possible! Animals really do become a part of our families. Just try to stay positive and remember all the wonderful memories you had together!:littleangel:

Don't known if it's just me, but I have the HARDEST time with not overpacking..the flight suitcase restrictions are killin' me! I am used to having one suitcase for shoes and one for accessories and toiletries!! And now they all have to be in ONE!!:scared1: well, one and a half as I am packig for my DBF and does he really neeeeeed a whole suitcase?:rotfl2:

I have GOT to work on this...I'm getting a migrane! :sad2:

It is 10:15 pm and 84 degrees out - where is my SF Summer?

Calling all back to back cruisers. Is there anybody on here that has a Paypal account, who intends to get off the ship in Tunisia and who might be able to do me a favour?

I am doing B2B but don't have a paypal account. But let me know what I can do to help.

What time do you plan to be there??? Tangier or Rockvale????

Of course I didn't read your post until AFTER I got home from shopping! I was in such a hurry to shop this morning that I didn't even look at the thread! We did go to both Tanger and Rockvale and finished our lovely shopping trip with dinner at Miller's. I LOVE their hot bacon dressing!

I wore my pedometer today - I walked about 7 miles. Not bad for just shopping! :thumbsup2

Surgery went well, they are keeping me overnight for observation. Thanks for all the well wishes.

I'm glad everything went well. Here's to a speedy recovery!

I'll be wearing my tiara on Prince & Princess night

I may not have a formal gown for formal night but I am planning on wearing my tiara on Price and Princess night...another note to myself - got out tiara! LOL!

Oh Paula, I wondered what happened with your cat. I'm so sorry for your loss. :(

So while outlet shopping today, I got a pair of jeans for DH, hand sanitizer from Bath and Body Works (They have licorice for Halloween!) and a fish extender gift. We did so much shopping last week that we had many repeat stores...didn't stop me from looking in them though! :rotfl2:

I have an appointment with my endocrinologist tomorrow. I'm planning on discussing many things with her about my thyroid problem as well as my PCOS. I'm hoping she'll be able to shed some light (or at least offer some advice) as to why I can't seem to lose weight even though I've been trying for over a year. I've been considering going on an injection that may help with weight loss because of the PCOS...I'm going to talk to her about that too. Cross your fingers it all works out well.

TODAYS WEIGH IN:

199.5 POUNDS

FIRST TIME UNDER 200 POUNDS IN YEARS. I WEIGHED 236 POUNDS, TWO YEARS AGO, WHEN I RETIRED.

I AM DOWN FROM 215 POUNDS IN JANUARY, 2010 :dance3:

NOW I NEED TO KEEP IT OFF FOR THE NEXT THREE WEEKS. :)

I have just sorted our FE gifts, and I think I almost need a suitcase just for them. :scared1:Goodness me!:rotfl2:

Me too! And I have a bunch of stuff to return to the store that you gals really would have liked, except I didn't realize just how heavy they would end up being. Oh well..

I have added your thread to the cruise meet list :thumbsup2

Cool, we made it to 1400 posts before getting added to the meet thread! Glad everyone was able to find us okay!!

I did receive that letter, and it's on my packing list. At first when I read this I thought "Oh good! I'll be okay since the category change was in May 2009." Now I'm recalling that I had my DCL air and hotel taken off in January. *sigh* So that's a change to my reservation. *sigh*

Hopefully your news will be encouraging for others who got the "oopsie" promotion letter.

I think you're still okay. My DU TA confirmed after we dropped the DCL air and insurance in January that it didn't impact our OBC.

That is sad. Our cat was 15 when he walked out on us never to return. I missed him for absolutely ages.

Ordered 3 pairs of formal trousers (last thing i need) from a very well know UK highstreet shop that starts with a big M ... they have just rung me to say someone put in the wrong leg measurement between the shop ordering them and the order depot neither will accept responsibility. Anyway as the size they did not stock they cancelled my order for one set of trousers.

This is the second time they have got the details of my order wrong ... for a great british high street shop its disgusting.

The so called useless manager said oh it was not our fault ... and it sometimes is that even though it was in stock when ordered by the time it gets to the depot it maybe out of order. So word of warning everyone .. M& do not do live ordering if you order from them nor do they take any responsibility for things that go wrong in orders its basically tough luck. So if your ordering in shop or online do not leave it to the last minute as you cannot trust them to deliver.

jason

I would write a complaint to head office. I did this when they cancelled half my order before without telling me at all and got a voucher to use in store or online. I have to admit I tend to order everything from them online now as I find ordering through the shop a complete nightmare! They do still have issues but not as many!

I didn't realise you can order online, pay and get the order confirmation, and then just not get it they are low stock, if someone's order is prepared first and take your item before you order is processed. One of my items wasn't sent as it was by then out of stock. Strange.

Yep until the order is actually shipped it isn't yours! I ordered something from them about a month ago and had a similar issue. Had a confirmation and everything but because I hadn't had a shipping notice for almost 2 weeks by the time it was sent out I didn't have half my order. Complained and they gave me a voucher to cover postage and a bit off one of the items and then I reordered the same items!

