Four weeks from right this minute we will be on the MAGIC! But....funny thing is I want it to take its time getting here....sometimes for me the anticipation of the vacation sometimes is better than the vacation....so I want to keep posting and sharing with you guys but want to think each and every day that we are one day closer to getting on the ship!
See ya real soon!
Tom:cool1:

Meant to say earlier I'm so glad your dd is home and feeling brighter

     Thinking of you, hun...

Thank you sweetie:hug:

I don't now feel quite so bad knowing someone else takes loads of stuff!!! Only thing is I also take some of John's allowance. I like choice, and I have lots of bits n bobs and toiletries etc. I really am stressing about how I am going to cut down.

Oh dear...another one here......I don't want Mark to read how little some people are taking.....he'll start rationing me!:rotfl2:

Oi, those medication bags, I swear my MIL brings a suitcase full of meds everytime she comes, I laugh at her and she says 'your time will come', and I have to admit it's getting bigger every year, mainly 'just in case' stuff though.:rotfl:

Yep, I must be getting old too...I have one of those meds bags now!:rotfl:

:littleangel:

Thanks to those who have sent me PMs re. the scavenger hunt. I have added the list to my post on page 1, and I will update the list there. I will also be bringing a few spare copies in case anyone loses one, or we get some last minute joiners.

Hello from London. We saw Billy Elliot - The Musical, which was fantastic. Good story lines, music, and dancing.

Woody

Glad to see you made it to London safely. Sounds like you are having a great time! Keep in touch - we want to hear about all the fun activities!!!

:rotfl2:I do that cardigan / jacket trick too, keeps the girls warm too! :rotfl2:
Editing - that sounds a bit rude, I meant I do it to the girls, as in my daughters. I turn round their jackets before they go to sleep to keep them warm around the neck and ears.

:rotfl2: Okay, I'll admit that I was getting a different picture until you clarified!!! :rotfl:

Oh.....on a brighter side I went shopping today......in my wardrobe!:rotfl: (sounds like Narnia!!):lmao:

I can now fit into 5 more pairs of shorts and a pair of cropped cargo trousers.....plus several tops and a dress! :dance3:

The cheapest kind of shopping, eh?!! :woohoo: Oh and Mark has lost 24 lb and had re-found a couple of pairs of trousers and some shirts......:yay:

So I do have something positive to post after all!:dance3:

...oh and thank you Sarah (TA)

:littleangel:

I know what you mean .... unfortunately with Easyjet you could pay for an extra bag but it didn't include any extra weight unless you paid an additional £9 per kilo on top of the extra bag cost. :scared1::scared1::scared1:

Fortunately I am lucky with toiletries and can pretty much use anything .... so I buying what I need in Barcelona. That will save a greatd eal of weight. Also what I don't use I can throw at the end of the trip.

Now with the BA strike not happening as yet, and the BAA one over it looks like we will be ok with flying BA(we will forget about the Spanish air traffic controllers strike for now:mad:) so will have slightly more baggage. I bet I still struggle.

You are lucky re toiletries. I will throw some away at the end of the trip, and resist collecting all the hotel tubes too as we never end up using them.

John so wanted us to fly from Leeds Bradford on Jet2 and much less baggage. I wanted to

him!!!

I also make up a small pack of meds I might need to carry around in my bag - just in case of course.;)

As far as meds go I will just have paracetemol, ibuprofen, cold remedy and some cephalexin in case I get a UTI. I may also bring first defence in case of a cold. I will need to nip it in the bud.

Hope you and Mrs. Woody have been having a lovely time!! Great to hear from you!!

I think I am going to win in the who takes the most category. Is there a prize?

I would like some black wedges too, but it seems at the moment they are going out with all the summer stock.

If you don't win, I will be right behind you with who takes the most. Don't I wish we lived in the old days when the steamship company came to your house and picked up your steamer trunk before your sea voyage!!

How many cases can you bring total then ..... we can only bring 2  ( one each ) and anymore we have to pay extra but it is still the same weight allowance.

We can bring two cases easily at a higher weight on United than on our Air Berlin which is 1 case each and 1 carry on at a very low weight. I just bit the bullet and paid extra.

I am actually paying more for the extra cases that both of our flight costs combined!! We actually got such a good deal on that Air Berlin flight that it is actually cheaper to fly from Frankfurt to Barcelona than any other travel method since we paid less than $100 total for both of us.

I shouldn't really complain as we are using United points to get to Frankfurt and flight only cost us $5 USA dollars total.

What just bothers me is that it seems ridiculous to charge so much for a single bag at 40kg!!

Hi everyone.....having a hard time keeping with all the stuff with dd going on at home......so just wanted to say a quick 'hi' .....this cruise can't come soon enough!:rolleyes1

Have a good weekend everyone...see you all in 4 short weeks :cool1::grouphug:

:littleangel:

Hope all is well!! See you in 4 weeks!!

I am taking note of all of those with a high weight allowance and loads of bags so I know where to come to borrow stuff when I run out of outfits :thumbsup2

What I do with the extra toiletries that I pick up in my travels is donate them to a battered women's shelter.

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: Perhaps we need yet another list with people who are taking far too many clothes and will lend them!!!;)

I couldn't even START to list the stuff I am bringing! I keep addig to the pile. Since we are having Patrick at sea for 24 days, I keep thinking, oh, he might need this. I havent' even started to think about cllothes...just FE gifts, meds, electronics, games, tiaras, boas, mickey mouse ears, pirate costumes ( I guess that's clothes). :rotfl2:

Yes, that's what we do too! Actually, our women's association here in Hunter's Creeks is having a baby shower for our local shelter. Everyone is bringing baby stuff to donate.....it's going to be so much fun!

I love Talbots, Chico's, Black/White, Ann Taylor, Columbia Sportswear. Don't worry. If you just hit the Prime and Premium Outlet malls when you get to Orlando you'll hit them all.

Rene

Oh, yeah, I forgot Columbia sportswear, esp. the one at the outlet. I usually hit Beall's outlet on Mondays when those of us over 50's get 15% off. I am going on Monday to get a little leather backpack/purse to bring for excursions. :cheer2:
