:woohoo::woohoo:
Hi everyone.
Just a general post as I wanted to say bye for a couple of weeks, as I am off on the Med cruise. :dance3:
We have decided to get an earlier flight, so as to make sure we get there, with this stupid ash cloud. :headache:.
We havent been to Barcelona before, so lm sure we can amuse ourselves for 3 days :lmao:.
Will post back when I return.
Have a good few weeks, I am sure with all the daily posts it will take ages to catch up. :)

Enjoy!!!

I definitely prefer college football over pro. My two favorite teams are the UCLA Bruins and whoever is playing against USC :rolleyes1 (University of Spoiled Children :lmao: )!

Mrs. Mork - didn't know you were a Trojan fan! I even have a Trojan helmet for my cruise door! As far as mdwoodman - ha ha! Hopefully we will see you in Diversions - LOVE College football. How you feel about USC, I feel about Ohio State (sorry Buckeye Gal - you know I adore you!). USC did have a bad year last year and this year will even be worse, but still love 'em!!!:cheer2:

Have a wonderful trip! I can't wait to hear about it when you return!

I love all of the puppy pictures! Keep posting them! They are making me smile even though I don't feel much like smiling with my job search. I'm just frustrated with how I have to go about applying for the different jobs. I take so much time and consideration when I apply and then I really never hear anything back. My family is telling me that it takes a long time and to be patient. I know it takes a long time, but I can't help but be frustrated with it. Sigh...sorry about the vent. :sad1:

Sorry you are so sad TheDisneyGirl02 - don't give up, I know it can be frustrating. It does take a long time, but it never hurts to call where you sent your resume. We always used to like that where I worked - it showed that you were really interested. Of course that was 10 years ago and I know times have changed. Hang in there and keep us posted!!:grouphug:

LittleDisneyLovers - LOVE the doggie!! How cute! Holly is adorable and those eyes - it always speaks volumes!

I hope we don't have the same magazines that way we can swap!! I told my MIL I need a longer FE so I can put magazines in there to share with other people. Goofy Granny is an excellent seamstress!

No chance of the same mags, Mine are from Australia! ;)

spoodle, :lmao: I just love how they make up names for cross breeds, we get seagles, shnoodles, sprockrs, you name it they will cross it and give it a name.

But seriously, that puppy dog is seriously cute.

I think we've had this conversation, but...they only call them posh names to charge you more money for them! Really they are just cross breads or 'muts'! But oh so worth every penny! ;)
I also love your Orly's bling, Is it doggy bling or human bling? I love the range of doggy clothes and stuff in USA, not much available here. I didn't get a chance to look in the UK. Looks like you have a good range though.

Well, i cant wait to see more pics , Orly with the "bling " on, never gets dressed up unless its for his beagle club partys he goes to.
I just reread you post, he is called, orlando !!!! orly for short, cause by the time I got to orl he was 5 mins up the dam road!!!!:lmao:
:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I made a very quick run (well, ok drive) to town today and decided to make a quick stop to look for shoes....less than half an hour and I found TWO pair for the cruise! SCORE!! :dance3: Sandals and a pair of white tennies that are very light weight. Yay!!! Now I am set and think I can make it with 3 pair of shoes...black heels for dress up dinners, black sandals I just bought for daytime ship and also for cruise casual dinners. Tennies for excursions. Yeah!

Well done!!! I'm hoping to bring 3 pairs too, 1 pair of heels, some gold sandals and my trusty crocs, oh and maybe some flip flops? I wish DH didn't have to wear shoes, his feet are so big and his shoes take up too much luggage space, I made him throw a pair away at the airport once, might have to do that again. :lmao:

How lovely is she. We had two cocker spaniels up to the age of 12 & 13 and are now looking after one who is 3 years for a few months.

Did your love the water? Apparently it is the CS in Holly, She loves the water, jumps in any chance she gets. Have to keep the pool fence closed or she swims, she jumps of the pontoon, she even gets in the shower with me quite often!

You lucky thing!!! Have a wonderful time, I hope the nasty ash cloud doesn't rear it's ugly head and affect your cruise!

This is a place where you can vent without apologising, We're all here to listen, anytime! :grouphug: You will probably find a job in the most unlikely place when you least expect it!

Ok, I really should be doing some paperwork and doing my tax, urghhh!!!
I procrastinated until now, it is 10:30am here. Have had a cuppa tea and 2 freddo frogs, So really should do something productive now. :surfweb:

We're stuck with June 20th as just silvers. Other than Palo dinner and brunch, there is nothing we are dying to get signed up for. I'm not sure we are doing very many DCL excursions because overpriced x 5 people is way expensive, and most of the cool things would exclude our 3 year old. We may sign up for something in the Spa. We did the Rasoul Mud thing last time and it was fun but so steamy that it was a bit much. I kept feeling faint (low blood pressure) - I'm sure that was romantic for DH!.

What are other people interested in signing up for on June 5/20/July 5?

DEFINITELY Palo brunch and dinner (We've had dinner at Palo as many as 4 times on a 7 night cruise - although that was our third Magic cruise in a year-and-a-half, so we knew the whole Palo crew. We wouldn't even look at the menu or order; they would just start bringing us food! They even finagled dinner for us with the Captain one night. :cool1: )

As far as excursions, probably only the snorkeling on Tortola. You're right, they tend to be overpriced - and led by cattle herders. :headache:
At the other ports of call we'll do independent tours to catch the highlights.

We did the two flags tour on St. Maarten one time and were sorely disappointed. The French side was dirty and run down, we had to get lunch on our own (not very good and the waiter was extremely rude), and then the bus tried to leave early while my DW was in the bathroom. I had to jump out and stand in front of the bus to make him wait!

That said, St. Maarten (Dutch side) is still probably our favorite island. We fill up our travel mugs with juice (orange/mango or whatever is being served at topsiders), take the water taxi to the downtown pier, stop in at the liquor store on the corner to buy a bottle of Mt. Gay rum for mixing with our juice, and head left to the end of the beach. We rent lounges and and an umbrella for the day (usually about 20 USD, sometimes including a bucket of cold beer!), and just relax with our own rum punch. I've had 7 surgeries for skin cancer, so I stay under the umbrella with SPF 45 all over my body but it's nice to just relax and listen to the ocean. :cool2: I just have to keep DW out of the jewelry shops. :scared1:

Oh yeah, back to DCL reservations: I'll probably book a spa day for DW. :cloud9:

I was at the Rose Bowl when UCLA (the underdogs, of course!) beat Ohio State 23-10. One of the best days of college (at least I remember it!). :drinking1:
Hard to believe that was 3 decades ago!

Looks like we may have some rivalries going in Diversions! :cheer2:

Have a great, great time. We won't post anything until you get back!:rolleyes1:lmao::surfweb::laughing:

I know it is frustrating. We have friends looking for work and everything is email applications now. They too complain that they never hear back, never even know if the application was received. Go ahead and vent, we are here to listen.

I definitely prefer college football over pro. My two favorite teams are the UCLA Bruins and whoever is playing against USC :rolleyes1 (University of Spoiled Children :lmao: )!

:lmao: So, I guess Dennis was the token poor kid at the University of Spoiled Children....no scholarships, no grants, no money from any family, just a full time job supporting a wife and two kids, some loans that took 10 years to pay off and lots of hard work. Spoiled I guess. ;) I really am quite proud of him. :lovestruc He was the first to graduate from USC school of pharmacy ( or so they told us) while working full time (and he had me and the kids to distract him also!). The Dean told me on graduation day that he had won some money on Dennis. Seems they had a bet going as to whether he would make it through. He had to carry 19 units and he worked sometimes 48 hours a week, always at least 40. He slept about 4 hours a night for 9 years. Determined man. Now he sleeps alot!! :rotfl:

Ok, now don't tell him I was bragging about him!!

We will look for your door!! :cheer2: I am actually not the Trojan, but I did get to go to all the student games with Dennis and became quite the addict. :thumbsup2 I have to say that we were not happy campers when UGLY ( :rotfl:) got Norm Chow.

See you in Diversions!!!! :cheer2:

We went to two Rose Bowls while Dennis was attending there. Michigan both times and we beat them both times. :cheer2: 1975-1980. Those were some fun years for us.

OK guys....anyone who has taken the Disney insurance this is for you....we booked our cruise in 2008 and the insurance for my DW and I was almost $400.00. Checked last night to see if the price of the cruise had changed....we payed the cruise off in February.....the insurance had gone down. I called DCL today and they stated that since I had payed the cruise off the could not make any adjustments unless I cancel and rebook and that would mean losing our onboard credit. Anyway, I explained that I thought that since we still had time before the cruise went into the penalty phase, we should be able to make changes....After a while on hold, they came back with the change without any problems. Our insurance went from $388 to $158 for both of us. The coverage is still the same and we saved $230.00--significant money. My advice....check your insurance and call if you paid more. More money for us to spend on the ship!

