I couldn't even START to list the stuff I am bringing! I keep addig to the pile. Since we are having Patrick at sea for 24 days, I keep thinking, oh, he might need this. I havent' even started to think about cllothes...just FE gifts, meds, electronics, games, tiaras, boas, mickey mouse ears, pirate costumes ( I guess that's clothes). :rotfl2:

Well I guess one nights' clothes!!! OK, two for you!!!:rotfl2:

The suitcase that I have weighs 14 pounds with nothing in it. Yesterday, DD and I went out looking for luggage sets with the 29" suitcase hopefully weighing less then 14 pounds. Then my DH gives me the plastic bags that are space savers so I can pack more into my suitcases. :rotfl2: I need to learn to pack less, not more, since the weight is 50 pounds a bag. Not happening. :rotfl:

Can't wait to "see" everyone.

Bev

Paula? Add another person for the info on the self-guided tour in Tortola. Haven't figured out what to do with DD and may have to cancel my tour there. Oh well, I'm always up for exploring.

Exactly what I was thinking Laura......Paula send the Tortola info to me too if you dont mind! Thanks!!

I just can't justify buying more suitcases. The cost of suitcases about equals the cost to put them on the plane if I buy less expensive ones than I own. To buy new lightweight set of three is over $100 about what I have to pay for an extra bag.

Oh.....on a brighter side I went shopping today......in my wardrobe!:rotfl: (sounds like Narnia!!):lmao:
I can now fit into 5 more pairs of shorts and a pair of cropped cargo trousers.....plus several tops and a dress! :dance3:
The cheapest kind of shopping, eh?!! :woohoo: Oh and Mark has lost 24 lb and had re-found a couple of pairs of trousers and some shirts......:yay:
So I do have something positive to post after all!:dance3:
:littleangel:
Wow! Way to go!

That's the BEST kind of shopping!!! :goodvibes :cool1: :thumbsup2

SO, one of my plans for this cruise was to improve my camera skills so decided last week to purchase a couple of additional lenses - until I saw the price, OUCH!!! Looks like it'll be one lens and a book to study this time...

I don't now feel quite so bad knowing someone else takes loads of stuff!!! Only thing is I also take some of John's allowance. I like choice, and I have lots of bits n bobs and toiletries etc. I really am stressing about how I am going to cut down.

We, (Ann), Have democratically decided we are taking 4 pieces of luggage - paying for two extra bags.

Off to weight lifting classes :rotfl2:

My husband really appreciate this statement. You may want to ask him aboard ship about his trip down a spiral staircase with 5 bags slung about his person. The story is still a sore subject as I was laughing as he looked so funny!!

OK, temporarily caught up.

Only hole in our travel arrangements is getting from the airport to Le Meridien the day before. Can't use DCL because booked independently.

Has anyone pre-booked direct transport, which can cope with excessive cruise baggage, to a Barcelona hotel :confused3:confused:

Maybe Tinkerbell will get to visit her on the ship.;)

I had wanted to go kayaking in St. Marteen or Tortola can't remember which but I guess I won't be doing that now. I just hope I will be able to go and whatever I get to do will be icing on the cake.

I finally did all of my pre-admission testing yesterday. It was the 3rd time the appointment was actually scheduled. They originally moved it to make it the same day as my specialist appointment which was also at the hospital, but both appointments ended up being scheduled 5 minutes apart. So I needed to reschedule the pre-admission testing for yesterday.

I am ready for this surgery on Tuesday, so I can get on with the cruise planning.;)

We will be thinking of you, and sending  for a speedy recovery!

Oh - Becca would love it if Tinkerbell paid her a visit... She has no interest in wiggling the tooth, so it very well may happen.

That would be great, Chris flys in there from time to time and brings back great pictures which just make me more determined to get there.

For all of you who are coming to San Francisco on the LA to Vancouver DCL next year, or just coming on your own to visit, we would love to help you plan your visit or perhaps take you on a tour. We don't have a van, just a buick, so can't take more then 2-3 in our car but our bus system takes you almost anywhere you would want to go. I know some people aren't comfortable in a strange city using the bus system but we would be happy to advise or maybe meet you and go with you. We can also send you trip tiks and other info we can pickup from the hotel lobbys here in the city. Although we live in the residential area of the city we are often in the areas where alot of tourists are. Our medical building is in Union Square, on the cable car line, and we shop in the Haight Ashbury area. Basically, our city is only 49 square miles. We often stop and offer help to tourists we see pouring over the maps in tourist books that are often not to scale. Two warnings I give friends coming to the city - 1. bring layered clothes and be prepared for rain like fog in the morning and warm (not hot) sun in the afternoon and then wind and fog in the evening (before the Spanish came, the Indians hunted here but didn't live here - the weather sucked to much). 2. Although we are a small city anticipate climbing hills if you plan to walk around. My in shape friends from the East couldn't believe how many and steep our hills are. I live on a 15% hill and some of the streets around us have stairs for sidewalks because they are so steep. One street we take every day has a city sign "hill" at the top that someone has crossed out and wrote "CLIFF!".
PM me if anyone wants info. Val

It's all the flippin' toiletries/skin stuff I have to take, Maz and that accounts for one case alone - not a 23kg case (more like 15kg) but a case nonetheless... :headache:

I know just what you mean, yesterday at the gym, I counted I used 6 different products, none of them makeup, after all the stuff I used in the shower. I was wondering if I think I need this stuff because I'm older and falling a part or because I've believe all the junk I hear on television. With the length of this cruise you can't bring travel size stuff. I'll need a darn suitcase just for this stuff!!
val

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: Perhaps we need yet another list with people who are taking far too many clothes and will lend them!!!;)

Definitely !!!!

Yes, that's what we do too! Actually, our women's association here in Hunter's Creeks is having a baby shower for our local shelter. Everyone is bringing baby stuff to donate.....it's going to be so much fun!

Sounds like a great idea :thumbsup2

Me Too !

Dropped from a size 8 to a 4(pants) and found lots of things!:rotfl2:
3 pairs of pants to start with:cool1:

BTW... we dont have any mall outletts here or close, so my fav places are
JC Peney and Dillards.

I hate the handing out of the tip envelopes. We try to skip it whenever we can by dining at Palo on the last night.

I've not shown up on the last night for the same reason and have gotten the cold shoulder the next morning at breakfast from the servers because they think you have "stiffed" them. Once you whip out their tip envelopes they become "friendly" again...but is is a bit uncomfortable until they get them!
