I'm sure somewhere along the way I missed learning that you worked on a cruise ship! What was your primary job?
I worked first as a bartender, and then as a stateroom stewardess.

I'm sure somewhere along the way I missed learning that you worked on a cruise ship! What was your primary job?
With all this talk about fuel charges I have emailed my TA ( Dreams Unlimited) to see if we were charged it or not. If we have been charged it I have asked for it to be removed on the basis that it is discriminatory and basically a penalty for booking early. Don't know if I will have much luck with that.
I also priced up the cruise on DCL website and it is coming up now as $2276 for a cat 12 for 2 of us. We originally paid $2346.60 ( maybe the difference is the fuel supplement) so I have asked if it would be a good idea to cancel and rebook at the lower price. However ..... we don't want to lose the $200 on board credit we got from DCL for booking early. So if we would lose this we will just keep our existing booking.
I wonder what the response will be?
Congrats!
I don't know if Kimberly is planning to do this with our tour group but if you would like company, John and I are interested.
We're considering the bolded tours too... making a decision tonight since we can make ressie's this weekend.
OK, I'm working on the photo thing....

Yahoo, here it is!
That is hard. I hear you on the broccoli... and I LIKE broccoli... LOL re the Guiness. If I saw more progress I wouldn't get so discouraged... but the deprivation combined with iffy results... sigh... that gets SO old, SO fast! I could be a little more patient too though...![]()
I asked my Ta about the fuel surcharge, she said that's it taken off in Januari when they had the change to rebook. I don't now what the price was on the first day for stateroom 11.
I think Disney maked to mistakes the fuel, and the onboardcredit. And they telling not the same story everytime.
Thanks, we will have fun in Disney Paris. Hopefully they have not to much from Chip and Dale.
You might come out slightly ahead like I did. Your numbers sound similar to mine. Is the OBC because of booking with DCL while on board or is it a Dreams OBC? That could make a big difference. I can't speak to wheat Dreams would do, but I kept my onboard discount and OBC because this was a transferred ressie from one I booked onboard a long time ago. I think most of the TAs only offer OBC on new bookings so not sure how they will handle this.
Oh, and Shelley (if you see this) I was able to keep my same cabin number even though they are only offering GTY now.
That would be fun to go together.![]()
I personally do not plan to go to this, Noel. Make sure you check with Sharon from the tour company if you are interested though to see if you can get a better deal through her.
Have you already booked? I know Kimberly has posted the info about our tour and we thought maybe we would take that option. Do you have another option in mind?[ You can always PM and we could work out details./COLOR]
Can you please post the info for contacting Sharon again? TIA![]()
I have no firm plans, have just been researching. We will definately look into the tour company Kimberly suggested.
I am going to contact Sharon so keep me posted on your plans.
From the website:
Best Flamenco in Barcelona
Enjoy an authentic experience in a wonderful setting
Enjoy a very special evening combining the best of the Spanish cuisine with an authentic and professional Flamenco. The dinner and drinks take place in a special dinning room next to the show stage in a setting called Tablao (the dinner and show are both in the same place).
'Flamenco Tablaos' are small cafe-style places descended from the so called 'singing cafes'. The Flamenco Tablao is the perfect place to appreciate the intimate art form of the Flamenco.
At the Tablao Cordobes, one of the most important Tablao Flamenco places in Spain, you can enjoy an authentic Flamenco show and a dinner buffet. Tablao Cordobes has gained international recognition and is a member of Tourism Barcelona.
There are 3 nightly shows to choose from:
Dinner 7:00PM
Show 8:15PM
Price: 68 Euros
Dinner 8:30PM
Show 10:00PM
Price: 68 Euros
Dinner 10:00PM
Show 11:30PM
Price: 60 Euros
* Show and drink only - 37 Euros anytime
If you are going to contact her, just ask about 4 of us. No need for her to be doing twice the responding. I think the 7 dinner would be good for us. We would like to be picked up also to save taxi fares if not too expensive. We are at Praktik Barcelona.
I will ask her. What night would you want to go?
I'm a "Linda" also and we're an altogether different type!

I was at the doctor again for my wrist again. I'm still having pain, but now I have swelling in the hand and wrist. The doctor went back and looked at the MRI again. The arm was clear, but the wrist is fuzzy. So I need to get another MRI.It least the person that took my MRI said i was having problems holding still because of the pain, so my doctor prescribe me xanax for the MRI. I still not looking for another MRI. I will let you know the results when i get them.

Well done on passing your courses and on the shopping. I really have to stop cruise shopping. I just won a fabulous dress for semi-formal night on Ebay last night. There is just a little flaw with this. This is joining the semi-formal dress that I bought for the Med cruise and 5 other perfect semi-formal dresses that I picked up as absolute bargains. Anybody spot the problem? Yes, we only have one semi-formal night. Still, they are lightweight and not totally over the top so I will probably bring them all and just dress up every other night or so.
