Amy, I have been dealing with Hypo thyroid for about 10 years now, took 6 of them to get my levels normalish, it should take 6 months -> a year. I will keep you in my thoughts.

Dee, I know the feeling, lol I have in-laws that I like better then the family member some of the time, alright most of the time. I will keep your family in my thoughts for a good outcome for all.

Well they think they think they know what wrong with my arm. I started to having issue turn my arm face down. They did some tests at the office and they think a have a burst pronator teres muscle.....

Oh Stephen! This doesn't sound good! Keep us posted.

There are lots of prayers going out tonight - Stephen - your arm thing sounds so painful. Keep us posted.

1DisneyQueen - I feel so bad for your grandchildren. It is obvious the love you have for your family and you will be in my thoughts.

TheDisneyGirl02 - UGH! on the diet and weight loss. I don't like it one bit either - don't get discouraged. You can only do what is right for you. Don't look at other people - be proud of your own accomplishments.:cool1: I am sure you have many! So glad to hear about Remy!!! My fave movie and Disney/Pixar character!

Kimberly - good luck with the FE's. I was in Michael's tonight and came up with about 3 more ideas, but had to turn them down. I will have a whole luggage with just FE's - now that would be fun. If we were leaving from Port Canaveral and I could drive, everybody would get a shovel and bucket with Disney art and Castaway painted on the side, loaded with sand toys so we could all make sand castles, but I cannot do that on this trip, but just so you know. I know it wouldn't fit IN the fish extender, but it could hang from the fish.

Goofy Granny - I am running to grab a box of tissues! THANK YOU!!!!

Thank you to the people who volunteered to fill the Dis medicine cabinet - I have put you on the list. :flower3:

Todd - that stinks about the web site - hang in there and tell us what fun things you booked.

Another dining question - has anyone noticed that when you don't eat in one of the 3 dining rooms because of an excursion, tired, whatever that the wait staff gets kind of "disturbed". I noticed that more on the last 2 cruises, but I didn't know if it was me just feeling guilty. Any thoughts?

We didn't do any of the main dining rooms on our recent 3 day cruise, I visited on the early on the second night to drop off our envelopes, it really throw them for a loop. They did ask why we hadn't been, I told them our choice to check out other options and thanked them for their hard work overall and gave them the envelopes. I also stopped by the table to said hello to our tablemates and let them know it was just our choice this cruise to not do the dining rooms. But part of the reason for our choice was that I/us had had such great DIS tablemates over several previous cruises, that it was hard to go back to unknowns, lol.

As I promised. I stopped by. The grandchildren are bathed and have gone home. My precious DGD cried becasue she wanted to spend the night. Always breaks my heart to say no, but she is brutal to sleep with and I have to work tomorrow early. I guess this weekend she will be here overnight and it will no doubt be a sleepless weekend. Truth be told, I would not trade it for the world:lovestruc

Thank you for the well wishes and prayers. I do realize that he is to old to punish and ground and that I have NO control over him. I sure would like to shake the stuffing out of him.;) To make it harder, I am a therapist.:confused3 So to make sure I have clear boundries, I focus on those precious grandchildren. I refrain from making any comments (you should see the bite marks on my lips :)) except when it pertains to the children. They are the priority here and I am quick to remind him of that! I am certain he knows exactly where I stand and I will not waver. This has been draining me for the past couple months and there have been a lot of sleepless nights. I appreciate all the input and opinions and for making me safe enough to share.

Now we can return to our regularly scheduled cruise planning.:thumbsup2

Yes I have found that the servers are a bit "disturbed" if you do not show up. I found that if we told them in advance they were very appreciative. I am sure they are concerned you might show up late or that they will not get a tip.

Well they think they think they know what wrong with my arm. I started to having issue turn my arm face down. They did some tests at the office and they think a have a burst pronator teres muscle. The worst case scenario. I will have an MRI to find out for sure. If it that i may need surgery or months of physical therapy. I'm hoping it heals soon.

Stephen

Sorry to hear this!! Hope that you feel better soon and can avoid durgery!

Ok, I was tempted by an e-mail coupon tonight....so sad

I bought this with a 30% off code, http://www.skinit.com/details.php?resourceId=5291 I have bought their product before and it is still intact and looking great. Oh I can't wait to put it on :goodvibes

Pj

I have their skin on my laptop. It has really held up. We customized it with my own picture collage. This would be very tempting for me as well. We have a fathers day gift this would be great on.:thumbsup2

Oh how awful. I hope you are back to "normal" soon so you can fully enjoy this cruise.

I think that the servers get a plan and when it is deviated from it throws them off. This is just a guess, but I know that when Stephen ate on deck with his buddies and we didn't let our servers know they were disappointed / upset that he wasn't there. If we gave them a heads up the night before, they were fine. It is all about setting expectations I guess.

I am now clear that I need to give up my job and life to keep up with you guys. If you miss a day here, you miss a lot.

