OMG...I have to tell you this story. My favorite author Elizabeth Peters (Barbara Mertz) has a recurring character in her stories whose name is Algernon Bracegirdle-Boisdragon. Here is the link in case anyone thinks I am making this up. http://www.librarything.com/character/Algernon+Bracegirdle-Boisdragon

I would love to hear the story over an Adult beverage or two. Name the date and time!!

yes, I'd love to hear that story too :thumbsup2

Pin Update

We have received a quote back from a pin maker. They only make pins in lots of 100 at a cost of $5.10 per pin. If we only make 50, the cost will be higher.
They will be 50mm(1.9 inches?), when we do smaller they will cost less.

Since we only have orders for about 48 pins, does anyone want more pins?

There is still one manufacturer who wants more information from me to give us a quote but I think the price will be about the same. I also get in contact whit a company in the USA the prices are the same and they will do 200.

We also need a higher resolution copy of the logo as the one on line will not work. If we can't find one, we may have to change the pin.

Let me now what you think about it.

Connie

Sounds great to me Connie :)

John and I just love the Halloween outfit. I don't know if I going to bring Pal Mickey because of weight issues but if I do, I will have to be sure he is properly outfitted.

He has to come with me. So many pictures so many opportunities!!:lmao: He will be part of my carry on. I will just have to be careful of his outfits!!! :lmao:

It's not near as elegant as what you ordered, but I think it's very flattering on me and won't take up as much packing room as the one I fell in love with on eBay. :thumbsup2 The one I ended up ordering is black and white and includes a stole. It's not as glitzy as I wanted, but with some clever ideas my mom came up with for the stole to take advantage of the two-tone, adding the tiara, and some bling with jewelry, it's going to look nice. Even the bridal consultant was impressed with the look we pulled together. It's expected in about 4-5 weeks.

This is absolutely gorgeous.

So, since everyone is posting their formal dress... Here is mine...

dress.jpg

I didn't get a wrap as I run warm, now watch - this cruise I will be cold...

I love this dress, too.

Ah, Ursula had not even occurred to me. I was pondering which villain you might have referred to on my way to work. I thought that you might have been talking about Maleficient.

Oh did I miss talk of fascinators? Who's wearing one? I brought one at Christmas in the sale and wanted to wear one but didn't want to look out of place! Its black, green and purple!

I am thinking about getting a fascinator for Villains Night.

Here is my formal dress (for both nights :) ) from the EBTA and I will be wearing it again this cruise for both nights.

Another gorgeous dress. This is so unusual and pretty.

My Pacsafe bag came today. I got the Venturesafe 200 and I rather like it now I have seen it in the flesh. Plus it wasn't as expensive as some. The colour is a kind of salmon red, but rather nice. The choice was a little limited.

I was hoping that my bag would get here today, but no such luck. Maybe it will be here tomorrow.

Since e
veryone is sharing their formal wear, here is mine. I wore it to my DD's wedding and then to the 100th anniversary of the Concert Band that my DH plays with. it has a slight train. I was so lucky to find this dress in a consignment shop!!!:woohoo:

Update on Mickey Bars from 2010 Baltic thread: (one person's opinion)

Statement: The ice cream bars are just regular ice cream bars (not shaped like Mickey) but they are completely chocolate covered.

Question: Thanks for that, but more importantly......are they good?!?

Answer: No. They suck. They are like a Winn Dixie brand icecream bar. They did not have that really thick chocolate that the Mickey Bars have...just a very thin layer of chocolate. I ordered them once thru room service and never wanted a second.

I am confirming the Barcelona transportation to the port. I need names, dis name, hotel, and how many people. I do not have pricing yet I need to have a very close final count before I can get pricing. Please get back to me as soon as possible. If my mailbox is full contact ReAnSt.

I'm also sending a PM to very one.

