My Pacsafe bag came today. I got the Venturesafe 200 and I rather like it now I have seen it in the flesh. Plus it wasn't as expensive as some. The colour is a kind of salmon red, but rather nice. The choice was a little limited.

I saw the Pacsafe Venturesafe 200 on Ebay. Are you going to use as an everyday carry around bag?

Yes indeed, particularly in Barcelona as we are there for 4 nights, and I might drop my guard when out and about with us being there for so long. It isn't big enough to hold my travel documents and other things I want for our journey there or back home from Florida, so will have my slightly bigger one for that. Looks like a few bags will be packed with taking evening one too.

Thank you! it was made for me by the owner of the local fabric shop that I go to - I could not find a pattern that I liked and I wanted a particular type of dress (high waist) and a very full skirt and she came up with this design. I choose the lace with the beading and just loved it. I was supposed to have my pearl necklace and bracelet on with it BUT I could not find where I hid my little box I kept them in right before the cruise. Good news is my son found where I hid the box this past week when he was looking for something I hid from him (we were playing) I was so excited and relieved that we found it.

oh and I do not wear heals and the shes I have on under it are a pair of ballerina type flats that I got at Payless and they are the most comfortable shoes! I am trying to decide if I should put my crynilon (sp?) under the dress to make it more ball gown for the princess night? I need to try it on that way and see how it looks.
Krisann

I vote for the crinoline slip!! I have one like this I wear with one of my long dresses though not one I will bring on the cruise. Well, I don't THINK I am bringing it on the cruise.

I love the lace and beading too, and it looks so nice closer to the face than black sometimes does. I can't get away with flat shoes under my dresses as they are short, but i could do with some comfier heeled sandals for sure!!!

I agree that the lace and beading is very flattering!! If I wear flats, I really look my 5'3". With some nice heels, I can get to 5'6 or 5'7".

Well all the Disney sites are a pain to be honest. At the moment the DVC members page has the new Aulani advert, and it comes down over the information in the first box on the right hand side. So if you want to click the Upcoming Vacations link, you can't and have to move to another page to find it!!! Why would they want to do that? Just a silly oversight I guess, but very amateurish.

The way the advertisement is positioned is deliberate, IMHO. DVC wants to FORCE you to look at the advert as they feel if they give you any chance NOT to look, you won't.

Just my thoughts...
:surfweb:

Hope I'm not too late (just can't seem to keep with you all)...

You are not late. Just read what you can. If I am too far behind, I just go to the last page and work backward.

I'm a sort-of-novice scrapbooker who is happy to do fairly simple pages with the emphasis on the photos (although I truly admire the pages that are works of art I see in the magazines).

Q: Can someone fill me in on the scrapbook activity being planned? Is it a class, an exchange, etc? When, how, etc? Who should I contact?

Thanks for the info--and ALL the incredible info on this thread!

Andrea

I think KrisannB is organizing. You might want to check the first page to be sure.

I haven't looked because there is little chance we would ever get there, but I imagine it is going to be very poplar. I just want to stay at the Grand Californian Villas after our January PC cruise, but am wait listed at the moment.

Happy (belated) Anniversary, Noel and John!!

How are things going with the DD and her DBF temporarily moved in?

Thank you!! DD and her BF are fine. Haven't seen much of them as they have been at Lake Tahoe at a friends house since after work on Friday. Don't expect them back until late tonight. So far, so good...will keep you posted.

Connie, you look FAB-U-LOUS!! You ABSOLUTELY need to bring your costume for this cruise!

Another vote for her to bring costume!!

So much fun to see all the lovely dresses. Makes the cruise so much more real every day we see all of our plans emerging!!

Since everyone is sharing their formal wear, here is mine. I wore it to my DD's wedding and then to the 100th anniversary of the Concert Band that my DH plays with. it has a slight train. I was so lucky to find this dress in a consignment shop!!!:woohoo:

To everyone who has posted pictures of their formal dresses (and the two wedding dresses too) they are all what i would call WOW dresses - just beautiful and the when you walk past in them i can so see people turning and saying Wow!

The Grand Californian Villas really look wonderful. DH and I will have to check them out next time we go to DL.

We stayed at the Grand Californian in 2008 for the WBPC meet. It was the weekend that the last POC movie was released and Johnnie Depp was on our floor. Security was tight and you could not go to his end of the hall.

If I bring mine it will be in the bottom part of my rollling duffle squeezed into a 2.5 gallon ziplock bag to tame it! Now I have not told my hubby yet that I want to bring it - I may just surprise him!

Nope not me :) I only do digital scrapbooking! I did on the EBTA a presentation for the Creative Memories digital scrapbooking software I use - some had to leave though because they do not make it for a MAC (sorry). The only things I tradtional scrapbooking with anymore is my memorbillia from the cruises!

Sue ... that is a beautiful dress too .... love the detailing on it. Very elegant. My formal is black too.

Is everyone wearing the same formal dress for both formal nights ?

I had planned to just wear it the once, but I may do it with the under skirt one night and once without - we shall see...

I'm loving the formal dresses people are posting pics of. i so wish i was young with toned arms and bust!!!:lmao::lmao::lmao:

LOL - I don't have toned arms...

I do the digital CM as well!! I am gong to have my laptop mith me, and am going to try and keep up a little... I have 6 unfinished books - all Disney, waiting to be finished... I am staring at them right now... Kills me... Tons of cool stuff for them, just no gumption to get them done...

I bet DH will be surprised when that giant slip pops out of the small ziplock!!

I stand corrected. Not sure who is doing the scrapbooking. Maybe Kimberly (Buckeye Gal)?

On top of all the digital photos I have to organize, I have photographs that go back to the late 1800's that belonged to parents, grandparents and great-grandparents.....

Must be a gene that I inherited...one to keep boxing up the photos....

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: I do find it hard to have different coloured shoes and bags, or have to use a bag that doesn't match my outfit. I have been known to take quite a few bags on vacation, but this time I will indeed go unmatched!!!:rotfl:

I am so looking forward to seeing them all. These longer cruises sees more people dressing up.

I would have been staking a claim at the end of the corridor to try and catch a peek!!

We did stay at the GCH after the PC cruise and really loved it, but it is too expensive this time. We were on DVC Developer points then which needed using or we would lose them.

We have matching Hartman Intensity bags this time as we are only taking 3 bags to check in. However, may swap one for one of our Tumi's. Carry ons are matching Eddie Bauer Bags.