Well, it's been over a month and one installment of the cruise meet that I've missed since we've moved to San Miguel. A bit stressful at times but now we have most of our household goods and we can start putting the house together. We just got back from a weekend at the opera in Santa Fe, NM and it's back to reality now.

Looking forward to getting back into the swing of things here on the boards and can't wait until we head out in just a few more weeks!

Michael

Glad the moves gone OK Michael!

That is so nice of you to offer. I usually can only find size 5 and few of them. Does your mom have a hard time getting socks to fit? The girls sizes aren't really big enough, especially after you wash them and the ladies, even the smallest, the heel is up around my ankle. Darn Mother Nature - I use to ask my mom why she didn't bind my thighs instead of my feet when I was baby? val
My mum tends to buy in bulk when she is in asian countries, shoes and socks. I think we all struggle with something on our body, for me I am 2 sizes larger on the bottom half than he top, dresses are hard! I suppose if we were all built the same it would be boring....:confused3:)

But dont forget you will be getting FE Gifts and more candy from the others.......I sometimes end up with more than I brought!!

Believe me Pam, I won't be. I have 25 full size packets of biscuits (part of my FE, and gifts for CM's), My FE's (the main part), 60 small Australian animals (part of FE), 60 sweets bags (Bella's birthday), Choc swap for 4 groups, plus random gifts for others including wine, toys and Aussie stuff! :scared1::scared1::scared1:

I am so sorry Paula, try and remember the good memories, not the sick times. :lovestruc

I am totally opposite, I usually just pack one change of clothes and some underwear. Then I arrive in America and shop, shop, shop!!! This time I need 14 days worth of clothes before I get to shop, that really stuffs me up!

Surgery went well, they are keeping me overnight for observation. Thanks for all the well wishes.

I am glad that it went well.

I want to know if anyone is dressing up on prince and princess theme night or villain night.

I will wear an evening gown as it is formal night. One of my evening gowns fits the Princess theme more than the other, but it takes forever to put on so might not be a good idea after a port day. I do however have a tiara for both formal night dresses.

For villains night, I had a black and purple gown made and I will definitely wear this.

Have heard from DCL today on the tastings. They are coordinating the times and dates and are working out a Mojito seminar. In addition, while they can't do the drink if the day, they suggested the mixology class. I stressed that we were really interested in the Mojitos, and that we would also be interested in the mixology class. (Hope that is OK!) I will post the old DOD list - please PM me if you are NOT interested in the Mixology seminar. If I don't hear from you I will sign you up. Cost is $15.

So, we are now waiting on the beverage manager to slot us. Once that is done, I will have dates and times. I will need to divide the larger groups and will work on conflict resolution as well.

Thats it for now!

Count me in for the Mixology class

Today is a day for celebration! I FINISHED MY MAGNETS!!!!!

That's one thing checked off on my 2 page "Still To Do List"

And I'm really tired of all this hot weather.

:cutie:

Well done for finishing you magnets. Most of mine are done, but there is still a handful I need to do. My problem is that every time, I think I am done, I find another graphic that I really love.

By the way magnets are classified as dangerous goods as well and are not supposed to be taken on board an aircraft. One of my colleagues nearly had kittens when I mentioned that I had taken my door magnets on a plane...
OMG!!! When I think of the amount I take...

Wow...we ordered new luggage today......This past weekend DW told me since we are only going to check 2 pieces of luggage to Spain we should consider buying new lightweight luggage. OK....I agree....so last night we go to Kohls and they have nice 29" lightweight Samsonite on salefor $239.00...normally $399....so we decide to think about it....so today I go on the Kohls website and the same luggage is on sale for $180.00....and in 3 colors--not the 1 color they had in the store. So....I get free shipping cause it is over $75.00....and we get an additional 15% off since DW has a coupon....so the $399.00 luggage costs me $153 each....yes....I bought 2.....one in blue for me and one in dark pink for DW...so with tax it came to $332.00 for both....but wait.....there is more....we got Kohls cash....for every $50.00 you spend you get a coupon for $10.00 for a future purchase....so we got $60.00 in Kohls cash.....so basically I got $800.00 of luggage for $270.00....may bring some of the money I saved and might just spend it on the ship....so if you need luggage...check out Kohls.com......I think we got an awesome deal!
Tom & Marilou
Definitely an AMAZING deal - very savvy shopping... :worship:

Glad to hear, Becky... Take care...

Hmmmmm maybe I can wear a crown with my gown? and become a princess
Oooh I like that idea!!! princess:

I'm up for the Mixology class! Thank you for all your hard work, Sue... :goodvibes

just stopping into say hello! All eight kids are home, and it's making for a wonderfully noisy, laughing (and sometimes arguing) house. I love it. Nothing better for a Mom than to have all her kids close. : ) I am happy.
That is the absolutely true - it's the best feeling in the world... :cloud9:

OMG!!! When I think of the amount I take...

I suppose the magnets that are used for door magnets are very low-grade. I had my magnets in my carry-on on the flight back from the Med cruise and this was not flagged at the security check at all. However, they can be confiscated if somebody is doing a very thorough check.