Had to watch the final episode of BL and had the grandkids for a few hours. my DGS is only a year, but he is perpetual motion and you can not take your eye off him for a minute. He loves the stairs and my DH has let him climb up on a foot table:eek: That boy has no fear. He also has learned to throw things down the sairs and between the railings (need a new calculator now). My DGD is 3.5 (will be 4 in two weeks) and thinks she is in charge. I have to gently remind her that she should be three and I will be the nana:thumbsup2 She is very articulate and definately has a mind of her own (no idea where she gets that from;)). This morning she said: "Nana, just so you know, I will make good choices today" I was glad to hear that.:thumbsup2 Dh watches them everyday so it is in my best interest for them to make "good choices". Then when I get home he is in a good mood:goodvibes

So, tonight I am watching them, again, so their parents can go to dinner and finalize some plans (they are splitting up). I will try to corral them in my office so I can check in on you guys;) If anyone wants to send some prayers and pixie dust this way to help my son wake up and realize he is a fool, I would appreciate it. This whole seperation has been stressful and painful. I love my Dil as a daughter and do not want to lose her. Sometimes, I prefer to have her over my son...is that wrong?

I will do my best to catch up tonight. Have a great night and thanks for letting me vent.

Feel free to vent - I have learned that this group is like family! And if I haven't said it before, thanks for being there to celebrate, listen to my grieps and for just being excited about this trip with me!!!

Prayers and pixiedust for it not to be something that requires surgery or months of physical therapy. pixiedust:

I hear that last part.....We haven't eaten with "strangers" at dinner since before our 2007 EBTA cruise. We've been on 4 cruises since then and always had either our family (my parents and niece last year) or with our repeat DIS friends (NHDisneylover, Hoagie Pie, Scoobypop, etc.----all of whom cancelled this trip except now Hoagie is back on but she's in early dining). So this will be our first cruise getting seated with "unkowns" again....and we're a little nervous but will hopefully cope!!

(We have also been trying to figure out if we can find a way to have the same servers for our B2B, too)

I know that linked dinning is being worked on for both the early and late dining, check page 1. I would just let your head server know and I think it would be done that you have the same servers. I know the on shore dining specialist does the table groupings, she might also be able to check that your serving team remains the same, if you want to do it ahead of time. Just call DCL and ask for the Inventory Control-Dining Specialist's fax number, and send your request about 6 weeks ahead of the Med cruise.

Stephen, keep us updated. This does not sound like a short journey. Keep on top of it and don't let anyone put you off.

Hey everyone! Just wanted to let you all kow that I received notice from Autumn at DCL Concierge stating that their dining rotations and themes were incorrect (um, yeah...). She is supposed to get a new sheet with rotations for me. She is also trying to nail down dailing time and if there will be fireworks as we sail from barcelona or not. So, more info on that to come...

However, it will be late tomorrow before I can send as I have to really work tomorrow... Not that I don't work while I am at work (heaven knows I do) but my VP is in the office tomorrow and I am not sure that he cares about DIS like I do...

On a fun note, We cave taken the first chain off of our countdown chain. We are 111 days until we leave for Spain!!

WAHOO!!

Hi all!

Back from a quick visit to FIL in KC who doesn't have wifi:scared1:

My brother was nice enough to come down and stay with my folks so DH & I could go visit.

Looks like I will be here helping out for a little longer and then back at the end of the month for the rest of the summer to help get them out of this house and into something better for them.

I haven't had a chance to catch up but had some great news in my PMs today.

I will give it its own message following. :woohoo:

Oh hun! I didn't know you were going through this medical roller coaster! I just cannot imagine the frustration you're faced with. Love ya!

Amy, I have been dealing with Hypo thyroid for about 10 years now, took 6 of them to get my levels normalish, it should take 6 months -> a year. I will keep you in my thoughts.

We are flying Brisbane - Singapore - London - Barcelona. It's the only way we could get there with Qantas, who we are gold members with so try to use them as much as possible. Aaarrgghhhhhh!:scared1:
I hear you with the weight loss issues! I have some hormonal problems which directly affect my weight. I have to be sooooo good all the time just to lose 1/2 kilo a fortnight, and my husband can drop 2 or 3 kilo's in 1 week and cheat! Very frustrating. I go to a personal trainer 3 times a week, and walk/jog at least 2 more. I eat OK, not perfect but OK. I refuse to go on a diet, it always ends in me putting on more than I lost. So I just try to make good choices on a daily basis, and splurge now and then. Life is for living!!!
Oh, Remy, We hadn't had an update for a while, I'm glad he's doing better :thumbsup2
Have a wonderful time at GLEE :cool1:

Thank you everybody for the kind words. I'm hoping for a loss tomorrow, but I'm not holding my breath. I had a wonderful dinner of shrimp stir fry (made with nothing but cooking spray and a little water) and it was great! I could eat it again tomorrow night! We'll see what happens tomorrow night...at least I can look forward to Glee this weekend! :)

Great news!!! Sue was able to arrange 4 tables of 4 for afternoon tea on Sept 25. I believe that tea is held at 3 pm.

In order for the concierge to lock in those tables for us, we need to give them our "real" names and reservation numbers.

As for any tea you would book on board, there will be a charge to your room for the tea. I believe it is $10 per person.

These are the people who have signed up for tea.
