Finally got our air schedule from Disney today! We'll be leaving Washington Dulles the afternoon of the 15th on Delta for Atlanta, then take the 5:55 to Barcelona arriving at 8:55 on the 16th. Anyone on this flight?

I'm getting excited but I have a crazy busy August to get through yet!

Looking forward to meeting you! Are the Delta and Air France flights the same flight? I've booked on Delta to Europe before and it turned out to be an Air France flight.

I am booked on an Air France flight # but it is a Delta plane, they are part of an Alliance of airlines.

Don't know. Got an update on flight times from Delta this week and it says nothing about Air France. My Delta pilot friend checked for me and says no mention, as of yet, of it being an Air France flight.

First flight overseas...

Walt, my flight (09/16 out of JFK) was bought via Air France, but has a note, "equipment operated by Delta", and to pick my seat I had to call Delta directly as Air France was unable to complete that task. I also have two different confirmation #s one for Air France, and one for Delta, but I have print outs of both, so hopefully I will be good.

You guys have been busy the last few days. We went to Denver on Friday and returned today. Had a wonderful time visiting relatives and celebrating a 91st birthday. We went to Rocky Mountain National Park so I can cross off another National Park from my life goal of visiting every National Park before I die. We also went to the Celesteal Seasons tea plant and learned a lot about tea.

I will have to catch up tomorrow after a good night's sleep and a hard day of returning to work.

Thanks for the update. I was concerned on seat arraignments. Delta has 2 seats on each side of many middle seats. Air France planes has 3 seat 4 seat 3 seat plane confiquration. Since I have 2 seats selected, didn't want another person in the aisle seat, if we are on an Air France plane. Hope that makes sense.

The flight from ATL to BCN is a code share operated by Delta. Our tickets were AirFrance - but when we wanted to get our seats we couldn't on the AF site, had to go through Delta.

Will be traveling thru Georgia at the end of month. Going to AAU Junior Olympics in track held in Norfolk Virgina, Aug 2 thru 8th. DGD and DGS are participating from the Southern Regionals. Third time for DGD (9) in 800 meters and 1500 meters; this year, she placed first in both events at regionals. DGS first time in Discus throwing. Diane and I are very proud of their accomplishments.

I have a sister in Aurora (suburb of Denver) and will be out there in late August. Rocky Mountain National Park is breathtaking, isn't it? And the Celestial Seasonings plant is fun--my 20 year old son drinks their "Fast Lane" (high octane caffeine) tea every day!

I'm looking at the Pacsafe's right now...but they are so expensive! I may just bite the bullet and buy one though...we'll see...

got ours from Overstock.com and with shipping it was less than $30USD. I got the laptop one since I tend to pack like I'm going to ge stranded on an island.

She placed first at regionals in San Antonio last week.

The Finals will consist of two runs with first place from the many heats goes to a final heat. She was ninth overall in 1500 meters at last years AAU Junior Olympics at Drake University, Iowa.
