Sarah it will not let me see the Navigator on my main PC, it says I have to sign in, but on my little notebook, it opens straight away.

OK I'm very confused now! Anyone who can't get in pm me an email address and Ill send you it! I don't get google documents at all!

Well, I've been working away and parting at weekends so have really struggled to keep up, Mum has been reading but hasn't yet managed to post, that could be seen as a good or a bad thing, depending on which way you look at it :rotfl:

The navigator looks great thanks to Sarah (Gismo) and PJ. Signed up for the pins, thanks Connie and Noel, and we have decided to link our dining so I'll PM Sarah (Totally Angelic) with our details - still no room number though!

Candy swap, we have gone with a selection of treats in a bag so everyone gets a small taste.

Had a great day yesterday as we went cruise shopping too! Shoes - check, dresses - check, swimsuits - check, jewellery - check, smart tops - check. Did a mini packing run with all our evening wear and some day wear under 20 kgs - check. When do we leave :confused3 don't think I can wait 10 weeks:rotfl:

Pictures of dresses jewellery and friends and family have been great. Keep safe it will probably take me another few weeks before I have time to post again - as have another 6 weeks working away in my diary so far - so enjoy yourselves.

Sarah

Thanks Sarah! Sounds like you got loads of shopping done! I think we're OK clothes wise.

Anyone renting a tux? When are you putting your order in? I know it says at least 2 weeks in advance but anyone think it should be earlier?

That's what I figured. A roll is definitely not gluten free. Looks like a box of corn chex it is!

Hi Candy Apple,

I'm a celiac / gluten-intolerant as well, and travel a lot on business. All of the major airlines have gluten-free meals, and that will include a breakfast "snack" of some kind on an overnight trans-Atlantic flight. Be sure to order it at least two days before the flight. Whether it's actually edible - that's a different story! :rotfl:

Typically, I expect to get some fruit, possibly some yogurt, and occasionally some cheese. Once, on a KLM flight in business class, I got ungarnished cold fish rolled up into balls :scared1: which is WAY outside of my usual eating patterns. But it was GF!

Bottom line: I always try to take food with me popcorn::, because there are too many things the airlines can get wrong. Either they don't load the GF meal; or they load it, but get it wrong; or the load it, get it right, and it's absolutely disgusting.

As the Arab saying goes, "Trust in Allah, but tie your camel first!" :)

Best regards,
Richard

We thought about Disney dining, but it makes me eat far too much;):lmao:, so we decided against it. Probably will never do it again to be honest. We also like eating off site, or snacking it a bit. However we did enjoy it the first time, not quite so much the second.

We have done the dining plan before and enjoyed it, even though there
is too much food. They have taken the starter off now, which is a bit less
food.
We also know, that we will have credits left at the end, that we wont
use up.
Some of our table service meals will be used on breakfast, which will free up some evenings to eat offsite, which we like doing too.

Sarah I have sent the navigator to my PC, from my notebook so I am set thanks.

Other Sarah :) I will send you a pm with the details needed for the late sitting at dinner. Thanks

Sue, I always thought it odd to schedule the first formal night on Day 3, when we visit Gibraltar. The all aboard time is 5:30, and first seating is at 6:00. What were they thinking?

Typically, the first formal night is on the first sea day.

Let's see what the concierge says.

Woody

This is what cncerge game me a while back and i have questioned it since the start, so we shall see...

I'm wondering if that will change. Does seem very strange to me too.

if it does, Im ok - but they have some work to do!!

that is so true, even if people came back early to get ready a lot of people are going to want to watch as we leave Gibraltar. It doesn't make sense surely they will change this.

Not so sure... I have been hearing it is what it is for a while now...

Thank you for creating and posting the dining rotation. Is there anyway to know which group you are in before you get to the ship?

It is so nice to have all your knowledge available to us.

Val

Rotations for non concierge are not known before hand if I am not mistaken. We were able to request a rotation, but we are in a cat3. We took rotation 1 to have priate night in PC (for the kids) and I gave up formal night at Lumieres... I wish there was a better rotaton for all of my wishes...

