I asked my Ta about the fuel surcharge, she said that's it taken off in Januari when they had the change to rebook. I don't now what the price was on the first day for stateroom 11.

I think Disney maked to mistakes the fuel, and the onboardcredit. And they telling not the same story everytime.

Thanks, we will have fun in Disney Paris. Hopefully they have not to much from Chip and Dale.

With all this talk about fuel charges I have emailed my TA ( Dreams Unlimited) to see if we were charged it or not. If we have been charged it I have asked for it to be removed on the basis that it is discriminatory and basically a penalty for booking early. Don't know if I will have much luck with that.

I also priced up the cruise on DCL website and it is coming up now as $2276 for a cat 12 for 2 of us. We originally paid $2346.60 ( maybe the difference is the fuel supplement :confused3 ) so I have asked if it would be a good idea to cancel and rebook at the lower price. However ..... we don't want to lose the $200 on board credit we got from DCL for booking early. So if we would lose this we will just keep our existing booking.

I wonder what the response will be?

You might come out slightly ahead like I did. Your numbers sound similar to mine. Is the OBC because of booking with DCL while on board or is it a Dreams OBC? That could make a big difference. I can't speak to wheat Dreams would do, but I kept my onboard discount and OBC because this was a transferred ressie from one I booked onboard a long time ago. I think most of the TAs only offer OBC on new bookings so not sure how they will handle this.

Oh, and Shelley (if you see this) I was able to keep my same cabin number even though they are only offering GTY now.

:rotfl:

We're considering the bolded tours too... making a decision tonight since we can make ressie's this weekend.

OK, I'm working on the photo thing....

Yahoo, here it is!

That is hard. I hear you on the broccoli... and I LIKE broccoli... LOL re the Guiness. If I saw more progress I wouldn't get so discouraged... but the deprivation combined with iffy results... sigh... that gets SO old, SO fast! I could be a little more patient too though...:rolleyes1

Oh my God how cute!!! I want one now!

I keep looking at slim fast thinking - is it going to work this time lol!

Cat 11's were $999 per person first 2 not sure about 3rd & 4ths!

I was able to too when I got my OBC cancelled off even though only GTY was available!

Also kept the $200 OBC for that mistake where they sent out letters as well!

That would be fun to go together. :goodvibes

Have you already booked? I know Kimberly has posted the info about our tour and we thought maybe we would take that option. Do you have another option in mind? You can always PM and we could work out details.

I personally do not plan to go to this, Noel. Make sure you check with Sharon from the tour company if you are interested though to see if you can get a better deal through her.

Can you please post the info for contacting Sharon again? TIA

I have no firm plans, have just been researching. We will definately look into the tour company Kimberly suggested.

With Sunday being the day lots of us will be booking tours and other things on DCL, we are trying to decide if we will use DCL excursions or other options. We would like to tour the island, ride the cable car and the toboggan. We have a tasting at the Blandy's Madeira at 4:30 so we would want to be dropped there.

John and I are considering using Daniel Madeira Taxis for an excursion. Anyone else interested? As you see, the more persons on the tour, the cheaper the tour. DCL tour is $155 per person for same thing.

Here is website and price info:

Conditions we offer you
In case you have an itinerary in mind already, just let us know and we'll be very pleased to personalize a tour for you.

If you book a tour with us, we'll be waiting for you right at the end of the ship's gangway, holding a sign with your name on it.

It won't be necessary for you to send a deposit. You'll pay the driver at the end of your tour.

Our currency is the Euro, but you can pay us in British Pounds or US Dollars as well. However, if you don't bring euros, we suggest you get them from a Cash Machine, as Exchange Tax is lower.

If, for any reason, the Cruise Ship's docking in Funchal is cancelled, the tour is automatically cancelled and no monetary compensation is needed. Also, you won't have to worry about letting us know as we'll be informed of the situation.

Wishing everybody fantastic cruises!

If you are going to contact her, just ask about 4 of us. No need for her to be doing twice the responding. I think the 7 dinner would be good for us. We would like to be picked up also to save taxi fares if not too expensive. We are at Praktik Barcelona.

I will ask her. What night would you want to go?

I'm a "Linda" also and we're an altogether different type!

:cutie:

This made me laugh! I completely agree (no offense to Lynne/Lynn's).

We (me & DH and my brother & sis-in-law) are having our final excursion planning dinner tomorrow night in anticipation of booking on Saturday at midnight....getting very excited ! Hopefully we can get some of our tours booked and our Palo brunch & tea! Once they are booked (or not--based on availability), we can research a little more too....there's always a reason to have a cruise-planning dinner! I always say the same thing about this trip...."don't want to wish away the summer...but...."

I was at the doctor again for my wrist again. I'm still having pain, but now I have swelling in the hand and wrist. The doctor went back and looked at the MRI again. The arm was clear, but the wrist is fuzzy. So I need to get another MRI. It least the person that took my MRI said i was having problems holding still because of the pain, so my doctor prescribe me xanax for the MRI. I still not looking for another MRI. I will let you know the results when i get them.

Stephen

Wishing you all the best Stephen and hope you have some good news soon :sad1:

Well done on passing your courses and on the shopping. I really have to stop cruise shopping. I just won a fabulous dress for semi-formal night on Ebay last night. There is just a little flaw with this. This is joining the semi-formal dress that I bought for the Med cruise and 5 other perfect semi-formal dresses that I picked up as absolute bargains. Anybody spot the problem? Yes, we only have one semi-formal night. Still, they are lightweight and not totally over the top so I will probably bring them all and just dress up every other night or so.

Corinna

Let us know what size they are Corinna and I won 't need to do any more shopping! :thumbsup2:lmao:
