LOL what about a brick??? I'm sure I need one of them

LOL sure, I'd be happy to pop some bricks into my suitcase for any Farmville players - build your own suite :lmao:

Matt Lucas rules! He is so so funny as the Tweedle's!

I love Matt Lucas... we are big Little Britain fans - we are constantly quoting Vicki Pollard and other gems. I think Bubbles Devere might be more suited on a cruise though.

Well I was thinking of buying those dollar store farm animals. Do you want a pig horse or cow ? :) MIght even be able to throw in a couple of fences :lmao::lmao:

WE need a cat 7 and cat 8 and ofcourse the walt suite

We have lots of offers of cat 11's if its ok can I fit which ever one or ones fit the tour best we we all have room numbers?

Are any of the cat 11's sideways ones?

I actually made both the costumes, and the wizard outfit matched my own costume. Anyway, just wanted to share!

AggieandBandit.jpg

LOL thats brilliant!

Speaking of animals... Do you all board them while you're gone?

We have had a sitter the last two times and they have been totally brilliant. We are planning to do the same this time. With 3 dogs and a cat, it actually works out cheaper than kennels.

....I would always say, jokingly, "You should come with us!"

Well, last night over dinner, a friend of ours told us that he and his wife will be arriving in Barcelona on Sept 15th and will be on the Magic. :scared1:

Thank goodness its a big ship! :lmao:

:laughing::laughing: Yep! That'll teach ya! :laughing::laughing:

I've just about decided that although my son does not deserve this trip, I should not punish myself. So since I don't have anyone I can leave him home with, looks like we both will be cruising....
Also, in anticipation of keeping the cruise, I had a lengthy discussion with DCL today over the fuel surcharge....I ended up getting a refund of $140. The surcharge was $224, so I'm still out $84, but hey $140 will buy me a lot of Drinks of the Day!

Well, I'm thrilled that you will be going, but feel bad that you felt you were in such a tough spot.

I'm proud of you and envious that you pushed buttons about the fuel charge. I was SO hopeful that I would get that back, too. I think it's safe to say it's not gonna happen. :headache:

....Yay, A new furbaby will help ease the pain, how could it not? They are such beautiful little bundles.....
Kimberly - so glad to hear about the new member of the family. It may seem quick but I did the same thing when the kids were little and it really did help with the grief of losing Buffy. We still missed her a lot but it helped to have a new puppy to love. And it really sounds like your mom needs her.

As you're saying (as well as some others), the bottom line is for them to heal, and they keep saying that she won't be replacing Sidney because there will never be another Sidney. When it comes down to it, I really do think this will help both of them heal, and especially mom. That's what matters!

Kimberly, I want to see pictures of the new puppy! I love puppies!!! ....

Okay! I'll post some tomorrow night. When I drove back home today, I did pick up my camera and video camera so we could commemorate Daisy's adoption week! I can't wait to meet the little rascal myself!! :goodvibes

When I returned to Grandma's tonight, we called over there to see if they indeed got her. They did and grandma said mom's husband sounded really happy. She wasn't home from work yet, so I'm excited to see mom smiling and doting over the little white girl of a fuzz ball. :rotfl2:

So speaking of my day, I had to go back home because I had a hair cut/color appointment, and as I think I mentioned yesterday, I decided to come back so I could support mom with her new family addition tomorrow. So while I was with the stylist, since I always have two appointments made in advance, the next appointment I needed to make was for right before our cruise! :goodvibes That was an awesome feeling!!! Just one more of those "little things" that makes you happy!

I've just about decided that although my son does not deserve this trip, I should not punish myself. So since I don't have anyone I can leave him home with, looks like we both will be cruising. Could change my mind in the next few days, especially if the behavior goes south, but keeping my fingers crossed.

Monica, keeping fingers crossed that the behavior stays north. I will also NOT be telling April that T is going as she will want to go. I want to enjoy myself. :)

I so would love to lose 20lbs. I have been walking home almost every night from work (~30-45 min) at a nice brisk pace. I got a Wii Fit and I don't like that I keeps telling me the weight is the same. I totally changed my eating habits over 2 years ago when I was seeing a trainer, so I eat much healthier than I did, .......... However, I do think I tend to lose weight on vacation. I think that I am going over 14 hours a day usually (and not sitting on my butt like I do at work) and use the stairs 95% of the time.

See, I'm not  I tend to lost weight also. On the PC, I lost 10 lbs. My activity level stays about the same but the eating is more controlled. So if I really want to get thin, I think I must live on the ship. :rotfl2:

Just have to get through thus week. We have a big corporate audit happening at work! AND, five birthdays and two high school graduations in a span of 1-1/2 weeks!! By the time we celebrate the last birthday on Sunday we've all had enough of seeing each other for a bit!!!

You sound like me, next month is my Christmas in July or as I sometimes refer to it - my weeks from Heck. We got 3 birthdays and 3 anniversaries and 5 of them within 3 days of each other. I thought I was good at planning things out but in retrospect, its a big hassle. Seems the kids don't like sharing my birthday month because I get what I want. :lmao:

Only 2 weeks left now to sign uo for our Secret Mickey exchange so here's a quick reminder as to how it all works ......

Welcome to the WBTA Secret Mickey:

This works along the same idea as a Secret Santa. Each participating stateroom will be matched with another stateroom, and the idea is to buy or make a gift or gifts, with a total cost per cabin of no more than $25. The gift (s) can be one big joint gift for all those in the stateroom, or small individual gifts for each person. The gifts can be left in the FE during the cruise, or you can have the room attendant put the gift in the room. You should have a tag/card that designates it as a gift from their Secret Mickey.