Happy to share what info I have!!

DCL were originally saying Night 2 was formal night but are now confirming Day 3 is!

So, i guess that means I wll get a different story from concierge... :lmao::lmao: I think it is too ealry for them to all be on the same page...:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Well our GPS took us for a fun ride on the way home. It did not give me enough time to get in the correct lane and we end up in Inner Harbor Baltimore. Little side trip. Beside that I had alot of fun.

I love our GPS (Betty) Especially when she tells me to stay on the highlighted route... :rotfl2: I love Inner Harbor - did you have time to stop and shop/wander/eat?

Our flight starts at 9 am and then a 4 hour layover in Atlanta - then we get on the "overnight" flight at 4:25 and get to Munich at 7:55 am - so we will be taking some food to eat along the way.
...
And (no offense to smokers) on these long cruises, they have to refuel at places AND there is NO SMOKING during the refueling which takes most of the day - I actually was up on deck 10 during a refueling and this guy was up there smoking and I told him he could not smoke and why - and he said - oh so that is why none of the ashtrays are out! I am not a smoker and smoke bothers me but there are places Disney says they can smoke so that is fine - but I just did not want to see the boat blow up!

Krisann

Too bad it isn't easier to go and meet people at the airport - or we could come and meet you guys! Unfortunately you would have to come out of the secure area, and that is then a pain...

it pains me to no end that people don't pay attention - not targeting smokers - it is peiple that lack a general sense of smarts... Obviously if the ashtrays are out you can smoke. If they are not out doesn't that send a message? Oh, and if there is a sign telling people that a seating area is not open is means don't sit there... Oh, don't even get me started...

Where all nervous, tonight Holland plays the final against Spain.

But the orange dressed people having fun all over the world.

Connie

We are cheering for Netherlands today! :woohoo: Hope that the fine people of Barcelona are understanding... :rotfl2:

OK I'm getting confused! Here are the 2 versions I have on google both of which shouldn't ask for access but then again who knows - oh and they are identicle just uploaded twice:

Thanks. Number 2 works, but after looking through it I remembered you hadn't put the weather on it yet. Does anyone remember that post? That's what DH wanted.

Scaring myself a bit silly right now.:scared1: Watching a programme(recorded) on the building of the Queen Mary2 and all the extra difficult things they did in the design etc to be able to cross the Atlantic safely. Things like rogue waves are very real so they built the hull with extra thick steel, and put an extra wave barrier to push the wave back off the front so it wouldn't damage it!!! Plus wave heights have got higher as hurricanes have got bigger, and I don't want to know!!!

I'm hoping the more southern route we take might be less of a problem.

I haven't updated these versions they are the original one posted. The updates have been done to include the weather which I think is about 4 pages back and will be in the new one. I'm waiting for a week or so to check if there are any other updates before getting Penny to work her Magic on it and get it pdf'd for me!

Unfortunately you can smoke on verandahs, and on Deck 4 Starboard at certain times, not during the day because it is a running/walking deck.

No smoking around the children's pool.

Otherwise you can smoke Starboard, Decks 9 & 10. Nowhere inside at all.

Thanks Marilyn, I thought that was it :)

We have reservations in Italy at EPCOT for our anniversary and that dinner alone will likely pay for 2 days of DDP for us. We find it a good value, for us, because we love to do a sit down dinner when at WDW. :goodvibes But then, we generally enjoy eating. :sad1:

I had this issue the first time that I did DDP! I found I was taking desserts back to the room after every sit down meal and never eating them. On the last day I had 4 counter service meals left and about 5 snacks so had to buy loads to take on the plane! Unfortunately the drinks I brought were confiscated as forgot about the liquid restrictions!

This time we have 6 nights of free Counter Service dining. I think this will work well as we can use our snacks around EPCOT food and wine and then have breakfast each day at the resort and a snack meal in the evening. Hopefully will work out OK? First time Dan has done dining so I'm going to have to make sure he gets everything hes entitled to with meals!