Sounds like were going to have to convince the Captain to ask the Wonder to leave some at Castaway again for us , just like the last time errrrrrrr

I did a couple of books with the free version of the software a while back. I love that "cocktail table" book look when printed!! Anyway, my DSIL was selling (think she may still be...) CM, and she talked me into buying the newest software. I haven't made a book with it yet - so tell me what I need to get!! I installed it and was poking around, but that is it so far... You can prod me to work on my Cruise book for this trip!

Will have to look for you on FB... I am there, but not there, ya know? I gave up my farm because it was taking all my time, and then it was baseball season, then it is cruise plannin... I have been weaned from it now! LOL But would love to see what you have done!

I have friended you :) on FB

Oh there is some great stuff to have for it that is all disney!!! I will try to chat with you on FB about it - the paid software allows you to do so much more than the free stuff!!! You are inspiring me to finish up my EBTA book now so I can show it off! Do you have version 3 of the software?

You really need to check out her pages on FB. They are just wonderful!!

Thank you so much! The software makes it easier to do - I just wished I had gotten it done earlier - like I am planning to do on this cruise.

Thank you to everyone for the kind words about my dress! I tried the crinilone on with it and while I liked it - I will not be bringing it because it took up too much space in the suitcase than I thought! It doesn't weigh anything but just too much room!

:

Congrats to Becca for her new, cooler freedom with her arm! Stephen, you're next to get that healed!

It was doing good last week. It got better in the last week then the last month. They want me to keep me wrist cool and ice twice a day. This week is not going to be good, because heat cause more fuild in my wrist. Yesterday it was in the high 90's and today and the next 3 day it going to over 100 degrees with high humidity. Then in the upper 90's the next 10 days. Right now it is 101 at 6:30 at night. It was 90 at 8 a.m. this morning.

Have you tried using the space bags where you suck the air out?

What a great find! The color looks great on you, too!

I stand corrected. Not sure who is doing the scrapbooking. Maybe Kimberly (Buckeye Gal)?

Sorry. It's not me. Without looking, I know there's a reference on Page 1 or 2 about some scrapbooking "class" (I think it's a running list that gismo Sarah has put together), but I don't think I've seen that activity director/volunteer on here for a long time.

On a similar topic, however, Sandi (Hoagie Pie) is keeping a running list of people who want to participate in a scrapbooking gift exchange. On Page 2, there's a post under my name that quotes Sandi's post and has more info on that.

I agree. Otherwise, I would be going around calling people birkner, BuckeyeGal, gismo, dolphingirl, etc!!

...and we would be calling "Candy Apple? Where are you?", and people would be following us to Goofy's Galley in hopes to find a candy apple! :rotfl2: (Love your screen name, btw! It just a happy, vibrant vision every time I see it!)

The positive news is that it IS improving and surgery is still not in the cards! Sorry that it's going to be a challenging week ahead though. *sigh*

my mom loves those. When she packs up my dads sweatshirts for the summer. They go from 2 dressers of them to one shelve in the closet. He has about 100. I never see him wear the same one twice in a month, In fact his request for taking care of our animal while were gone is a new one.

If you don't have your Mickey Mouse Club T-shirts yet (see Post #1), now's the time to do it!

On the Mickey Mouse Club shirts do the names go on the front? or the back? or does it matter?

Is everyone wearing the same formal dress for both formal nights ?

I am. Mine isn't real formal (more coctail length) but it's formal for me. I just change the accessories I wear with it.

:cutie:

Way to hot to be comfortable, much less keep your wrist cool!! What about something like this?

Ice spot cold theraphy

Who lives in the wdw area that wants to volunteers to pick up the mickey bars and bring them to us on dry ice? anyone?

I put mine on the back but that is just me.

:cutie:

I bet it will be really nice!!

Is everyone wearing the same formal dress for both formal nights ?

Possibly, depends on luggage space at the final packing.

