As I was laying on the couch, reading all the pages tonight, laughing, smiling, and talking to myself, my husband is convinced that after this cruise I will need therarpy because I will not have my "dis" friends. Has anyone thought of the impact Oct. 3rd is going to have????:sad2: I think I might need an intervention or something!!!! I have missed you all!

It does not have to end....you may find our RV parked in your drive one day!! ;)

we thought May 25th on the WBPc repo would be the end... but we're still talking and are very good friends...

Right everyone???? :grouphug:

Exactly what she said! We plan to park the RV at her lake one day.:thumbsup2

Hello all....we got our flight information today....but kind of in a strange way. A few weeks back we called Disney air to find out what airline they normally used out of JFK in NY...they told us that they generally use Delta. I mentioned to the young lady that they had a non-stop to Barcelona leaving at 5:40 in the evening. She led me to believe that they try to use non-stop flights when they can. Today, I called DCL reservations to find out if the flight had been assigned. I was told that they were waiting for confirmation from the airline and we should have it within 10 days.....so here is what I did....I called Delta and asked if by chance my DW and I were on Flight 94 leaving at 5:40 p.m. on that Friday evening. They confirmed we were on that flight and gave us the confirmation number so we could change our seat assignments if we wanted to. We are currently booked and our seats are 33 A & B. Very happy with the flight and the seats are fine. Also found out we are flying back home to JFK on a flight that leaves at 11:45 a.m. in the morning and is a non-stop back home. Great flights...and no rushing off the ship to get to the airport. We are VERY pleased with these flights!!! So....now we are just waiting for our stateroom assignment....we are booked as a 11 GTY.....hopefully we can get a little upgrade....maybe a small window to the outside world.....so we got half the loaf today......can you guys see the smile on my face.....its there!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

Nice!!

....Andrea and Sarah - I have added you to the list, I just have to let Kimberly know about Sarah to post on the main board.....

Considered me advised. :)

Therefore, Attention SCRAPBOOKING EXCHANGE PARTICIPANTS:

Post #19 has been updated to reflect an additional participant.

Nice!!

I have a very nice house picked out too!!! :cloud9:

First... would anyone mind if I got penciled in for some of the activities seeing as some of the deadlines are coming up??? I know I'm going to book... I have to wait to get paid and I'm hoping that's going to be around the week of the 19th... I'd like to do the FE and maybe a few other things.

Also... has anyone thought of doing door tag? You know... you make a few magnets, attach the list of those participating and you pass it from door to door until it gets back to the original person - you see how fast it can go around... I think we got about 5 or so done on the pc repo...

Yes to the FE - I can add you to the Strawberry group!

As for door tag - YES - It was so much fun on the WBPC!

we thought May 25th on the WBPc repo would be the end... but we're still talking and are very good friends...

Right everyone???? :grouphug:

yep - and they even let wayward cruisers come back and visit and still welcome (me) back with open arms :) it is fun - it is like going to visit family - some are around all the time - and others just come and visit every once and awhile. It was fun to meet back up with WBPC cruisers on the EBTA and now even others on this cruise!

Facebook is another great way of keeping touch with people after the cruise - I have a lot of EBPC cruisers on my friends list. ;)

Another way is to just book the next cruise and get to know your new cruise mates. :rotfl2:

Has anyone tried mapping out their trip on google maps. I just finished planning the Barcelona portion. Very cool and easy. Now I can use it when we get there.

Onto planning the next days trip to Giornia and the Dali Museum

Thanks!!!! Just let me know how many I have to do for!!!

& I'll do tag... when I know more... I can put it out there and see who is interested...

& I think we're kinda like family on our WBPC thread... we've been through everything together... and everyone is always welcome to come back and visit!!! :grouphug:

Is it London folk who are strange, or American folk who are strange........I know us Aussie folk are strange :rotfl:

Oh, we Americans have more than our share of strange (just watch reality TV if you need proof :happytv: ).

Funny, when I typed 'drool', I knew it wasn't the right word, but had a total brain blank (which happens often, remember, my brain leaks :lmao:), That is exactly what I meant, Texas drawl, you can keep the Texas drool to yourselves! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

"Brain leaks," too funny. I call it my brain taking a little vacation. And it takes a lot more of them than the rest of me :rotfl: .

I remember what else I wanted to say - the dresses/gowns that everyone posted are just beautiful. I will definitely not fit in, but love looking at all of you. Totally Princesses!

