I was thinking myself that I'll pack a black cashmere wrap
(it's lightweight), and I just might have to buy a sweatshirt on-board for late night strolls instead of packing one. Yep. Treasure's Ketch is indeed where you'll find me on the first night for Dooney and sweatshirts.

Sounds like a good idea to me! :thumbsup2 I've been on the lookout for a pink hooded jacket (thin fleece type) with a little Tink logo on it, for the cruise. Found one online but they want to charge $35 to ship it here! I'll carry on looking.....:rolleyes1

The D10 looks good, but I was thinking of the Lumix DMC-TS1 12. It seems to be more of a pocket camera with a better zoom.

Thanks I'll have a look. I use the side by side comparison on dpreview dot com though I'm not always sure what everything means :rotfl:

A pirate: or (pirate) is a little game we used to play in other threads , that when you get to a 1000th post ie 2000 or 3000 etc the you post on the post a pirate themed picture or emoticon ...it helped pass the time away while waiting for a cruise .... Silly yes I know but it was actually fun ...so ..Gismo1554 got the 1000th post therefore she pirated it ....LOL :lmao::lmao:

Ah see I missed it! ARGGGGGGGG!!! Does it count if I edit and add it?

Sorry to hear that. Perhaps you will manage next years crossing. Enjoy living in Florida!!!
Nooooo, I can't understand that. :confused3 I would support Wales if it was the other way round.

My Dad will no doubt be supporting them so he makes up for me

Tell your DH if he doesn't want to bring your walker he can piggy back you, It's his choice........walker or piggy-back! :rotfl2:

Will tell him tonight should be fuuny :)

Were all a Kodak family! I have a Kodak Easyshare and I can't remember all the ones the rest of the clan have but most are Kodak!

Yeah Another Kodak. I was beginning to feel left out.

Well, we officially cancelled the cruise this morning. I am still pretty sad about it as I was really looking forward to it. But in reality, we just could not do it this year. Since we moved back to Florida in April we had to be realistic. All our vacation savings went for the move, so that is that.
Hope you all have a magical time and I look forward to reading trip reports!!!

Sorry you can not join us this time.

As for the World Cup we cheer for all teams. Considering Canada does not its own team. But in reality we basically can cheer for all teams. Since we are so mulitcultural. As we drive we can tell what part of the city we are in just by the flags on cars.

We can tell by the noise which team won rofl. When listening to the radio they tell you what bar will be supporting what team. Too funny.

Oh does anyone have a link to those blowup chairs ( not surewhat to call them) that you put on the airplane chair and lets you sleep like you were in first class.

That is very great idea! Love it!

Yes, great idea in theory, until you get the competitve or sometimes just giddy folks posting nonsense to run up the post count. Not that I would know anything about that.............:rolleyes1

Sorry to hear you won't be able to sail with us. However, living back in Florida, I'm sure you can grab some deals on last minutes cruises.

:sad1: Sorry to hear this

Just heard from Hadley again this morning and for people that have kids in the Quest - she said they are doing it differently this time around. Here is what she said: There are now two different programs for the tweens. Ocean Quest for the 11-13s which runs non stop from open to close. All of the activities take place IN the Quest and the have the video games, crafts, games, movies, animation, karoke, etc. Additionally they have Out and About for ages 10-14. These run sporadically throughout the day and take place all over the ship (it will say where to meet but usually they meet in the Quest and go from there). This is the scavenger hunts, Karoke in Studio Sea, pool parties, sports, etc. Generally if one group was doing something "boring" the other had something interesting going on.

I hope they keep it this way for us even though we won't have tons of kids.

This sounds great!

I am sorry John and I won't get to meet you guys but know what it is like to have to cancel a cruise for work reasons. We hope to meet you on another cruise.

I am always into camera. I will be taking my Kodak Z1012 IS and my Sony camcorder. I used to be seen always taking pictures. My hubby used to joke. I spends thousand to go on Vacation at WDW and you spend all your time looking at a 2 X2 inch screen. :)

BUt now I have so many pics of the cruise send off maybe I will only come back with 500 pics instead of a 1000. :)

You sound like me!!! :rotfl:

MissMet posted on the main board that they are planning a 4 hour private day-tour in Barcelona. They'll pick them up at the airport, and drop them off at their hotel. My plans on arrival day have been to do the on/off bus. However, I'm thinking maybe this is the way to start. I have to get a taxi from the airport to hotel anyways, and the hotel said it would cost about 30 EUR. This intimate tour is 59 EUR, eliminates the taxi fare, and quickly gets me to key tourist sites. So I sent an inquiry to the tour company. I'm thinking that if this works out, I can then get back to the hotel shortly after lunchtime, rest a little (as I'm certain I'll need to), then get back out on the town to places I saw that really intrigue me, including walking the Ramblas. Anyone have insight to this private tour?

This tour sounds like something I might be interested in doing.....I was planning on the HOHO Bus, but maybe I need to check into this.....Thanks for the info Kim :thumbsup2

We are somewhat interested in this tour also. What day were you thinking?

We arrive on Friday Sept 17 at about 9:15AM......so that would be the day we would do the tour. Probably do like Kim was saying, do the tour and then go to the hotel to rest before meeting with everyone at the Hard Rock at 5PM.

DH and I are coming in on Wednesday at 11:10 AM so we are trying to tour all three days. We have to move hotels to the Le Meridien on Friday so we were planning an early tour with another tour operator on Friday.

Decisions, decisions!!

Just my thoughts....
:surfweb:

Ok I went over to to see what ideas people where using to be announced when the come aboard

This one had me laughing so hard I was crying. Not good when you are doing reception lol.

You know when you are walking off the gangway and onto the ship that crewmember asks you for your name?

I’ve always wanted to say something like “Hi, we are back for our 10th Disney voyage. We are Sam and Ella."

Then listens to their introduction. :rotfl2:

Now say Sam and Ella out loud :)

The plate of cheese being man-handled sounds horrible. I would not have ordered that.

This sounds great - and with a smaller group of kids - I bet they have a blast!

I just realized that we've achieved 69 pages of posts in only one week! It's a full-time job to keep up!

I can keep up if things stay calm at work and my kids stay healthy... Oh, and if I stay in town... And maybe not sleep...

I will meet you at the Dooney display... I am not packing a sweatshirt for any of us, so it will be one bag and 4 sweatshirts for us please...

of course you can , your a Pirate .....
TAKE WHAT YOU CAN !!!!

pirate:

GIVE NOTHING BACK!!

Couldn't resist the color scheme...