I have great respect for anybody who worked their way through college - and especially with a family to support!

I had a tuition and books scholarship at UCLA, which made all the difference since my parents couldn't afford to pay for college. I only had to work part time to pay for my apartment. I got my master's degrees going to school part time while I was on active duty, so the Marine Corps paid 75% of those. After I "retired" I went back to get my PhD while working full time and supporting my family, so I know how difficult it can be!

Kudos to Dennis - and I probably will tell him that you were bragging. ;)

My husband attended when John Robinson was coach. We loved it and couldn't speak for a couple of days when we beat Ohio State (twice) in the last 2 years! We went to the Orange Bowl in 2005 ('04 season) and what a game! The best I will ever see in my lifetime. LOVE IT! I think we have seen the good years come and go, but it was fun while it lasted!

I agree with Mrs. Mork - believe me, we were not spoiled, LOTS of bills later, we have paid off the law loans. I also love Navy because he attended the Naval Academy also - that has to go for a little something.;) Diversions will be fun!!! Good Rivalry never hurts anyone and please come and look at my door!

I believe the post # 1 says no orders will be taken until May 2010 but Sue can correct me if that has changed.

From Post # 1

Okay all you Pirates,Princesses,Wenches,Swabbies and just you regular folk , I just got done talking to my T shirt printer (He does all the uniforms and Tees for my 6 Football teams) and He has cleared our design for the Cruise Embarkation T shirt - These will be silk screened and will look wonderful ... We will only be doing White as it will be Hot Hot Hot when we leave Barcelona , ( I was going to do Black but we opted against it)

So , below is the design for the Front and Back of the Official TransAtlantic Pirates Embarkation T-Shirt - We will not take orders till May of 2010 - Cost should be around 10.00 to 12.00 dollars per shirt , maybe less plus shipping charge .... We will probably take order for about a month to allow enough time for shipping to everyone .... So without further ado , Here is the Design
Just my thoughts....
:surfweb:

Yeah - this changed... Todd has been a bit busy!! :)

We are taking orders for a few more weeks - and he is finishing the designs now. I will see if we can't get the front page updated - especially since we are going to need a part 6!!

Watch ot with the Buckeye knocks... Im pretty sure DH will be ready to defend his poisonous nuts...

I was at the Rosebowl many many moons ago... Jack Trudeau led the Illini...right to the sewer... The team hasn't been the same since...

Seems like we will have a good set of teams to root for, or against... :) We are all looking forward to it! Poor Becca - she felt left out, so we told her she could bring her Buckeye Jersey... :)

popcorn:: We are ready! Let College football begin!!!:yay:popcorn::

So, thinking about doing a blog for the trip. Well, beyond thinking about it... I started one. not sure I will stick with it, but, I am trying. Part of why is that we are going to have Stephen write one when school starts and keep it up for the trip. I will probably get a small internet package and we will compose off line, and then upload. I think it will be a good exercise for him, and he can share his vacation with his class. I hope that he will have enough educational content that the teachers let the classes read it...

Anyway, if anyone is interested in my first ever blog.... here it is... http://suekraft.blogspot.com/

He had completed two tours in VietNam prior to college. He was a "late bloomer" he says. :) He got the GI bill for his first years ($300 a month because he had a family!) and that helped buy books, etc. But no GI bill for the advanced degree.

And thank you for serving.

He was there during Robinson's time too!! We loved him! Dennis, our grandson and our son got to go to the Sept '08 Ohio State/USC game. Supposed to be the game of the year, but turned out to be kind of a rout. Our niece was a student at the time and scored them some tickets! It had been a long time since he had been to a home game. We lived on OR for 21 years and had to deal with Ducks everywhere. We did grow to like the Beavers alot though except when they were playing USC, of course. :rolleyes1 Now we are in Missoula, MT and have another great team to support - the Montana Grizzlies are among the best in their league. :cheer2: We have gone to one Grizzly game since we moved here. Great, great fun!! We just now realized that we will be sailing during football season. We have not done that before. What fun it will be to watch the games in Diversions!

And thank your husband for serving as well!!

Taking orders!! Please PM info to me.

Thanks for doing this Sue! I just wanted to see if you were taking orders for the logo shirts or the Drink Me Up shirts or both? I'm pretty sure we're interested in both, but I wanted to double check first! Also, when is the latest we can sign up for the tastings and are you the right person to tell? I can't keep track! LOL! Thanks in advance!