I do not wear heels because if I did, I would be way too tall. I am 5'9" with flats. It is flats for me all the way!

Keep posting the dresses - loved them all! Just because I don't wear them, doesn't mean I don't like to look!!!:) Not only are the dresses beautiful, but so are the families.

I know what you mean. I love looking at the dresses too. I also much prefer flats, but not because I don't need the height. DH is 6'4"; I'm 5'2". I could walk on stilts and be fine; I just can't take the heels.

Trying to catch up - only to page 40. Had a raging headache yesterday. Came home from work and took a migrane pill and went to bed around 7:30 pm and got up today at 6:30 am and could have continued sleeping.

Good Morning everyone. Hope you don't mind another last minute joiner. Yesterday we found this great deal on this cruise and decided we couldn't pass up the opportunity. I booked my cabin and air ticket. Now I'm in a panic. HELP

Bob & Val

Welcome - I am also a fellow San Franciscan - SOMA.

:scared: I just returned from a walk around the lake where I was attacked by a bird. It was so weird. The dumb thing came right at my head and it still hurts. I'm trying to decide what I should do tomorrow when I walk by that same spot. This isn't the first time I have had issues with birds at that spot, but this is the first time I've been physically assaulted by a bird!! :confused3

Any suggestions?

Here in SF there is a bird that attacks people in the Financial District. Here is the you tube of it. I understand he is now on the Embarcadero near the Gap offices as he went after a coworker the other month.

WOW - we're doing a medication exchange too?? :lmao:

I DO travel with a pharmacy! Reminding me I need to hurry up and make an appointment with my MD to get my usual travel prescriptions that I won't use but I don't travel without. Guess that comes with being a pharmacist - I want to be prepared for everything! :thumbsup2

I haven't started the whole packing process yet so I have no idea :scared1: but I've been threatened that it can't be as many pairs as I took on the EBPC. Doesn't seem fair since I was only on board 15 nights then and I've got 24 nights this time. But going from having a cabin to yourself to having a roommate does make a difference, I guess. I just don't see how 19 pairs of shoes was excessive though!! :rolleyes1

Please do not encourage on the shoes. :rolleyes1 However you and I need to talk about our medicine cabinets we are bringing.

What do the pins look like? how many different are there? I might be interested.
Pin

For all new people on this board, this will be the desgin. Most off us have vote for this one.

On page 47 message 691 there are price detials.

Cruise Pin 2 without Mickey and he added pirates on both sides.

If you're intrest let me now

Connie

I keep seeing that women need to have their legs covered to go into churches in Europe. Does that mean I need to wear pants, skirts or can you wear capris? I am assuming that means no shorts. Should you also wear closed shoes and not sandals?

You can't use the design as the company making them is selling them to us.

Long skirt or pants I would go with. Capri's can be iffy. Its to do with showing off your knees so depending on the length some may take offense at some capri's. Shoes don't matter but I'd avoid flip flops as most churches will have loose stone floors as they are fairly old so may be an issue

Hello all fellow TA cruisers....my DW and I are both getting a little antsy.....we have neither a stateroom assingment and have no idea what our flights will be both to Barcelona on the Friday night before the cruise or our flight home from Orlando after the cruise.....I know they should be assigned shortly but the waiting is starting to get to us....sometimes checking twice or even three times a day.....
Tom & Marilou

Don't blame you guys for getting antsy! Hopefully it will appear soon!

Thanks. Yes, we were GTY, and then a couple of weeks ago we had a cabin # appear on our ressie on the DCL website when I logged in (to try to get Palo brunch, of course). Now it's gone, so I'm not sure what's up. Wouldn't mind some pixie dust, of course, but certainly never count on it :goodvibes .

Oh, yes, we're feeling the same way. It's so hard to make plans when you don't know when you are leaving/arriving and where you will be staying. :scared:

That's very strange. I always thought once it was assigned it was set but hey who knows.

Sarah, all I can say is WOW! Who needs a Passporter when we've got this! We are so lucky to have you cruising with us! I also thought it was very sweet that you mentioned GOS's husband who passed away. That was very kind.
:)

Thanks! And thanks to everyone who's said such kind things about the Navigator. I really felt I wanted to include Heather (Gos) as they were a big part of this cruise until the tragedy happened so I wanted to make sure they were there as well!