Anyone know what you get with a counter service breakfast?

I have liked the dining plan when we are staying more than 3 days but one time I was getting ready to leave and had too many credits still left, so I was there in the dining area at All Stars Movies and gave some of them to a mother and daughter that looked like they were trying to share a meal.

Thanks for the info. I think cold fish balls would make DS12 , even with the dramamine I'll be giving him! I'm going to have to check what restaurants are at the Atlanta airport where we have our layover before the redeye flight so I can see what food I might be able to buy for him for dinner, just in case. Maybe they will have an Arby's, the only fast food place I've found so far where I can order him a gluten-free dairy-free main item: plain roast beef (no bun), which he loves!

The atlanata airport has a lot to offer! Not sure what terminal you are flying into but here is some stuff that might help you!

Here is a link to that ATL website. http://www.atlanta-airport.com/default.aspx Once there, there is a terminal map link on the left. (It shares a box with the filght info). You can choose by terminal. International terminal is Terminal E.

This is a link to a pdf of what is what by name. http://www.atlanta-airport.com/docs/terminal/amenities.pdf

I know one Sept, DD and I were doing a 4 day cruise. A hurricane came through - I think it was Ike?? Anyway I was convinced our cruise would be cancelled, however it went ahead and the ship sailed around it. We swapped our sea day and that was it - a perfect cruise :goodvibes

Sarah - I`ve just had a look at your navigator (2 worked for me) what a great thing it is - thankyou so much.

 Hello! I feel like I haven't posted in ages, but it's probably just been two or three days! Thankfully we haven't gone wild posting pages an pages, so I am caught up, but have a backlog of replies I need to get to!

In general, welcome back those of you who have been away on holiday or interrupted by something called life. Also, I wanted to say that I love Steffi's animated beach picture in her signature!

There have been a couple of medical "emergencies" around me this week. My cousin who is in her late 50s, has suffered from arthritis since she was a tweener. She's had both legs and a shoulder amputated and quite literally every other joint in her body replaced one or more times. She has had a very tough life, but goes through it with such a positive spirit. She's had three seizures in 48 hours, and there's no apparent reason for them. She's finally come out of her comma from the last seizure, but that took 2 days for her to come out of it. Six months ago we thought we were going to loose her due to infections....her kids don't see her being around much longer. It's just so sad to watch.

We are counting our blessings for one of my high school classmates. Yesterday, he was standing in a 7-foot deep trench helping install septic in his brother's new house when the dirt/clay walls collapsed on top of him. He's alive, but he's pretty "boogered up" as he put it last night. :) Lots and lots of broken bones including 7 ribs (all 7 broke in 2 places), scapula, collarbone, and sternum. He also has chipped and fractured vertebrae. He was moving his neck last night and there seem to be no paralysis. Thank GOD he wasn't alone when it happened because a couple of men that where there with him were able to dig him out enough to get some air until emergency personnel were able to dig him completely out. So lesson noted....do not EVER be alone when you're working in a potentially dangerous environment.

So they come in threes.............. :scared:

On a happier note!!.... I've been busy working on cruise stuff. In a typical Kimberly fashion, I can't do one thing and finish it. I always have multiple projects going on. So in the past 3 days, I got myself to being 95% finished with my main FE gifts, 90% finished with door magnets, and more than half way done with my scrapbooking embellishment exchange gifts. I also found my Fish Extenders and figured out which ones I'll be packing. This trip is feeling so real!

In a couple of hours, I'm heading out to go visit Grandmother for a few days and hopefully see mom. I wanted to get some of these projects to a point where I can easily take them with me to finish up while I'm with her. Hopefully I'll find time while I'm there to get on-line and reply to many posts on my list I wanted to comment on.

:chat: As many of you are getting your flight info from DCL, don't forget to pass it along to me via PM if you want to be added to the list in Post #2!! :chat:

Until next time, have a fabulous week everyone!

Goodness Kimberley those medical issues are just awful. I hope both involved make speedy recoveries.