To enable me to match up the rooms, I will need the following information from each participating group:

1. name of participants
2. ages and genders of any children participating
3. DIS name
4. cabin number
5. each person's likes or preferences
6. each person's dislikes
7. any allergies
8. favourite Disney characters for each participant
9. hobbies or interests of each participant

This will help give the participants some idea of what they can incorporate into their gift.

Could you please PM TotallyAngelic with the information required. Thanks.

There will have to be a closing date to give people time to think about and make / buy their gifts, and I think July 1st would be about right.

The Secret Mickey reveal will happen at the Farewell lunch :thumbsup2

Still need clarification on what you mean about likes and dislikes.

Many of our friends are very jealous of our European Vacation and journey on the Disney Magic. My DW, Lauren, and I would always say, jokingly, "You should come with us!"

Daniel

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: You had better stop saying that now or you will have so many friends onboard you won't have time to play with your Dis friends!!!

Could change my mind in the next few days, especially if the behavior goes south, but keeping my fingers crossed.

Also, in anticipation of keeping the cruise, I had a lengthy discussion with DCL today over the fuel surcharge. They refused to remove it so I told them to move my booking to something in 2011 and I'd be calling them back tomorrow to move it back to this cruise. They finally agreed to reprice my trip at today's rates, but without the fuel surcharge. I ended up getting a refund of $140. The surcharge was $224, so I'm still out $84, but hey $140 will buy me a lot of Drinks of the Day!
Disney can be annoying.
We're booked for a 7, but don't have a cabin # yet. Assuming we don't get changed, you can put us on the tour list for a 7.

Our little furry girl is also just getting over some kind of doggie intestinal stuff. My next-door-neighbor's dogs have had it too. We're fortunate that one of our daughters will be caring for her while we're gone.

Ok you chatters... took me 2 days to get thru 21 pages!!!:lmao:

Talks of computers and cameras... heres a suggestion: on the room tour we get to display our camera gear and computers!:rotfl2: We could add pics of our furbabies too.. just to save some time:cool1::rotfl::lmao:

Band geeks... my DH has to be the biggest one. When he was 13 his band came in 2nd place in a L.A. county fair.. and he has played the french horn and the drums. In the Navy he played in the Drum and Bugle Corps while in boot camp, before being assigned his regular assignment on an aircraft carrier.
I guess I could be considered a geek too... I play a mean Ipod!!!:rotfl2:

Kimberly... so sorry for your parents loss of their dog, and very happy that they are finding a special place in their heart for the new puppy.

Welcome Nacho Mama!!! Cant wait to meet you in September.
Im Ann and DH is Howard, this will be our 14th Disney cruise, and celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary.

And I just noticed... we now have 3 Anns!:dance3:

Ann aka... Annie:flower3:
cool

My DW (Candida) will be bring her Canon and a couple lens. I'll be sticking with my point and shoot.

I know a little delayed, but I am still back on page 67 :rolleyes1 It's going to take me a couple weeks just to catch up with all the posts:goodvibes

I do have to bring my laptop though so I can do my DCL ressies on the 20th. :surfweb: That's 12:00am Eastern time (GMT-5) right?

Just been out and bought the first of my cruise holiday clothes, plus a little something for the fish extenders :cool1:

Oh! also just found out I passed both of my first OU (open university) courses! yay! I know they were only short courses but they were a big thing for me, and the start of my degree :woohoo::woohoo:

Fantastic Mandy, well done. You deserve some new clothes and more!!:thumbsup2

I have a boring life too, but getting up early did nothing to enhance it!!!:lmao:

Our reservation day for our PC cruise is when we are somewhere in the Atlantic on this cruise!!! I think DCL should just give us everything we want without booking as we are obviously such dedicated customers.:rotfl2:

I just wanted to pass along that birkner, HallsofVA, tweety0227, and I are all set for our private tour that includes pick-up at the airport and drop-off at our hotel! :goodvibes

In case some of you are still on the fence about it, I wanted to consolidate some information I received through this discovery process. I'm also going to post it on the main board so hopefully someone else will benefit at some point.

  • If being picked up at the airport, they ensure the vehicle picking your party up will have enough room for all the luggage and carry-on.
  • They were accommodating to multiple drop-off locations.
  • Deposit is 50 EURO; the balance is due in full at time of arrival, payable only in currency.
  • Payment towards the balance (beyond the deposit) is accepted, but know they will charge the 3.5% the credit card company charges them back to you. This can be done with multiple credit cards, too, so each family in your party could make their own on-line payment if they wish.
  • Payments can be made by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, or PayPal.

    • Group of 11 people sharing the tour -39 Euros per person
    • Group of 12 people sharing the tour -37 Euros per person
  • Cost of tour does not include any admission prices to places, although they said that the standard itinerary does not go anywhere that has an admission price.
  • If you wish to see what people think of these tours you can read some reviews on the Cruise Critic website: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1046181
  • If you want a similar experience but don't want to go the route of a private tour, they have a public daily bus group tour option as well. Pick-up and drop-off is not included since this is a public tour. I do not know how many people those buses accommodate though, so it *could* be a large group. :confused3 The daily bus group tour departs from the center of the city, but I don't know where specifically, so you would have to inquire. Cost is 45 Euros per person. Visit http://www.spaindaytours.com/bus-tours.html for more info on this option.

I can just imagine that special moment:

"Hi, I'm Bareacuda."

"I'm Nacho Mama!"
Woody