That was what I was worried about. I am usually all of a lather anyway when i am getting ready. Need to look at plan B and C and perhaps D!!!:lmao: I'm ok when i am standing, but not sitting down if you know what I mean. Perhaps only a few ladies might understand.:rolleyes1

A sweaty butt imprint on your chair when you stand up is not desirable, but sometimes just can't be helped. :rotfl2:

YAY, More Dis'ers, Kimberly is too! :cool1:

As proper princess I will take what I can and share with everyone

Love it, So sweet. :cutie:

Oh love the crocs! I've got a pair of alice ones that I love and purchased some Cyprus ones (or were they Crete) on Saturday so I've got some flip flop ones for the cruise.

Did you want me to put in the Navigator about your magazines?

I love the Alice ones, how does the suede finish wear?
I don't know how many mags I will be able to bring due to my luggage being scary already, But I will stuff as many as I can in! I am happy to use my room as a second drop spot if you want to put that in the Navigator? I don't have room assignment yet.

I notice when out and about that fascinators are becoming a fashion accessory rather than just for a special occasion. Quite a fun item. I wore one for our son's wedding and felt really good.

I love accessories, great way to show your personality. Anything goes these days! :thumbsup2

Here is my formal dress (for both nights :) ) from the EBTA and I will be wearing it again this cruise for both nights.

Krisann, love your dress, I agree the lighter colour close to your face is very flattering, and the fall of the dress looks stunning. :goodvibes

oh and I do not wear heals and the shes I have on under it are a pair of ballerina type flats that I got at Payless and they are the most comfortable shoes! I am trying to decide if I should put my crynilon (sp?) under the dress to make it more ball gown for the princess night? I need to try it on that way and see how it looks

Krisann

I hate heels, If I can get away with it I will also be wearing flats, depends on the dress I buy. :confused3

No amount of complaints to DCL seem to have any affect on the quality of website. I guess since we are only booking not spending ACTUAL money on the site they just don't care as they feel we can book on the ship.

It is very frustrating! DH was laughing at my hissy fit when I was trying to get on, but It really is annoying! :rotfl:

I am trying to convince DH to change to the Tour to Virgin Gorda but he really like the Virgin Sail. Will keep you posted.

It was the trip report photo's that you posted the link for that made me want to do Virgin Gorda, looks amazing. Thanks :thumbsup2

Such a flattering cut, looks like it was made for you. Great find! :thumbsup2

I stand corrected. Not sure who is doing the scrapbooking. Maybe Kimberly (Buckeye Gal)?

I think it was Sandie (HoagiePie) :confused3

Some of our past formal / semi-formal attire:

All gorgeous again! I love the colour co-ordinated Golden Mickey outfits. ;)

Oh how fun! I will be working on mine on the cruise as I will have my computer with me - I am going to set up the book with the days before we leave and then plop pictures in as we go each day so i can have a finished book the day we return!!!!

You girls are so tech savvy, I wish I was. I would love to see some, I will friend request you. :thumbsup2

That's a great price Connie, I was expecting heaps more. I will take a couple if that helps. :)

This is my most favorite outfit if his. Gets me a lot of character interaction :goodvibes I got it in the pet section at Target :lmao:
He is going to wear this for when we go the MNSSHP Sunday night after the cruise

My daughter usually has her PM naked!!! :scared1:

OH NO, That really is a disaster! Oh Well, maybe it will be one less dimple on my butt by the end of the cruise. :rotfl2:

On the Mickey Mouse Club shirts do the names go on the front? or the back? or does it matter?...

If you prefer it on the front like Annette Funicello did, you can. No rules really. However, since you asked, I think most of us are putting it on the back, leaving the front for only the graphic. ::MickeyMo Obviously it does make it less crowded if you put it on the backside, but I say do it as you prefer!

Who lives in the wdw area that wants to volunteers to pick up the mickey bars and bring them to us on dry ice? anyone?

Won't do us much good unless we ship them and BOY would that cost a fortune. Probably wouldn't let in the country as it would be considered food!!

Just pm'd him the same information. How great minds think alike.;)

For sure!!
